Noelle did not know what to say to that. He seemed to have the ability to twist the truth intosomething that fit his narrative instead.

“Why do you keep thinking about such things?” Charles asked, a rueful look on his face. “Why is itso tiring when all I want to do is go shopping and watch a movie with my wife?”
