“Of course!” Samuel was delighted to hear his granddaughter willingly offering to introduce hisgrandson- in–law to him. He suddenly felt like there was nothing wrong with his health anymore,and he could not wait to be discharged from the hospital to meet Charles.

Noelle could tell Samuel was delighted, but it was not the right time yet. “Don’t get overexcited,Grandpa. You can meet him anytime. I could even get him to drop by the hospital tomorrow, but Iwanted your first meeting to feel a little more official!”

“Alright!” Samuel said as he patted Noelle’s hand. “But Noelle, about you and Charles gettingmarried… Your parents…”

“You’re the only one who knows!” Noelle said as she smiled. “I don’t feel like telling them, nor do Ifeel like letting too many people know that Charlie and I are getting married.”

Noelle had plans of her own. Her marriage to Charles only involved the two of them. It was no oneelse’s business.

Besides, if Julian and Jade were to learn that she had gotten married to Charles, they wouldprobably start buttering him up. That was not what Noelle wanted.

Samuel said understandingly, “That’s what I meant. It’s your life, so I don’t have much to say aboutit as long as you’re happy. But what does Charles‘ family think?”

“Don’t worry, Grandpa. Charles will introduce me to his family once we’re a bit more settled in,”Noelle said as she smiled. Her phone screen lit up and showed she was receiving a call fromsomeone whose number was saved as ‘My Home‘. A smile spread across her features. “Grandpa,I’m going to take this call!”

“Hello, Charlie!”

Charles had just ended a meeting and decided to call Noelle so he could check in on how she wasdoing. When he heard Noelle calling him by his name, the corners of his lips curved upward as hesaid pleasantly, “Say that again!”

Noelle was stunned. “Say what?” Then, she realized what Charles was talking about and blushedas she used a hand to cover her face. “No, I won’t!” Noelle bit down on her lip as she said, “Stop it.I’m still with my grandfather. He’s awake now!”
