Chapter 51

Layla's POV

What is happening to me? I feel so strange. Why am I overflowing with magic? I called my wolf Ada,

but she didn't respond. I don't know; I think there's something inside me. This eerily feeling is

making me nervous. It's like something is controlling me. I trembled in fear because all I see is white.

Where am 1?

"H-Hello?" I called out, hoping someone would hear me, but my cracked voice just echoed. I

breathe heavily and count from one to ten. This is just a dream. I have to get out of here.

When I stepped forward, the surrounding changed. Huh? I saw a girl running while smiling. "Hey!" I

called many times, but she didn't hear me at all, so I ran to follow the girl. I stopped dead in my

tracks when I saw Alex. But her appearance is different, especially her hair color. Alex smiled and

waved her hands to the girl I followed. The girl's back was facing me and I still didn't see the girl's

face.

"Alice!" my forehead creased. The girl called Alex, Alice? What's going on? The girl's voice is familiar,

though.

I walked towards them and looked at the girl's face. Shocked was written all over my face upon

seeing the girl's face. I—It's me? "Where did you go, Elaine?" Alex said while pouting. Elaine? Alice? I

don't understand this. Who are they? Why do they look like me and Alex? This is crazy.

Elaine giggled and rested her head on Alice's shoulder, then snapped her fingers. A white flower

appeared in her hand and gave it to Alice while smiling widely. "You got this? Thank you!" Alice said

while smelling the flowers and smiled back at Elaine.

Alice and Elaine suddenly disappeared and in just a blink of my eyes, the surroundings changed. I'm

in a dark wide hallway and I saw Elaine hiding in a corner while peeking at something. I heard faint

voices, so I took a closer look. My jaw dropped while looking at five people who looked alike Alex.

Alice is one of them who also had the same color as Alex's eyes.

"Val, we need to tell Elaine. I don't want her to hate me without saying goodbye." Alice said. Huh?

"And then what, Alice? Can she do anything about it? You know her damn well, she will do

everything to stop the councils, or worse, she'll be punished too.” The girl with red eyes and fangs

said. My eyes widened. It's Vall Wow, I couldn't believe that I could see Val's appearance.

"I don't want to keep secrets from Elaine, Val. Cyn already hates us and I can't afford Elaine to hate

us too.” Alice cried and Val hugged her.

"Elaine will understand.” a girl with green eyes spoke. Is she, Willow? I smiled widely and looked at

all of them intently. They are all Alex's spirits and does this mean Alice is Alex? Huh? I felt like déja

vu.

Suddenly, my head hurts so bad and I couldn't help but cry and groaned in pain while holding my

head. Vivid images flashing in my head nonstop. My tears rolled down my face continuously when a

realization hit me. These are my memories—my erased memories because I asked the moon

goddess, Selene, to reincarnate me just to follow Alice. In exchange, she will erase my memories.

Alexandria's POV

Just when I'm about to attack Cyn, I felt a strong aura coming from the fourth mountain. Then a

huge figure appeared, and it released a strong power, I'm surprised when something exploded in

the fourth mountain. The sound wave is coming from a metal exploding together. The giant demon

looked in our direction and our gaze met. He looked at me deadly, ready to eat me alive.

Then I also felt a strong aura, I looked down and my jaw dropped. Layla? What happened? That aura

is coming from the white diamond. Layla is inside a transparent cube, unconscious while covered

with light. I sighed in relief because I know she's safe, but a change is coming when she will wake

up. I think it's time for her to remember who she is. And I'm ready to tell her what happened three

decades ago.

"Callie..." Cyn murmured unbelievably while looking down below. I followed where he was looking,

and it's Lucia, who was fighting a group of huge beasts skillfully. "Is it you, Callie?" he whispered

shakily. I released a deep sigh and looked back at the giant demon who was now walking in our

direction, never tearing his gaze away from me.

"CHOSEN ONE, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU! BWAHAHAHAHA," the giant demon said loudly towards

my direction. Damn, he is the King of the Demon Kingdom. He is stronger than Cyn, but his combat

skills are no match to Cyn.

I averted my gaze to Cyn and said, "Cyn, it's time I'll tell you the truth.” he looked at me. "What

truth?!" he said with a deep voice. I looked at him intently.

"The girl you are staring at, her name is Lucia. Callie's reincarnation.” I said, and he gasped, then

stared back at Lucia.

