Chapter 146 My Lilith Grey
She Approved the Split He Fell Apart
Scarlettâs POV Damian Vanderbilt cocks an eyebrow in obvious despise, nodding at me flirtatiously: âI admired your little speech, but you letting him put his hand on you so easily says more than your words.â
What a jerk! Whatâs his problem?!!!
I wanted to push Sebastian away, but I couldnât quite pin down who I hated more at this moment: an arrogant tricked pitiful prey of Avaâs who just fell into her trap, or an arrogant tricked pitiful prey who claims to be out of Avaâs trap.
âItâs none of your business!â I frown at Damian Vanderbilt as I throw away Sebastianâs hand. Itâs not wise to piss off two bigshots at the same time, but since Iâm already the enemy of the world, it doesnât really make that much of a difference, âIf one day you find yourself in a trap of a slut, itâs because you are a womanizer first!â
Damian Vanderbiltâs look turns cold visibly, his tone dangerous: âWho are you calling a slut?â
âWhoever turns out to be!â I snap at him.
âLittle girlââ Damian Vanderbilt narrows his eyes as he comes over, and Sebastian pulls me behind him. But before either of them could do anything, two hands stop both of them as a man cuts in between the two fluffed lionsâ
âWow, a fierce girl with a sharp mouth, huh? Still not worth fighting for, guys.â
I donât know the guy, but the two men seem to and they both take a step back, and talk at the same time:
âShe is,â Says Sebastian.
âYou have no idea,â Says Damian Vanderbilt, before he shoots a surprised glance at Sebastian, then he throws over a cold snort.
The kind of snort Adrian throws Sebastian when he takes Avaâs side.
Just great. Not only am I a mean girl now, itâs also because of Ava. If he canât remember peopleâs behavior, then he shouldnât be allowed to judge anyone for anything!
âMay I know the name of Miss. worth it?â The new guy comes over, holding out his hands for me to put my hand on. For a kiss?
A bit oldâschool.
âScarlett Fuller,â I take his hand for a handshake, âAnd you are?â
A shade of surprise flashes through his eyes at my handshake. He shakes my hand but then takes my fingers for a kiss: âOliver Scott, at your service, maâam.
Damian Vanderbilt rolls his eyes impatiently, and Sebastian pulls my wrist out of his grasp: âYou are talking to Mrs. Knight.â
This time Oliver Scott really IS surprised: âSorry, you were married? I thought you were with Ava?â
I frown, darting my eyes away, only to meet Damian Vanderbiltâs eyes. I thought he would taunt me with some mean lines like âYour husband has a name out there, just not with youâ. But he is not. He is glaring at Sebastián, with utter anger in his eyes.
âIâm sorry,â Sebastian turns to me with a guilty look, introducing, âThis is Oliver Scott. He starred in the drama show we produced last year.â
An actor. I nod. No wonder he knows Sebastian when I donât know him. I had little interest in pop works and the entertainment business. I like only the writing part.
âAlso the award winner this year,â Oliver grins at me, joking with Sebastian, âIntroduce me with my best title, will you?â
âYou need to make your title known to people before they can use it,â Sebastian says indifferently. I look between them two, confused. They know each other, and they even work together. But they donât seem to be good friends.
âWe are not friends,â Oliver winks at me, seeing through my confusion, âIâm signed with Dunn Entertainment.â
Ohhh, that explains a lot.
âEnough of your socializing?â Damian Vanderbilt suddenly cuts in impatiently, âYou better have a good reason for me to wait for you here,â
Oliver Scott shoots Damian Vanderbilt a surprised look before he bows at me and Sebastian: âExcuse me.â He walks over to Damian Vanderbilt, a taunting smirk on his face: âYes, I do. I saw your little pet, at a place you might find interesting.â
He has another âpetâ? He definitely deserves Ava!
I shoot a glare over at him, wishing I could close my ears. I walk over to Lucas, wanting to leave this horrible night behind.
âWhat pet?â Damian Vanderbilt frowns halfâmindedly.
âYour little tail?â Oliver Scott laughs with a shred of surprise, âYou know, the new girl? What was her name...Grey?â
My feet stop before my brain can process the information.
Itâs not Grey of MY Lilith Grey...right???
