Chapter 168 Interested In Killing
She Approved the Split He Fell Apart
Scarlettâs POV My only way out is blocked by Oliver Scott.
What do I do? Why does he seem to have a problem with me? I barely even know him. For Ava? If so, then does that mean he would look out for his real sister? But he wanted her dead! Besides, I canât even prove I AM his sister even if I want to!
âHey, itâs okay,â Oliver Scott suddenly says, âHe is here for a girl who played him, and thatâs why he came to my table. If you donât like it, Iâll ask him to leave.â
âTsk,â Damian Vanderbilt clicks his tongue, shooting a glare at his fric, âSeriously?â
I blink the tears that are almost pouring out back in. Really? He would be on my side?
âI want to leave,â I say quietly to Oliver Scott, staring into his eyes, my heart pumping fast in my chest. Oliver looks at me for several long seconds without too much of an expression, but then he stands up and makes way.
âI didnât know bullies scares so easily,â Damian Vanderbilt taunts. I turn around in worry, but he is not coming after me, âI mean, what you have been doing to Ava Fuller-â
is none of your business.â
Before I can even turn around, Sebastianâs hand lands on my arm, and his hot body presses into me. Feeling safe unreasonably, I let out a sigh and relaxed a little, and I hear his low, dominant voice by my ear: âLeave you alone for one second, and you are scared into a little kitten?â
He left me first!
But I know better than to fight with my ally in front of my enemy, but he left me first! I move sneakily and land my heel on his feet, adding force as I glare at him in silence. Sebastian purses his lips, kneading my shoulder lightly to ask for a truce.
Hmph!
âI thought you two were getting a divorce,â Damian Vanderbilt suddenly says, but his eyes are not on us, but on his friend, âis that just a rumor?â
âYes,â Sebastian answers firmly. He, too, stares at Oliver Scott.
Huh? Why is that about Oliver Scott in any way?
âMiss Ava was pretty determined to give her heart to you,â Oliver Scott laughs, settling into the sofa on Vanderbiltâs side, leaving the other side for me and Sebastian, âWould you like me to deliver her the sad news?â
Sebastian takes the seat first, separating me from Oliver Scott: âWhy? Are you a delivery man?â
Oliver Scottâs face turns dark. I dare not laugh, besides, he just helped me. So I just bury my face in Sebastianâs neck. And HE laughs! Rubbing his chin lightly against my face.
âYou left me!â I hiss at his ear at the chance.
âHmm,â He nods lightly.
He turns to bury his face in my neck instead, his lips almost touching my ear when he whispers: âI thought Scott was interested in you, not interested in killing you, so when I saw a girl that looked like Lilith, I went and I checked.â
I throw my fist into his chest at his taunt, only to freeze when I hear Lilithâs name.
Lilith? Here? Sheâs never into this kind of bar, petâ? Is Lilith the girl who â
I canât help but peek at Damian Vanderbilt. Is that why he is here? For hi played him, according to Oliver Scott? Or does he have another girl h ich is more likely? Do I dare to let him know that Lilith is here? I donât imagine a mafia boss likes his âpetâ at such a place if not with him Damian Vanderbilt smirks at me, when Oliver Scott looks sullen. Both reactions at Sebastianâs exaggerated way of marking out his territory. I didnât know he was the jealous type.
âIs she with another guy?â I ask, canât help my worried tone. How could she not be? She wouldnât come to such a club on her own, and she obviously didnât come with Vanderbilt.
âIt looked like she was working here, so I didnât go up for a talk,â Sebastian puts his arm around my waist, giving me a deep, tight hug for several long seconds before he is finally satisfied, âDo you want me to come with you?â
Of course Iâm going to see her.
âI can handle myself!â I squeeze my words through a smile, pinching him where people canât see. He gasps slightly and lets me go. I wasnât afraid of the club, but just the demon on this table, okay?!
âExcuse me,â I smile at the men, leaving for the bar.
Lilith told me her problem was solved, so whatâs it about this time?!
