Chapter 500
The Greatest Man Alive
Rikkus was the place where Jasmine had grown up, or course she wanted to go back there. However, she hadnât been there for so many years. To her, the Reagan family in Rikkus was still a nightmare.
The reason why she was working so hard now was to accumulate enough capital to return to Rikkus and get back everything that belonged to her.
Jasmine didnât care about the so-called right to inherit the property, but since those people targeted her because of that, she should make efforts to fight for it!
She looked at Moses and repeated seriously, âI want to go back to Rikkus!â
Moses nodded slightly and then said, âGood. You can go directly to Rikkus. Now you are stronger than before.â
With Jasmineâs current ability, she would only end up to death if she went back to Jasmine to fight with the Reagan family alone. However, Moses would support her, and she would have the power to play with them.
âI hope I can accomplish something in Rikkus this time!â Jasmine said with firm eyes.
âI believe it. You worked so hard after all.â Moses comforted her.
At around four oâclock in the afternoon, Moses received a call.
âMr. Evans, whatâs the matter with your company? Todayâs medicine has not been delivered, do you know that this will delay our work?â a man shouted angrily.
âSorry, Mr. Wordsworth! Thereâs something wrong with our company, and Iâll deal with it right away,â
Moses apologized hurriedly.
Mr. Wordsworth said impatiently, âWhat happened? If your medicines canât be delivered in time, donât blame me for being rude!â
Moses replied, âSorry, Mr. Wordsworth, I canât handle that!â
Mr. Wordsworth asked, âWhatâs going on?â
Moses said, âI offended someone, and now heâs revenging on me! He said that there was something wrong with my medicine, so they withheld my medicine and checked it slowly. I can do nothing about itâ¦â
Mr. Wordsworth was stunned for a moment and then said angrily, âThatâs unreasonable! Doesnât he know that these medicines will be delivered to our branches of the Rosefinch War Zone? Doesnât he know that the soldiers are waiting for these medicines?â
Moses rubbed his chin and said, âHe should know that, but he said he didnât care about itâ¦â
âBastard, wait for me!â Mr. Wordsworth growled angrily and then hung up the phone.
Moses stood up in a hurry and said to Jasmine, âLetâs go. We have to go to the company quickly. Mr.
Wordsworth is angry now, and we have to show our attitude.â
Jasmine chuckled and said, âArenât you in a hurry just now? Why are you so worried now?â
Moses glared at her and said, âWe must show a positive attitude in dealing with the matter, otherwise, if Mr. Wordsworth finds that Iâm so indifferent about not being able to deliver the medicine, he would be furious.â
Jasmine nodded and said, âThatâs right. Hurry!â
Moses and Jasmine left the coffee shop after paying the bill, and then they hurried back to the company.
In Poly Pharmaceutical, Mr. MacMillan was checking the medicines leisurely and carefully with his people.
âMr. MacMillan, please donât be so hard on us this time. If we canât deliver the medicines, we will be blamed by customers,â the manager of the storage and transportation department begged Mr.
MacMillan.
Mr. MacMillan said indifferently, âWhy are you panicking? Drug safety is very important, and we must check these medicines carefully. Otherwise, no one can afford the consequences if something goes wrong.â
The manager sighed and gave up begging.
Mr. MacMillan came here early in the morning with his people, and they checked these medicines slowly one by one for almost a day, but there was nothing wrong with them.
At this moment, Jasmine drove back, and Moses was the first to get out of the car. After getting out of the car, he stretched himself.
The manager shouted, âMr. Evans is back!â
When people saw Moses coming back, they couldnât help but cheer up.
âMr. Evans!â
Moses was their backbone, and they all thought that Mr. MacMillan, who came to make trouble, would be in trouble.
Mr. MacMillan sneered and thought.
Itâs still useless! As long as Poly Pharmaceutical makes a shipment, we will come to check it every time!
Moses walked directly to Mr. MacMillan and said, âHi, Mr. MacMillan. Are you so bored to personally led your team to check our medicines?â
Mr. MacMillan lit a cigarette and said, âYeah. Drug safety is important, and it must be supervised carefully. Otherwise, it would be a life-and-death matter if something goes wrong!â
Moses asked, âHow is the checking? Are there any problems with these medicines?â
Mr. MacMillan sighed, âWeâre still working on it. I donât know if there are any problems with them for the time being. We will know when we finish this. Mr. Evans, am I delaying your business?â
Moses said with a smile, âNo!â
âMr. Evans, he did it on purpose! They ask us to re-open the medicines for them to check And after they are done, we have to re-pack it!â An employee yelled in dissatisfaction.
He was a transporter.
These transporters lived on routes to deliver medicine. They wouldnât get paid because they were delayed for the whole day today. They didnât care who the man was, but they knew that he was the one who made them not be able to work.
Moses glanced at Mr. MacMillan and said, âMr. MacMillan, is that true?â
âWhat? Yeah, Iâm picking a fight here on purpose, so what? Besides, itâs my duty to make trouble for you drug dealers,â Mr. MacMillan responded with a sneer.
Mosesâs eyes turned cold, and then he said, âDo you know the consequences of doing this? Youâre delaying not only our delivery of medicine but the hospitalâs treatment. This is a life-and-death matterâ¦â
Mr. MacMillan yawned and said, âThen you can kneel and apologize to me. If you beg me for mercy, maybe Iâll let you go this time. What? You donât want to? If you donât want to, then we can only continue our work!â
Mr. MacMillan said with an arrogant tone and wanted to force Moses to bow his head.
Moses looked at him with a half-smile and said, âIf these medicines cannot be delivered, Poly Pharmaceutical will certainly suffer losses. However, the person who suffers the most is not us, but you!â
âHahaha!â Mr. MacMillanâs subordinates burst into thunderous laughter and all shook their heads.
Mr. MacMillan looked at Moses with disdain and said, âReally? What will you do to make me suffer this loss?â