"What?!" he uttered, and his eyes darkened. He's releasing negative energy around him. Damn, he's

about to lose control. "That's not true. The council sealed Callie in the Punishment Room! She was

imprisoned there for a lifetime!" he said while growling in anger.

"No, Cyn. My sisters and I save her from that cruel punishment. Why do you think we're being

punished?” I said. He looked at me with confusion visible in his eyes. He never said anything, so I

continued, "Three decades ago, my sisters and I used the diamonds to free Callie. We successfully

get her out, but we have to send her away to the mortal world. We were afraid of being caught at

that time so the fastest way to get her out there is to reincarnate her.” he growled.

"But the councils found out what we did after 12 years and punished us. Also, we lost the diamonds

when we reincarnated Callie, so that makes our sin doubled.” I said while reminiscing the scene in

my head.

"That's why you're being punished?" he asked, and I nodded. Well, what's happening right now is

also our mistakes. As a punishment, we have to bring back the peace and unity of all races. But

we're not sure how to do it.

"Yes. And Cyn, she doesn't remember her past life." I said. "But why did you join forces with

Invictus?" I added while staring straight at his eyes. He growled again.

"To kill all of you, Alice. Because you are the reason Callie was being punished,” he said with full of

venom in his deep sultry voice.

My forehead creased in confusion. "Cyn, what are you talking about?” I asked.

"Do you think I didn't know you are the one who freed Invictus from the seal? You plotted

everything to dispose Callie, so you pretend to be her," he said furiously.

I shook my head, "It's not me or any of my sisters. It was Margaret, Invictus’ daughter. She hated us

and wanted to take revenge for his father. So she used us and plotted everything perfectly.”

"Margaret," he uttered. I heaved a deep breath, "Margaret is in love with you and she couldn't

accept that you loved Callie.” I said.

His eyes darkened more and smoke was coming out of his nose in anger. "This is all my fault!" he

said in regrets while looking at Lucia. He shone brightly, and I waited for the light to vanish. I smiled

as I saw Cyn's true form and like Lucia, the diamond is buried in his forehead. He was crying with full

of remorse. "If I wasn't blinded by my anger, I wouldn't choose the wrong path. If I just listened to

your explanation before, I would've stayed by her side. Am I too late?" he bowed his head while his

shoulder shook. I went near him and hugged him tightly. He sobbed and hugged me back.

"I'm sorry, Alice. I'm so sorry..." tears rolling down on my face while reminiscing our memories. "Shh,

it's okay, Cyn. It's my fault too because we trusted Margaret.”

I was quickly released from the hug when I saw one of my dragons dropped to the ground with a

loud thud. The giant demon laughed wickedly and punched the other dragon, then it flew away. I

looked back at Cyn, and said, "You are not my enemy anymore, right?" I asked. He nodded.

"Yes, Ali—" Cyn suddenly stopped talking and a dark aura covered him while his head was down. I'm

about to touch him when he looked at me blankly. Before I knew it, I was slammed into the ground,

hard. I groaned because I wasn't expecting it. Cyn laughed evilly and formed a dark ball in his hand

while looking at me dangerously. He was being controlled. What happened to him? I'm sorry, Cyn,

but I have to fight you.

“Alex, he was possessed with dark magic." the girls said.

I know. As long as the diamond is on his forehead, we can still save him from the dark spirit.

I quickly teleported at Cyn's back when he threw the dark ball towards me. The dark ball exploded,

and I kicked him with strong force, causing him to slam on the snowy ground. I immediately dodge

his counter attack using my scythe and it exploded in the air.

"I'm sorry, Cyn, but I have to do this," I whispered and closed my eyes while chanting a spell. When I

opened my eyes, a huge dark ball with lightning striking towards me. I smirked and teleported to

his back, then kicked him with full force. He flew away, but before he dropped to the ground, I flew

towards him swiftly while casting a spell.

"Magic Cube!" I cast while pointing my hand to him, and now Cyn is inside the cube. He couldn't

get out of the cube so easily unless I canceled the spell. He growled and tried to break the magic

cube, but he was trapped inside. I sighed in relief.

"Stay there, Cyn. I will find a way to remove the dark spirit from your body." I said and swayed my

scythe at my back when a beast tried to attack me. The beast was cut into pieces. My eyes turned to

black and killed every beast I saw. No, this is wrong. Killing is wrong. I stopped dead in my tracks

while looking at everyone fighting for their dear life. This chaos was all because of me.

