Chapter 81
The Greatest Man Alive
Wendy looked at Nathan like he was a lunatic.
Is he really out of his mind?
Is he going to fight in front of the chief police officer?!
âItâs not good to waste food.â Nathan said to Judy seriously, and then picked up the plate.
Judy was stunned for a moment, then spit at Nathan, she cursed, âYou crazy!â
Nathan avoided it easily, and then the dish in his hand directly covered Judyâs face. Judy fell on the ground embarrassedly.
âYou are so courageous!â James couldnât help being furious.
Jasonâs expression turned serious. He pulled out his gun and said in a deep voice, âPlease kneel down immediately with your hands on your head. Otherwise, I will regard it as resisting arrest and provoking the police, and I have the right to shoot you on the spot.â
Judy was covered with oil stains and spittle.
Her body trembled, and she shouted angrily, âI love to waste food. Dare you do it again?â
Nathan nodded seriously and said, âIt seems that you still donât understand how precious food is. I must explain it to you today!â
Judy sneered. As long as he dared to make a move, Jason would shoot him. She didnât believe Nathan was faster than the gun!
âMaster Evans, what are you doing here? Mr. Hanks is here too. Long time no see! Ms. Wendy and Mr.
Dawson, you all are hereâ¦â A voice came from the door.
Someone showed up. It was Carl who Nathan had greeted earlier.
âMr. Hopp!â James was taken aback for a moment, then greeted him.
âMr. Hopp, why are you here?â Jason smiled and put away his gun.
The other police officers also greeted Carl.
Nathan calmly said, âSome people are wasting food. Iâm teaching them not to.â
Carl laughed and said, âThatâs good!â
Jasonâs expression froze suddenly, and he said in a deep voice, âMr. Hopp, this person is a criminal suspect. He beat up Mr. Dawsonâs employees, and he even did it in front of me just nowâ¦â
âHaha, you are joking. As Master Evans said, he is telling people the truth about cherishing food. He is not beating anyone,â Carl said with a smile on his face.
Jason was startled for a moment, and then he understood. Obviously, Carl came here to support Nathan!
James understood it, too. His face became gloomy.
Judy said in surprise, âMr. Hopp, look at these things on my face. He did it! You canât favor him like this, is there any law?â
Carl glanced at Judy and said, âLaw? In Mimar City, Mr. Hanksâs words are the laws. Mr. Hanks, what do you say?â
Jason said awkwardly, âYou are joking. Iâm just a mere police officerâ¦â
Jason would never dare to offend Carl. After all, his father, Gerard, was the boss of Mimar City. If he offended him, there was no way he could continue to mess around in town.
Gerard had managed Mimar City in an orderly manner in the past few years, and his future was promising. Those high officials liked him a lot, and he might be promoted in the future. It was not worth offending him.
âMr. Hopp, my people have been beaten!â James said gloomily.
âI know, but shouldnât people who waste food be beaten? Wouldnât it be nice to be taught a lesson?â
Carl asked in surprise.
Jamesâs lips twitched fiercely. He was sullen, but he couldnât say anything.
Wendy smiled slightly. Nathan even knew Carl, and Carl was willing to help him. It was a bit out of her expectation.
Jason said seriously to James, âMr. Dawson, your people waste food, which should not be done.
Moreover, spitting in other peopleâs food is somewhat against morality! You started this, and you should resolve it. If the negotiation fails, I will deal with it!â
Nathan cast a glance at Jason and asked, âDidnât you just say your words are the law in Mimar City and you would put me into prison? Why did you change your mind?â
As soon as these words came out, Jasonâs back was covered with cold sweat.
Why did he mention it again?
âHahaha, I was kidding. We all abide by the cityâs and the countryâs laws!â Jason forced himself to calm down and said with a smile, âI will go. You guys can negotiate a solution.â
After saying this, he nodded to Carl, and then said, âMr. Hopp, I have a lot of work to do, so Iâll go first.
Please send my regards to your fatherâ¦â
Without waiting for Carl to respond, he led his men to leave in despair.
With Jasonâs withdrawal, Jamesâs and his people were put to shame.
When Jason was here, they were all arrogant and excited to see Nathan suffering. But Carlâs arrival turned the situation around in an instant.
âToday, if you donât eat all these things up and pay me 200 thousand dollars respectively, this matter will not be finished.â Nathan said seriously and decisively.
James gritted his teeth and said, âThis is not over!â
Nathan didnât say a word.
James turned around and left. He didnât want to care about this sh*t anymore.
âDidnât you hear Master Evanâs words?â Carl sneered and asked Judy and her gang.
Judy shuddered, seeing Nathan pick up another dish with saliva, she couldnât help screaming, âIâll eatâ¦
Iâll just eat it!â
The rest all got up and started to eat the dishes they spit on themselves. Although the food was disgusting, they had to close their eyes and force themselves to swallow. Then, they transferred the compensation to Nathan.
200 thousand dollars per person. If someone didnât have enough money in his account, he issued an IOU.
âIsnât it inappropriate to blackmail them like this?â Hannah asked guiltily.
âIâm just repaying them in the same way. You heard James. He wanted me to pay every one of them 200 thousand dollars.â Nathan said with a deadpan expression, without any psychological burden.
After collecting the money, he said, âCarl, half of the money is yours.â
Carl didnât expect he would say that, he just smiled and said, âI canât take it. If I take it, there will be big problems. What you did to my family is more precious than money.â
Seeing that he would not accept it, Nathan put the bank card in his pocket.
âLetâs have dinner together. Iâll introduce you to some friends.â Carl held Nathanâs hand and walked away.
