Chapter 96

Rejected By My Mate

After a long walk, Alice and Ashley arrived in the village of elves. Colorful houses with thorn-like

roofs beautifully lined up and the wide stone path road was filled with busy elves and some dwarves

—buying something from the stores all across the busy streets. Some were chilling while drinking

liquor—talking and laughing with each other.

The elves notice the arrival of the two women, looking elegant with their design of clothing, and

Alice's beauty mesmerizes them. While looking at Alice, they felt a look of familiarity with her as

though they had seen her somewhere but couldn’t remember. Some folks knew Ashley and greeted

her with enthusiasm because they had not seen her for months. Some fruit vendors even ask her if

she brought magical fruits with her, but sadly, Ashley didn't.

Alice was busy looking at the passersby, especially at the children, while hoping to see her twins, but

found none. She sighed while feeling dejected. While walking, she didn't notice that she stepped

into a small alleyway and went a little farther from Ashley, who was talking to some elves.

A young elf maiden named Greya noticed Alice and stopped walking with eyes widened in shock

and her lips slightly trembling while at a loss for words. She was obsessed with the great sextuplets

ever since she saw them in the war and with just one glance at the gorgeous long silvery blue hair

and two distinct eyes; she knew the woman in front of her was the missing goddess. Her mouth is

open but can't find her voice because of the shock. She cleared her throat while trying to find her

voice.

While doing so, it caught Alice's attention, and quickly smiled at the adorable young elf maiden.

Greya almost fainted and finally, she found her voice and squeaked with excitement, then bowed

her head with the utmost respect. “Goddess Alice! It's you! Ahh! You're back!!!"

Alice smiled and nodded. “You recognized me?” she said.

"Of course, my lady! Your greatness was known in all lands and your statue was built in every church

when you went missing for years. The other gods might harbor great jealousy upon you because

the entire magic realm only worships you as the mighty goddess who saves the world. And I am

your biggest follower!” Greya blabbered energetically, which Alice finds amusing.

However, Alice was speechless upon knowing that they built her a statue and even worshiped her.

She doesn’t know what to feel and think. Before, only the lizardmen of the Zardonian Tribe built her

a statue and worshiped her, but now her followers grow bigger. That news lightened up her mood

and smiled.

“That's so good to know. But isn't it biased that I was the only one who you worship? How about my

good sisters?” she said.

"Oh! I forgot to tell you that all kingdoms join to build a temple for all of you which is named, The

Great Sextuplets Temple, with all your statues standing one another! It's the biggest temple in all

lands and the most visited. It's actually built in the Central Kingdom. Oh wait, you didn’t know?”

Greya said and furrowed her eyebrows together when she realized something.

Standing just 3 meters away from Alice and the twins, Ashley was sobbing, too. She felt so happy

that the twins finally embraced their mother after so long of waiting and watching with walls of the

cocoons separating them. It's a sight to behold. Her effort at helping the twins while waiting for this

moment was all worth it. However, when she saw five faces who look like Alice very much except the

hair and eye color, it shocked her to the core that stop her tears abruptly and her eyes widened

while looking at them all, mesmerisingly. But seeing the sisters crying and hugging each other like

giving each other's strength and support they needed touched her heart. Her tears poured down

her face again.

Meanwhile, everyone who witnessed the scene unfolds before their eyes have tears streaming down

their faces. The scene was heartbreaking, and it touched everyone's heart. They felt the pain,

sadness, despair, longingness, love, and above all else, happiness that reached their soul. It was at

that moment the entire village also felt all kinds of emotions that Alice felt like they were under a

spell.

Without noticing it, Alice subconsciously lets the power of her uncontrollable emotion travel freely

into the wind and it envelops the entire village. Then it continued traveling into the neighboring

village until it reached the other lands. In just a matter of time, the entire magic realm was also

under the spell of the goddess's insurmountable chaotic feelings. The sudden changes in the

environment sent goosebumps to everyone and couldn’t help but get out of their home while

feeling all sorts of emotions that they knew weren't theirs. They looked up at the sky and felt the

changing flow of the wind.

