Chapter 150 - Fishing Competition (Part 1)
Top Sexy Girl Group
Everyone scattered. Wellâ¦everyone except meâ¦and one more person. That was Junho, but he was hiding behind me.
âGo, Sian!â
Seriously? Thatâs it? Ugh. Anyways, the giant rat was running at me with incredible speed. In response, I sent my foot flying towards its face.
Pow!
Squeak~!
Crash.
Thud.
The giant rat went down. Guess it wasnât so tough after all.
âWell, that was easy.â
âI knew you could do it!â Junho cheered, still standing behind me.
I walked up to the rat and looked down at it. It was still alive while its body was twitching as it continued to cry out.
âSqueak squeakâ¦squeak squeak squeakâ¦squeakâ¦squeakâ¦â
I actually understood. As Iâve said before, my best friend was one of the most skilled masters of my time. He could understand dogs and he taught me how to understand them as well. And with that came the ability to understand other animals. What the rat was saying was:
You fucking piece of trash! Youâre worse than cats!
But surprisingly, it wasnât finished.
âSqueakâ¦squeakâ¦squeak squeak squeakâ¦squeak squeakâ¦â
Which translated to:
I shouldâve cut your dick off when I had the chanceâ¦
Seems like the poor guy canât tell genders apart. As a woman, I donât have a dick. Anyways, considering all the rude stuff I just heard, I had no desire to save its life. So, I sent a kick flying towards its head. It flew back some ways before landing on the ground again. He was dead before it did.
Everyone else who ran began approaching it slowly.
âAre you guys okay?â Byung-hoon asked me and Junho. He looked worried as if heâd forgotten that he was the first one to ditch us earlier.
âWow! Who caught it?â he continued, looking down at the rat. I pointed at Junho, whose eyes widened in shock.
âYou caught it!â he hissed at me.
âJust say itâs you,â I whispered back. Junho finally nodded though he looked rather guilty.
âYes, it was me.â
âGood for you, Junho!â Byung-hoon said, looking at the man proudly. Like he was a teacher looking at a fine student.
âHow did you catch it?â he asked, staring at the rat again.
âI kicked it,â Junho answered. Byung-hoon then nodded.
âLooks like it. The head is all crushed on one side. How hard did you kick it?â
âHahahaâ¦â
Junho glanced at me. I shrugged.
âWell, looks like we have lunch! Great job, Junho!â Byung-hoon exclaimed. Everyone else cheered soon after.
Then, we went back to finding shelter.
âHey, Sian,â Junho said, standing next to me again.
âWhat now?ân/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
This was annoying. I wanted to talk to Miyeon, but I couldnât thanks to this guy.
âWhy are you letting people think I caught itâ¦.â
âItâs easier that way. Besides, I have my image to think about. Male fans wonât like it if I act too tough.â
To be honest, there was no point in trying to save my image now. My current image was stuck as far as the public was concerned. I canât say for sure that all the male fans have left me, but there were definitely a few. Not too much, but compared to the female fans, the men were almost nonexistent because I had so many female fans. Not that I mind thoughâ¦
âWell, I guess I canât argue with that.â
âYep.â
âDo you plan to catch a lion as well?â
âWhat?â
How in the world did he know that?
âSo you do.â
âHow did you know?â
âWait, seriously?â
âYes,â I admitted.
âThenâ¦take me with you.â
âWhat?â
He was sounding crazier by the minute.
âI want to go lion hunting too.â
Roar!
And just then, we heard a lionâs roar in the distance as everyone went rigid in shock.
âWhoa.â
âWasnât that a lion?â
âIs it close?â
Everyone stared to talk, looking worried.
âThereâs no need to worry,â the interpreter translated, but no one believed him.
âHey, Junho,â I said to him.
âYes, Sian?â
âAre you making fun of me right now?â I asked, sincerely curious. It was rather funny to think that heâd actually believe me when I say Iâm going to catch a lion. If he is making fun of me, I planned to make him pay for it.
âNo, Iâm not. Iâm dead serious,â Junho said sincerely. He added, âI believe you when you say youâll catch a lion. Plus, I really want to go with you.â
â....â
Whatâs up with him?
âFine, then. Iâll let you know when I go to catch one, but donât go changing your mind on me.â
âI wonât.â
âWeirdo,â I thought to myself.

âThis looks like a nice area,â Junho said, looking around. The area had big trees that casted shadows over a big clearing. A good place for a shelter.
âYou guys okay with that?â
âYes,â we all answered. If it was good enough for Byung-hoon, then it was good enough for the rest of us.
âLetâs build our shelter here then. But there arenât any warthogs around here, right?â Byung-hoon asked teasingly.
Oink oinkâ¦snort snortâ¦oinkâ¦
In the distance, we could hear the sounds of a warthog. We all looked in that direction and to our surprise, we saw a warthog waddling out.
âWhoa.â
âUmâ¦â
â....â
We all stared in shock.
The first thing we decided to build after that was a fence.
âWill this keep the warthog out?â
âIâm not sure,â Byung-hoon said, looking concerned. He built it himself, but even he didnât seem too sure about it. Just then, Lobster Head came over to us.