“Alex! Get on your senses or else the beast will kill us!" Demonise yelled.

'I don't want to kill anymore. All of them are just obeying orders from Invictus. It's against their will. I

heard them all. I know you also heard their cries and agony. They don't want to die.’ I said and tears

streamed down my face. I will end this war no matter what. The grim reapers are everywhere, taking

every soul that died. I clenched my fist tightly.

Moonlight warriors sacrifice themselves for everyone, for me. This war was caused by our mistakes.

Their life was wasted because of me. Truthfully, I can make everyone vanish into thin air with the use

of my light magic. But I don't want to use it. I don't want everyone to die because of my dangerous

power. Because they are innocent in this war. This fight should be between me and Invictus. He

manipulated the four Kings using Lucian, who had eaten with his anger because of losing his family,

and Invictus took advantage of the situation just to get me. To take my sisters and me's infinite

power, to defeat the Gods and Goddesses and take over the magic realm.

I saw the King and Queen with the other warriors approaching and started fighting the beasts. Our

enemies are already running towards us, screaming while aiming their weapons. I closed my eyes

and clenched my fist tightly. I don't want to kill the innocent one; I think I have no choice but to

fight them.

Layla was still inside the transparent cube, and any moment from now she will wake up. Beasts are

attacking Layla, but their attacks are just thrown back at them. So they leave Layla alone and attack

other warriors.

“Alex, are you okay? Azrael said using telepathy.

'I'm fine. Be careful, Azrael." I said back while looking at him. He hummed and breathed heavily while

attacking the enemies. And I was surprised when all the werewolves from Stephen's groups started

attacking their allies. What's going on?

“Azrael? Why did all werewolves take our side?" I asked while dodging the attack of a witch.

'Ilt's the plan Stephen, and I discussed secretly.” he said. I hummed. So Stephen chose our side? No,

he chose Layla.

“Great choice, Stephen,’ I said using mind link.

'Alex?' he replied reluctantly.

“Stephen, please protect Layla." I said.

'You don't have to ask me, Alex, because I will do everything to protect Layla." he said, determined.

I didn't reply and flew towards the giant demon. The giant demon stared at me incredulously. He

was surprised to see the color of my eyes, which is silvery red

"So it's true. You got the blessing of the Almighty God," he said in a deep voice. I smirked while

playing with my scythe, eyeing him intently.

He is Warrick, the King of the Demon Kingdom, who was blessed directly by the Demon God and

undefeated for centuries. He had killed and slave humans while taking advantage of their

weaknesses. This demon should be punished.

Then, King Desmond and Vladimir—the fake King of the witches, joined the giant demon. I smirked

as I read King Desmond's and Vladimir's mind. Vladimir said, “Tsk. This girl is weak."

"Don't underestimate me, Vladimir," I said but didn't look at him and he was dumbfounded.

"You can read my mind? Impossible,” he said while narrowing his eyes.

"It's not impossible. I can read your mind anytime I want.” I said. He clenched his jaw and silently

attacked me using his dark magic, but I quickly dodge it using my scythe.

King Desmond never uttered anything. He's just looking at me intently. I grinned because I know

what's running on his mind. I averted my gaze to King Warrick and said, "Why do you want to kill

me?"

"Because you are a threat to our race!" he said venomously and began attacking me. I swiftly

avoided his attacks and now he was too furious. I guess it's three versus one.

I smirked and said, "No. You see me as a threat to you because I am more powerful than you. To

defeat my parents and me, you formed a rebellion and manipulated them to go against my parents.

Because of your hunger for power, a lot of warriors died.” He looked at me deadly and screamed

while letting out his strong aura. As I expected, King Desmond went beside me. His comrades

looked at him unbelievably, especially Vladimir.

"You're a traitor, Desmond!" Vladimir let out angrily and attacked us, but King Desmond dodge it

easily. Then I saw all the vampires go against their allies. Because of that, we outnumbered our

enemies.

"Desmond!" Someone yelled angrily, and I saw the King and Queen coming towards our way. "Leia,

Alexander..." King Desmond uttered calmly. Whilst, mama and papa looked at him dangerously. Old

friend and enemies reunited again in the middle of the war after 18 years.