Since they don't know what was happening at that moment, they could only wonder and make

guesses about what was going on in the world, though it didn’t cause them harm because it

suddenly went away after some time. The emotion they felt was so real, they almost believed it was

really theirs. It was a mystery that happened so abruptly. Words about what happened traveled so

fast in the entire magic realm and a lot of speculation was spreading like wildfire, but some

questions remained unanswered.

When Alice felt the assurance she sought from the twins, she felt a little better and now looked

admiringly at the twins’ faces. That reaction from her breaks the spell that envelops the entire magic

realm, and she just noticed what happened.

A warm, gentle but tender smile spread across Alice's lips while caressing the twins’ faces, who also

smiled at her admiringly. The twins’ cuteness squeezed her heart like a jelly. The twins’ giggles

resonated when she showered them with kisses. Because of that, the gloomy air changed into a bit

of a lively atmosphere. Everyone couldn't help but also smile.

When Alice and the twins noticed the crowds surrounding them, their mouths hung in awe. They're

actually in the middle of the road and their reunion gained everyone's attention. However, when

Alice looked up slightly, five pairs of familiar eyes that were now swollen from crying pierce through

her soul and she sucked a deep breath. Instantly, her tears poured down her face when she saw

them still hugging each other for support. She slowly stood up with the twins while being emotional

again.

“Mother, go. They're waiting...” Yzzabelle said with a smile and slightly pushed Alice. Ezzekiel

squeezed Alice's hand, and that gave Alice the push she needed. Her feet slowly walked towards her

crying sisters, who also half-run to meet her halfway.

At long last, the great sextuplets are finally complete again. They hug each other with Alice in the

center while the five sisters squeeze the life out of her and sob harder as they call out in unison,

“Alicel... Alice!...” They missed her so much that they wanted to just stay there with each other's

embrace, not caring about the surroundings

Alice smiles while also sobbing. “I'm home now, my dearest sisters...” she said with a crack voice and

hoarse from all the crying she did.

Val has the loudest cries amongst them and holds Alice the most in her arms. “Yes, you are home

now. Please never go without us again!” she said with trouble breathing from all the crying and

almost choked on her words, then she buried her face in the crook of Alice's neck. The others

hummed with nasal sounds.

“I'm going to kill you if you leave us again!” Demonise threatened, and that ruined the gloomy

mood as they all laughed while crying with happy tears.

They released each other with a smile on their faces while wiping their wet cheeks from the tears

stained. And then the sisters hugged Alice and kissed her cheeks one by one, now with all smiles on

their faces.

Suddenly, the five sisters make their way with a big smile and push Alice forward together with a

slight force. Alice gasped and bumped into something hard while her hands pressed into a hard

chest muscle that felt too familiar, then her energy spiked vigorously and her pulse rumbled like a

storm and bolt of lightning. Strong arms wrapped around her waist tightly as support, but with care

and love. Her heart quickens and pounded in her ear loudly, almost making her deaf. With wobbly

legs and trembling lips, she slowly looked up with tears streaming down her face and a smiling,

handsome face with misty and puffy, bright brown eyes greeted her. She doesn't know what to feel

at that moment of time. And her mind went blank.

“Azrael...” she whispered with all her feelings pouring out into that single word and her eyes staring

at Azrael that speaks volumes. Alice wrapped her arms around Azrael’s nape without breaking eye

contact. Tears rolled down in Azrael's face and with all the longing they felt, they embraced each

other like there's no tomorrow. That's how they missed each other. There are no words needed to

speak at that moment because they understand how each other felt.

And Azrael's hands cupped her face gently and kissed her forehead tenderly as she closed her eyes,

then he kissed her eyelids, and she felt his lips on the tip of her nose, and last, he claimed her lips

passionately with all the love in the world. They kissed like they were the only people in the world,

too focused on each other's feelings and thoughts.