âAs Iâm sure youâve noticed, the warthogs around here donât attack people. Your fence is more than enough to keep it out.â
âIs that what the guide said?â Byung-hoon asked.
âYes,â Lobster head said.
âThen, it might attack us.â
Seems like Byung-hoon didnât believe anything the guide said anymore. So, we worked on strengthening our fence.
âNow for our shelter. But who should go find us some foodâ¦â
Byung-hoon looked at each of us before choosing.
âYou, you, and you.â
Junho, Minwoo, and me.
âActually, wait. Minwoo, you stay. Junho and Sian, go get us some food. Fruit, if you can.â
âYes, Sir,â Junho replied.
âOkay,â I said.
âWill it be safe?â Byung-hoon asked, still clearly thinking of the warthog.
âTheyâll have someone go with them, so donât worry,â Lobster Head cut in. Was he the assistant producer or our guide?
âThatâs good. You two, go ahead. Minwoo and Miyeon, you guys will build the shelter with me. Nothing too fancy. Just do as I say, okay?â
âOkay,â Minwoo and Miyeon answered, but I couldnât help but worry. Since Byung-hoon would also stay, I wasnât worried too much, but I just knew that Minwoo would try something with Miyeon.
âLetâs go, Sian,â Junho said. I nodded. But before I left, I turned back to stare at Minwoo. The pervert was sneaking glances at Miyeonâs buttâ¦not that I could blame him though.
âSian?â
âOh, right.â
I tore my eyes away from Miyeonâs curvaceous hips and followed after Junho. I almost hoped the warthog would appear again. Itâd be nice to have some again.

We walked for a long time, but we couldnât find fruit anywhere.
âThereâs nothing here.â
âYeah,â Junho said, looking around.
âHey Sian, letâs set up some snares.â
âSnares?â
âYeah. I heard thereâs some fire chicken in the area.â
âFire chicken?â
âYeah. The locals call them that because they look like little balls of fire.â
âThat sounds good.â
The name sure sounded appetizing. So, we set up a few snares here and there. Just then, my eyes fell on a tree covered in thorns.
âWhatâs this?â
âItâs an acacia tree.â
âAcacia tree?â
âItâs a sneaky little tree. When an animal tries to eat its leaves, it will actually react to make the leaves taste bad. Not only that, it will also warn other acacia trees nearby to warn them. Itâs rather clever.â
âWow.â
To think that a tree could do that.â
âYou know a lot.â
âI always do my research. I canât just let Byung-hoon do all the work,â Junho said with a modest shrug. Iâve always known Junho was a decent guy.
Just then, we heard the sound of water flowing. A river. There was a river nearby.
âI hear a river.â
âHuh? Where?â Junho said, looking around. âI donât see one.â
âFollow me,â I said. I headed East. I could definitely hear water running. It wasnât far.
After about ten minutes, we found the river.
âCool.â
âWow!â Junho gasped. âHow did you know this was here?â
âGot lucky, I guess,â I said with a smile. The river was rather small. Iâd say about 5 meters wide. It wasnât that big. But on the other side, I could see people on the other side. It was actually the other team. Upon seeing us, they waved.
âHi, guys~â
âHello,â we waved back. But how did they find this place? Guess they were experts after all.
âYou guys found the river!â Areum shouted. Even now, he sounded like he was making fun of us. Was that his thing? I turned to Lobster Head.
âDid you tell him to be like that?â
âNo,â Lobster Head replied. And in case you forgot, his name is Yeonmin. Yeonmin Yoo.
âHey, Junho~â Areum called out.
Junho looked at him, saying, âYes?â
âWant to have a fishing competition?â
âA fishing competition?â
âYeah~â
âI donât have a fishing rodâ¦â
âThen make one~ If you canât, you donât have to. I didnât expect you to anyway. Iâve never seen anyone on the show make one. Goes to show how much better we are,â Areum jeered.
Junhoâs face hardened. Lobster Head didnât look too happy himself.
So, I stepped up.
âFine,â I said. âLetâs do it.â
âYou sure, Sian?â Areum said. âDo you know how to fish?â
âNope.â
âWell, at least youâre confident,â Areum said with a smirk. I had to give it to him â he knows what the audience is looking for. Shows are always more fun when thereâs a bad guy. Anyways, he continued.
âLetâs make a bet.â
âWhat kind of bet?â I asked.
âLetâs have Mr. Yoo decide,â Areum said, pointing at Lobster Head. Lobster Head nodded.
âAlright, I will. Iâll let you guys know at dinner and you guys can carry it out then.â
âHave you already decided on a bet then?â I asked.
âYes,â Lobster Head replied.
Areum spoke up again.
âYouâre good. Alright. Weâll catch fish for an hour and the ones with the most after that wins. Okay?â
âFine,â I replied. Surprisingly, Junho didnât say anything.
âWhy arenât you saying anything?â
âWell, the thing is, Sianâ¦I donât know if I canâ¦â
âWhat does that matter? You mean youâre just going to take that from him? And not do anything?â
âWellâ¦.Iâ¦.â
âLetâs go fish.â
âOh, okayâ¦â
