Stefan had Carlos’ apprentice, Caleb, tell his family. So, Ishac’s meeting with Wesley went well.

Wesley was Caleb’s elder brother. In his thirties, he looked like a successful man.

“Mr. Sanders, my intention for this visit has been made known to you in advance. Let’s get right to the point.” As soon as Ishac entered the office, she took out the papers straight away.

“Ms. Ranchy, don’t be in a hurry. Sit down and have a cup of tea and take your time…” Wesley asked his secretary to serve Ishac tea.

Ishac thanked him, took a sip, cleared her throat, and started talking about things.

Wesley laughed, “Poly Pharmaceutical is not doing well now, is it? A lot of Grade-A tertiary hospitals have turned you down.”

Ishac froze and said, “Yes… But that’s not important. Let’s get back to business.”

As soon as she returned to the topic, Wesley immediately digressed, “That business battle between Giradia Group and Porter Group last year took my breath away…”

Ishac patiently responded, turning the conversation back again. But Wesley just kept talking about others and didn’t seem to want to talk about wonder drug at all.

Finally, Ishac couldn’t help herself, narrowed her eyes, and laughed, “Mr. Sanders, you don’t want to talk about it, do you?”

Wesley froze and said, “Ms. Ranchy, you have known? Haha, my acting skills are really bad!”

Ishac said coldly, “Since Mr. Sanders doesn’t want to talk about it, then just say so. Why waste time?”

Wesley shook his head, “I still have to take my brother into consideration. After all, he is the apprentice of Dr. Sanders. Honestly, I’m already being generous by taking the time to see you today. Otherwise, it would be useless for Poly Pharmaceutical’s people to get down on their knees and beg me.”

Ishac listened to Wesley’s words with anger.

Stefan had chosen Barnes Pharmaceutical as the partner because Caleb was from Barnes Pharmaceutical. They could make money together. But she didn’t expect that Wesley, the chairman of Barnes Pharmaceutical, didn’t care at all. He even said something so outrageous!

“Since Barnes Pharmaceutical has no intention to cooperate, there is no need for me to sit down here!”

Ishac stood up and was ready to leave.

At that moment, Mr. MacMillan appeared at the door.

Mr. MacMillan smiled and said, “Ms. Ranchy, are you leaving so soon?”

Ishac frowned. She had heard what Stefan had said yesterday.

“Ms. Ranchy, please tell Mr. Evans,” said Mr. MacMillan with a smile.

“Please say it!” Ishac looked at Mr. MacMillan indifferently.

Mr. MacMillan sighed and said, “Please ask Mr. Evans not to make wonder drugs or find a partner.

Even if the wonder drugs are produced, the Health Bureau will not approve them!”

Ishac’s fist tightened. Mr. MacMillan was too arrogant. It seemed that Wesley’s attitude today was related to Mr. MacMillan!

“You have no say in the matter! The wonder drug formula we bought can benefit the entire Hechland society. If you stand in the way of such a great trend, you will be crushed to death sooner or later,”

Ishac looked at Mr. MacMillan and said with a sneer.

“And you, Wesley! Mr. Evans originally thought that there was money for us both to earn. Since you are unwise, there is no need for us to cooperate. Don’t come begging us.”

Wesley froze and laughed, “She said I would beg her! Hahaha… Even if we cooperate to produce it, Mr. MacMillan will not give the approval to pass!”

Mr. MacMillan laughed, “I can help you.”

“Tell Stefan… Tell him to take his shirt off and kneel in front of my door for a day and a night. I’ll consider helping you guys.”

Ishac laughed out loud and said, “Haha! Making amends? You don’t deserve it!”

Mr. MacMillan said indifferently, “Of course, he can choose not to do it. Then this so-called wonder drug formula will never be released.”

Ishac pointed at Mr. MacMillan and sneered, “Remember what you said today, and what I said!”

Mr. MacMillan scoffed at Wesley, “Women are eloquent, not capable…”

Ishac walked out of the office, hearing the two men’s sneers and feeling angry. However, she was worried.

Barnes Pharmaceutical had turned them down, and Mr. MacMillan would use his authority to keep wonder drugs from being approved.

Poly Pharmaceutical could find an out-of-province company to do the manufacturing. But the cost was high, the shipping was inconvenient, and the time it would take to finalize the details was a huge hassle.

Soon, Ishac returned to Poly Pharmaceutical holding her anger.

When she entered Stefan’s office, she found him lazily playing a game and became even angrier.

She turned off the power. Stefan cursed and almost jumped up.

Ishac thought he should start an optimistic family and become the patriarch.

“I also met Mr. MacMillan. He said you should kneel at his door and apologize. Or else, he will let our wonder drugs fail to pass!” Ishac slapped Stefan on the back and said angrily.

“He’s overconfident in control of us…” Stefan laughed and continued, “But I didn’t expect the rejection by Barnes Pharmaceutical. There’s some trouble… Contacting an out-of-province pharmaceutical company? It’s too late for that… It’s kind of hard…”
