Chapter 1148
Julian’s Stand-In Wife
Julianâs Stand-In Wife chapter 1148-
Simon still wanted to claim Diana as his own.
He looked possessively-almost obsessively-at her. However, that look gradually gave way to clarity.
Diana didnât know what was going through Simonâs mind, and didnât notice his obsessed expression.
She smiled, and said, âPlease donât take it personally. Julian needs time, too.â
Simon nodded in understanding. âItâs good enough that you came out.â
âThank you for remembering the wall decorations,â Diana said smilingly, taking hold of the wheelchair handle.
The wheelchair shook slightly. She had to try pushing it a few times before it could budge. Pushing it along the road, she said, âWhy did you leave right after sending your blessings?â
She chuckled, and her next words shocked Simon. âDidnât we agree to celebrate the new year together? We have to at least have dinner together.â
Never had Simon expected Diana to describe him as someone who would give others his blessings. It impacted him so much, his hands started trembling.
He remained silent all the way as Diana continued pushing his wheelchair. Julian didnât even chase him out when Diana brought him into the villa. It all felt so unbelievable.
Simon grabbed the armrest tight as he stared at Julian.
Julian didnât tell Simon to leave. Instead, he said to Diana,â Come and wash your hands. Iâll call the twins.â
Julian turned to glance at Simon, who remained unmoved. He looked like he had bestowed a great favor upon Simon.
âDid you cripple your brain on top of your legs?â he sneered. â For you to willingly paralyze your own legs, your brain must be addled.â
He brought such misery upon himself, all for the sake of earning a womanâs pity. Julian didnât know if he should call Simon a fool in love.
Simon mocked him back. âTakes one to know one.â
In the past, when Julian took the knife for Diana, he probably didnât even consider whether he would survive the attack.
Julian was stunned for a moment.
Simon refused to go further inside.
Julian sneered again. âThe kitchen prepared too much food for dinner. Itâll go to the dogs if you donât eat it. Just come in.â
Diana returned from washing her hands, and heard what Julian said. She rolled her eyes at him immediately.
He obviously wanted to ask Simon to stay for dinner, and invited the latter voluntarily. Despite that, he had to say such nasty words to Simon.
She went to hit Julian, but he did not retaliate at all. Neither was he shocked-he acted as if he was used to such treatment.
He just turned around and called the twins.
Everything was happening out of Simonâs expectations.
He thought it was already good enough that Julian allowed Diana say a few words to him. That would already bring new hope for him in this new year.
But nowâ¦
Simon picked up the spoon, and looked at the Fulchers seated at the table in disbelief. He suddenly didnât understand what was going on.
âHaving dinner with you doesnât mean Iâve forgiven you,â Julian said. âDonât think too much.â
Although Simon wasnât all out wicked, he was definitely no saint.
âAnd if you dare to do anything against us again,â Julian warned, glaring at Simon during the meal, âTH throw you into a river full of crocodiles!â
Diana was flabbergasted to hear Julian talk about crocodiles when the twins were around, and during the new year eveâs dinner to boot.
Whatâs more, Simon wasnât a child. Julian sounded like he was trying to frighten a kid.
She kicked Julian under the table. âHurry up and eat.â
Julian relaxed his tense jaw, and began eating. Things soon quietened down around the table.
Betty even offered Simon some food. âUncle Simon, eat.â
Children tend to be forgetful, but Betty still remembered her days with Simon in Stirling Cit
