"welcome back to love island usa." iain voiced over.

"how are you doing this morning." leah hugged val while they walked to the makeup room

to get ready

"um. i'm a lot better than i was before. just got a lot of thinking to do still." she hugged leah back.

val put on a white floral bikini for the day and put her hair in a back braid.

she then walked downstairs with serena, ready to take on the day. the two talked about their situations since they were so similar.

serena's situation was definitely worse, since they've been together since the beginning.

"it just sucks because he knew how deep in i was for him and obviously he doesn't fee-" serena stopped talking by the sight of miguel putting sierra for a chat.

"oh shit. val do not turn around but miguel just pulled sierra for their chat." serena shockingly said.

"oh my god, i wanna looked." val whispered.

"no don't." serena rapidly shook her head while val pretended to sneeze to look back at the two.

"oh shit!" val tried to yell quietly at serena.

"what do you think they're talking about?" val questioned serena.

"you bitch! duh." serena jokingly rolled her eyes.

"in a bad way?" val said disappointed.

"no! it's obvious he just told her that he wants you over her. that's why she just stormed off to those others girls" serena pointed at them.

"oh shit." val looked over at them.

miguel in beach hut:

"the sierra and miguel saga as now come to a close. i think she is an incredible woman. however, i knew that the way i was feeling was definitely a lot stronger towards val than it was towards sierra."

serena and val talked for awhile longer before sierra yelled. "i got a text!"

"islanders, it's time to see who is driving america crazy in todays challenge. #motormouth #backseatdriver."

"ah!" they all screamed.

val put on a red swim top and tutu for the challenge.

jaNa was up first. she read off her ticket. "honestly ___ rubs me the wrong way i want her out."

"sorry catherine." jaNa laughed while catherine walked over to get slimed. she then read her answer, it actually being nicole.

jaNa then read out her second ticket. she picked daniela and rob to walk over to the slime chair.

kendall and nicole went next. their card saying, "___ ask ___ to show you his handshake with __???" they picked aaron, kordell, and serena. the actual answer being kaylor, aaron, and daniela.

they read off their second ticket. "it's amazing to me how ___ uses his passive voice and a bit of eye contact and these girls think he's an onion waiting to be peeled. embarrassing!" they picked rob, which was the correct answer.

"up next is val." iain voiced over.

she fake drove the car while making silly faces. she read off her first card. "seeing ___ cry every two seconds is really pissing me off. can we just see this girl happy for once."

"i'm sorry kaylor." val laughed while she walked over to the slime chair. she picked the right answer. then she read out her second ticket.

"i can't stand ____. especially after seeing those tweets about how she was all in odell beckham jr's comments. she came to the villa with a plan and ____'s dumbass fell for it. throwing away all the morals he "claimed" he was gonna have before entering casa." val gasped after reading the tweet.

"are you fucking serious?" daia repeated.

"okay i think it is daia and kordell." val told them.  she got the answer correct.

liam went next. he read off his first ticket. "honestly ____ and ____ ate on the dock. ____ and ____  just sitting back and getting yelled at was so refreshing to see since they know damn well they were in the wrong."

"oh shit." val looked over at serena while laughing.

"umm. i think the answer is val and serena and miguel and kordell." the four walked over to her slimed. liam got the answer right before he read off his second ticket.

the rest of the couples and singles went before kenny and catherine went last. catherine read out their first ticket.

"____ is the only man in the villa i support. at least he's blatant about getting to know multiple women. he isn't putting up a fake front, like ___ and ___."

"we think it's miguel, aaron and rob." catherine told everybody. the three walked over to get slimed. their first two answers were right, besides rob.

"good job miguel." val mumbled while laughing. the four then got slimed before all of them cheered while walking back to the villa.

the girls all talked on the yellow couches when they got back, discussing the challenge.

"let's go babe." leah grabbed the girls hand to walk downstairs.

val talked with liam, leah, and rob for awhile until miguel walked over to her.

"can we go chat darling?" he asked her.

"sure let's go." she softly smiled before following him to the couch.

she was waiting for him to speak up. "go along." she told him.

"i just wanna let you know that i did cut things off with sierra earlier. but, i do want to know if you want this." miguel asked her.

"because i want to have this us, together still. i said it once and i'll say it again i am willing to wait for you, as long as you need. again, i'll admit my actions. i fucked up, i shouldn't have kissed her outside of the challenge. but i promise you, it happened the one time only. you can ask any guy here." miguel pointed over to the boys.

"i'm really happy that you are owning up to your actions unlike some of the other guys. so, thank you. the challenge was a bit of an eye opener to me just because it made me appreciate how straightforward you really have been throughout this whole thing." val explained.

"but it still feels wrong to forgive you super quick. so i am gonna need just a bit longer. i might have over reacted a bit before, but i'm kinda over that now and just need time to think how i really feel." she told miguel.

"i told you, take all the time you need." he softly smiled at her before the two got up to hug.

"i got a text!" kendall screamed which made the two pull apart and walk over to kendall.

"islanders, the hideaway is now open. please choose one couple to spend a private night together. #worththewait #donotdisturb."

"you tryna go or what." miguel jokingly dragged val by hand while sticking out his tongue.

"you wish." she laughed at him.

"kendall and nicole! kendall and nicole!" they all cheered for the couple.

all of the girls screamed and ran upstairs to get nicole ready for her night.

everybody else stood together while saluting and cheering for the two.

that night serena and val slept in soul ties. just needing each other there to talk to.
