Chapter 12

Sabrina brought Layla and me into the mall. Michelle is not with us because she had some

important things to do. There are many people lingering around the place. I'm not comfortable

around these people. I always reminded myself that these people are humans and I can't harm

them. My blood thirst is worse here. But Sabrina planned this for me to control my thirst, which was

so difficult.

I am trying so damn hard not to jump into the human's neck. It was tempting, especially that I can

see through their blood all around their bodies like a scanner. I can hear people's heartbeats loudly

and it was so tempting.

"Hey! Sabrina!"

My attention diverted to a woman who was walking towards Sabrina with excitement. The woman

was wearing an off-shoulder floral dress. Her long wavy blonde hair was cascading down her back.

Behind her is a little blonde boy, around 6 years old. The woman is also a witch. But the boy has a

different aura. A wizard?

"Allial" Sabrina happily greeted the woman with a hug. "I miss you! Where have you been these past

few months?" Sabrina asked after releasing the hugs.

The woman named Allia sighed and took a long breath. "I miss you too, Sab. Something happened

to the clan, and they need my presence. And I have to bring Luke with me," she said sadly and then

looked at the little boy. Sabrina smiled at the little boy and ruffled his hair, which made him pout.

But the boy was staring at me cautiously. "You aren't human, are you?" the little boy asked in a low

tone.

I smiled and nodded. "Cool!" He then walked closer to me and held my hand. "I like you.” my eyes

widened at his words.

Allia and Sabrina laughed. I looked at Layla and she looked amused.

"Who are they, Sabrina?” the woman asked while eyeing me intently.

"Oh, this is Layla and Andrea." Sabrina introduced us. "And girls, this is Allia. She's also a witch. And

that little boy is Luke.” Sabrina said. I smiled at Allia.

But Allia suddenly froze while staring at me. "You're a hybrid?" she said in astonishment. She can

identify?

I looked at Sabrina, and she nodded. "Allia, we can talk about it at my house. Bring Clinton too."

Allia nodded and gulped.

"Wow, I have never encountered a hybrid like you before. I can say you are powerful even though

you are trying to suppress your aura.” I look at her in surprise. This woman was something else. I

saw Allia's eyes sparkled like she was thinking something that excites her.

I just smiled at her awkwardly. Sabrina sensed my awkwardness and changed the subject. "Anyway,

Allia, since you are back in the city. Why not have dinner with us at my house?"

"Oh, I would love that, Sabrina.” I feel relieved. I can't wait to go home. Someone poked my wrists,

and I looked to my right. It was Luke.

"What's a hybrid mean?" he asked curiously. I smiled.

"It's, hmm, a mixed type. I will tell you later in Sabrina's house, okay?" I said, and he nodded, smiling.

"He's so cute," Layla said while smiling. I agree. The little boy is just so cute and I couldn't help

myself but pinched those chubby cheeks. Luke giggled.

But I feel weird every time Luke touches me. Something inside me was contemplated. I even saw

Luke's future and I must say it's not good because I am in it. I decided to keep it to myself.

We've been roaming around the mall for almost two hours, with Sabrina going into different stores.

She's buying everything she likes. She even bought us some clothes and shoes which I'm so glad

about because ours was full of stains. When Sabrina saw our stained clothes, she threw them away

and replaced a decent one that Layla and I wore today. I just wore blue jeans shorts and a white

shirt, while Layla wore black skinny jeans and a black shirt.

"Sab, I think we should go. Luke already fell asleep and we'll go to your house later.” Allia said.

"Of course, Alli. Ask Clinton to bring the books." Sabrina said.

"I will. Bye, everyone.”

"Bye."

Allia walked out of the store with Luke in her arms. I look at Sabrina. "Can we rest? I'm so tired." I

said while pouting. Sabrina chuckled.

I still feel weird. It started when Luke held my hand.

"Okay, let's go find a place to eat.” She said, and my eyes sparkled.

"Yay! Let's go then!" I said excitedly. Layla and Sabrina laughed

Suddenly, I stopped. I closed my eyes when my vision turned red. My body trembles a little and I

stop myself from growling. My vampire side was dominating my system. All I saw was red.

Val, what was happening?

But I have no response from Val, which is strange.

"Alex? Are you okay?" Layla asked worriedly.

"My vision became red and my body was shaking,” I answered while my eyes were still closed.

"Oh, no. You need blood." Sabrina uttered in panic. I just shook my head no because I am not that

thirsty for blood.

Xandra, Willow, are you there?

“Alex, freeze time and get out of here fast or else these humans will be in danger!

How can I freeze the time, Willow?

“Breathe and concentrate.’

Okay.

I took a long breath and uttered. "Sabrina, Layla, I will freeze time and I'll run out of here because

any seconds from now, I'll be out of control of my body." they nodded at me worriedly.

Then, I concentrated and froze time. When I opened my eyes, the surroundings stopped. Only

Sabrina didn't freeze. Then she nodded at me. I quickly trotted away and ran as fast as I could out of

the mall. In just a flash of seconds, I found myself in the woods. I could hardly breathe and my body

ached excruciatingly. My insides were burning again like fire. Something in me wanted to come out.

Val! Xandra! Willow! What was happening to me?!

I screamed when my veins hurt so badly. But I didn’t hear the three voices of my spirits. Where are

they when I need them? I cried out because of pain while I curled up into a ball.

