val woke up with her head on miguel's chest. he was still asleep so she laid there until he finally woke up.

"good morning." he mumbled with his morning voice while playing with her hair. "good morning miggy." she giggled.

"how are you feeling." she asked him. "tired." he groaned.

"now he callin me nyquil." she sat up while sticking her tongue out which made him laugh.

"i'm kidding." she laughed, laying her head back on his chest.

"i'm really glad we had last night together, i feel like we get even closer every single day." he looked down at her.

"me too." she smiled up at him before leaning in.

"okay we gotta go see the other fools i guess." miguel groaned. val put on a cropped white tank top and pink sweat shorts before the two took one last picture in the mirror.

they walked out holding hands while everybody cheered for them. they were both smiling ear to ear. "it's that post hideaway glow!" nicole yelled.

"miguel, you look happy my boy." kordell walked over to him, dapping him up.

"aw guys she's all giddy still." daniela said which made the other girls cheer. all of the girls sat around the blue couch to hear about last night, while the boys went across the villa to listen to miguel.

val told the girls what happened in restaurant terms as they all cheered for her.

val in beach hut:

"the hideaway definitely allowed me and miguel to reach a new level of closeness. and damn, as kendall says, it was getting pretty nawstay. i'll leave it at that." she laughed while putting her hand up.

"aw, i'm so happy for you." serena and leah hugged her.

"thanks guys!" she smiled, feeling more loved than ever before.

after the girls and guys both had their own separate chats val and miguel went to go lay on one of the beach chairs together. she laid in between his legs, her back on his chest.

"i fucking love this. there you got couple, couple, couple, couple. then you just got serena waddling around." he laughed.

"not my girl serena!" val laughed while sitting up to look at him. they talked about random things while he rubbed her leg up and down.

val in beach hut:

"guys he just makes me feel like so at peace. i can't even explain it."

miguel leaned in and the two kissed for a minute. "okay, we need to stop before you make it hard to get up." he told her which made her laugh. then they heard kaylor's phone go off.

"islanders, it's time to get each other's hearts racing in tonight's challenge, hearts on fire. #fannyflutters #heartthrobs."

"i'm not tryin to do that." miguel looked over at her. "me either." she laughed.

"this challenge is about to get nawstay!" kendall yelled.

val put on a black skims dress, nude heels, and curled her hair. she did a bit more makeup than usual just for tonight.

daniela was crying about rob while all the girls tried to comfort her. "make him regret it babe." val winked at her.

"it's time for hearts on fire. the villa has been expertly decorated and the islanders are deciding what costumes to wear for the evening. it's like halloween but everyone's really horny." iain laughed.

all of the girls sat around the fire pit with their heart monitors on. val sat in between serena and leah it was the boys up first. the girls all chanted for the boys to come out. it was kenny up first.

he was dressed up as a football player. he danced in the front then went to each girl. "yeah kenny!" val yelled. lastly he went to jaNa before going up to the balcony.

"i need money! i wanna put it in his pants." leah yelled.

next up was rob. as much as rob pissed val off sometimes, she couldn't lie. he was one fine man.

when rob got to the fire pit he told all the girls, "careful ladies, there's a snake in my pants." val's jaw dropped, looking over to leah. leah looked back at her with wide eyes.

val in beach hut:

"i can't lie, rob was looking really sexy." she said in a funny voice.

he went to serena first, putting his cowboy hat on her while doing cowboy moves. then he went to val, dancing on her while he took her hand in moved it down his body.

he went to leah next. "you miss me?" he asked her while putting the bandana around the back of her neck, pulling her close. he went to the rest of the girls before tilting his cowboy hat down and walking away.

kordell then came out dressed as a nerd. when the girls saw him they all started cheering.

"i'm a problem solver and i'm here to solve all your problems." he spoke to the group with a lisp.

he immediately went to serena, picking her up and bringing her to the front. all of the girls cheered them on.

"class is in session!" he yelled before running away.

then harrison, aaron, liam, and kendall went until it was finally miguel's turn.

he walked in as a fighter. as he got closer he yelled. "whose ready for me to turn up the heat in this bitch!"

val immediately stood up. "me! me! me!" she raised her hand.

"i'm on fire, save me please!" all of the girls laughed at her funny comments.

he went to kaylor first, putting his hat on her and dancing on her. then he did a spin move on serena before going to val. he picked her up by the legs, bouncing her up and down with ease. the others were shocked.

val in beach hut:

"miguel did it better. sorry rob." she shrugged.

he put her back down and took fire on his hand from the fire pit then put his hand on her neck. he leaned into kiss her while the others around them cheered.

after they finished he went to the front and bowed while all the girls cheered for him.

val wore a ninja costume. she had to go last. while she was walking out all of the guys and girls were cheering for her.

"show me your moves!" she heard miguel yell.

when she arrived at the fire pit she told all the boys, "i know lots of tricks." she winked which made the them go crazy.

she started at kenny and made her way down the couch, doing a dance for each guy. until she finally got to miguel. she pulled him up by the suspender, which left him flustered.

she took him to the front of the fire pit. "lay down." she told him. he automatically laid down, her getting on top of him to kiss him.

val pulled away first, "bye now!" she told all of them while strutting upstairs.

"was that good?" she ran to the girls.

"val you killed it!" they told her.

"i was literally shaki-" she got cut off by music playing. all of the girls started freaking out, knowing it was a bombshell.

"kassy!" they all cheered for her. she went to each guy, going all out. she finally finished before everybody saw maura walk in.

"hi islanders! hi girls, come and join me at the fire pit!" she told them.

all of the girls sat down, everybody eager to hear the results.

she started with rob. "rob your heart was raised the most by, leah." val's jaw dropped while looking over to miguel from across the couch.

"still has the hots for me." miguel mimicked leah. they revealed the rest of the results.

miguel's heart rate raised the most for val.

then it was the girls turn. val's heart rate was raised the most by miguel, so was daniela's. kaylor's was raised the most by aaron. serena, leah, sierra, and nicole's heart rate was all raised by kordell. and jaNa's heart rate was raised the most by kenny.

the boys won the challenge, which left the girls annoyed.

"now, i have so more news for you. america has been voting for their favorite couple. can you all

please sit next to your partners." maura told them.

val sat down to miguel before they all had to stand up. "now i'm going to reveal the top five couples that are safe."

"the first couple safe is, jaNa and kenny."

"the second couple safe is, kendall and nicole."

"the third couple safe is, valentina and miguel." the two kissed before sitting back down, relieved.

"the fourth couple safe is, serena and kordell."

"the last and final couple safe is, leah and liam."

"will the couples that are still standing please come and join me." maura said.

"sierra and harrison, kaylor and aaron, daniela and rob. you were given the least amount of votes and therefore are at risk. however, the safe islanders have a very important decision to make." maura looked at them which made val groan.

"islanders, as a group you can save one couple that you think is the most compatible."

"oh my fucking gosh." she looked over at miguel, shocked.