I feel like my eyes change color and are glowing more brightly than before. Then I saw images. A

horrible image.

I gasped after the images vanished like a wind. What was that?

I kneeled on the ground when my chest hurt. I clenched my fist and was struggling to breathe. To

ease the pain, I clutched my chest tightly, but the pain got worse. Whatever is inside me, I will try to

control it. Then tears streamed down my face. The intense pain made me weak, but I didn't give up.

I wanted to fight this beast inside me. Ugh

I felt myself turning into my wolf form. I was a large golden-white wolf. My fur was also glowing

more brightly. I growled when my bones cracked up. My claws scratch the ground with force when

the pain gets more intense and unbearable.

Xandra!

Xandra!

I'm here, Alex. Uggh.’

What happens to us?

“I don't know, Alex." she said in pain.

Where's Val and Willow? Why can't I feel them?

“They were also in pain. I mean, we are all in pain. Ugh, but they can't talk because they are far more

affected than me.’

I growled again loudly and panting heavily. But I notice myself levitate while glowing with a green

and blue aura, and then I have transformed back into my human form again. However, I couldn't

feel my three spirits.

I looked at my aching bare body and my complexion became more too white. The pain suddenly

subsided, and I was still breathing heavily. I stood up, and I saw my clothes on the ground, all torn. I

sighed.

I looked at the surroundings and good thing no one was around. But I feel strange towards my

body, I felt like something has changed in me. I looked at my hands and almost freaked out to see

small electricity in my hands. It stunned me and stared at it in disbelief. When I closed my palms, the

electricity vanished. Strange.

My vision turned golden white, and I saw something.

Azrael?

I froze. I saw Azrael's body lying on the ground naked, not far from where I was. He was in pain like

me. What happens to him? Since I am naked, I transformed back into my wolf form and ran fast

towards Azrael. I can still sense his strong scent. And in just a minute, I was already in front of an

unconscious, naked body of Azrael.

Using my paws, I shake his body to wake him up. I can hear his heartbeat so I know he's alive, but

what happened to him?

“He's also in pain because of us, Alex.’ Xandra suddenly said.

What? Why?

“Because he's still our mate. You didn't accept his rejection, am I right? So, he can also feel our pain.’

I sighed. I looked at Azrael's face and froze. He groaned and slowly flickered his eyes open. His gaze

met mine, and he stood up abruptly in surprise.

He stares at me with wide eyes, but I spun my back from him when I saw his naked body. If I am not

in my wolf form, I guess, I would be so red from embarrassment. Xandra and the others screamed

inside my head because of what we saw. I want to hide from embarrassment

"W-Who are you?" he asked, but I didn't face him.

I heard his bones cracking and I know he transformed into his full wolf form. That's when I faced

him. He looked at me intently.

“You're my mate!" he said through a mind-link.

I snorted. "Not anymore because you rejected me.’ I answered in contempt.

He looked stunned and stopped dead in his tracks. “What?'

'Oh, you rejected me as your mate, remember?’ I said.

“Alexandria! You're alive!" he said with excitement. I couldn't help but doubt his reaction. I step

backward when he steps forward

“Alexandria, I'm so sorry. I was wrong and I regret what I said. I'm taking back my words. I need you,

Alexandria.’ he said.

'Ilt's too late, Azrael. I hate you so much.’ I said coldly.

He stopped walking towards me, and pain flashed through his eyes. “Please give me another

chance.’

“Alex, he's still our mate because you didn't accept his rejection, and him as well.’ Xandra said.

But, Xandra, he hurt us.

"Yes, Alex, but we need him in the future.’

I don't know.

“We need him, Alex. You will be stronger if you two will be together.’ Val said.

I will not accept him in my life, Val. I despise him.

“Alex... But at least, be with him? Try to give him a chance to prove himself that he regretted what he

said back then." Val insisted.

Fine. But I don't trust him.

“He will help us control the pain, Alex.” Willow said.

Really? How? What if he freaks out when he finds out who I am?

“He won't." my three spirits uttered in unison.

I sighed and groaned helplessly.

“Alexandria, please give me another chance. I promise I will not leave your side. I'll do everything

you'll ask for. Just stay by my side. I've been in pain without you, Alexandria. I feel like dying. I was

looking for you everywhere but couldn't find you. I'm so glad to see you." he said, his voice filled

with regret.

I frowned. “I don’t want to be with you, Azrael. Because I am not an ordinary werewolf. I am

someone more than meets the eye. It's better you stay away from me for your safety.’ I said and

turned my back to him and walked away.

He grumbled. And the last thing I know, he tackled me to the ground. I groaned and wiggled to

break free, but his strong grasp prevented me from moving. Our gaze met and my heart nearly

leaped out of my chest.

'I know you are different because you are glowing right now. I don't care. I just wanted you as my

mate, and my Luna, Alexandria." he said.

I frowned and stopped wiggling. I will not fall from his lies again. With all my force, I pushed him

away. It startled him. I stare at him coldly. "You should earn my trust first and I am not your Luna

yet." I resigned because he looked sincere.

“Thank you, Alexandria. Can I come with you?" he said happily.

I sighed. “Okay. But from now on, you'll do what I say.’

“Sure.’ he agreed.

How will I explain this to Sabrina and Layla? Ugh.
