It is over

The door opened slowly, just like in a movie, revealing the crime lord standing there in all his glory, a dark frown etched on his features and a gun hanging in his hand. Beside him stood his right-hand man, straight and alert with his weapon drawn and a whole ass gang behind them with guns pointed in boss's direction.

"King..." Kangsu gasped behind boss, breaking the man out of his trance and making him look around quickly only to get his mind blown. The situation around them had changed to its axis, King's men had piled inside the building at the speed of light and every corner of the room was under cover, fully controlled. Boss's men had dropped their weapons without a fight and surrendered as if they were waiting for the time to come while Kangsu was left speechless at how easily the high dream of his had fallen to the ground.

And crashed into a million pieces.

It was like witnessing the history. Although not related in the least, Kangsu felt the need to reminisce the memories of Enzo Parker, a notorious man known for his subtle killing in his time emerging as king as the latter stepped inside authoritatively. The way King's features morphed into pure distaste seeing Kangsu and boss, the way he carried his way in, all daunting and menacing, all screamed danger.

And no one other than boss and Kangsu knew it better.

While boss and Kangsu recovered from their utter trauma, Mago squealed like a child as soon as King was in his line of sight. The boy gleamed with happiness and oozing cuteness so that King couldn't help but smile as well when his eyes fell on his squishy beloved standing beside boss, maintaining the dark aura, he marched towards boss and stopped when they were close enough. Roughly, King took the gun out of boss's hand making the other jump and feel the hatred through King's touch.

Charlton followed suit, the man shared a glance, a nod and a smile with Lucca and then stood behind King.

The boss was mute behind the mask, slow breathing and his face alignment told that he was looking at King but none of his features were visible except for his eyes. Being stuck from every side is what he felt at the moment, there was no way out now and that fact dropped like a freaking bomb on boss's head.

A blow to his ego as well.

Mago looked between them with glinting eyes, seeing Kangsu so deflated and boss almost like a deer caught in a headlight, Mago considered the plan a full success as he happy danced in his mind and swiftly wiggled his bubble butt while standing between the people who adored him. Ecstatic to see the drama that was to unfold, Mago reached out and pulled the sleeve of boss's coat slightly, successfully gaining his attention when boss turned his face from king to Mago.

"I guess the wait is over my dear lovely, smart boss......my king is here to save me. Oh! and bust your rebellious ass as well" the boy giggle-mocked, he bit his lower lip in a teasing manner and leaned back on Lucca for support. The latter snickered amusedly and Charlton coughed to mask his amusement while King simply stared at boss.

Oh how much he missed the sass.

Kangsu, on the other hand, fumed in rage, he spat on the ground in anger to show his dislike towards the behaviour but all he got in return was a chortle of mockery and a dismissive shake of the head from Mago. Boss wasn't far behind, although not visible but the man was completely gone in anger. With nose flared and hands trembling, he glared at King, his men and his laughing lover from whom he had faced the worst defeat of his life.

No! They can't do this to him.

"Every exit to this place is under my control......your game is over now" King said, directing each word with a certain emotion behind them that boss was fast to get without much effort. He watched how King reached out and held Mago around his waist securely before he muttered something to both Lucca and Charlton, probably some orders for their escort out.

In those moments boss felt the most embarrassed by anyone, he couldn't control his emotions or his acts as the feeling of being called somewhat amateur and stupid in the mafia overpowered his senses and he burst in the form of another silly act.

Mago was busy listening too along with others, that slight distraction was enough for boss to decide and strike and strike he did.

In a split second, he grabbed a hold of Mago's arm and pulled the boy from King's embrace to his own chest. The boy yelped but before he or anyone could do anything, the older scrambled back until he was at the entrance gate and held Mago at dagger's point.

King leapt for Mago with a clenched jaw but in vain while both Lucca and Charlton cursed under their breaths.

And Kangsu smiled.

"It's not over king....not yet" boss announced, glaring through his mask as he gripped Mago tighter for the boy to utter a displeased hiss. King fisted his hands, controlling his temper and digging his nails deep while his men waited for a signal before they could roast the boss into a rotisserie chicken.

Had it been someone other than boss then he would have died a thousand deaths by now and had been buried six feet beneath the ground but King composed himself for himself, Mago and his family.

"give him back" he gritted his teeth but boss was far from listening now

"No!.... I will not let you or anyone take this chance from me. I don't need anyone but this boy to bring you down" boss hissed making Mago lift his chin up and glare at the boss with dark eyes.

Before King, the boy started.

"hey now......this is fucking cheating. You got caught after your fucking low standard plan, now it's better if you surrender like a good puppy" Mago pointed out fairly. Boss, though, didn't pay any heed to him and continued stubbornly with his act.

"keep quiet little boy and stay out of this, this is between me and King now" the older stated as a matter of fact and King sighed exasperated hearing that. What was wrong with boss that had the man digging deeper into the shit he was in? it was about time that he learns about the impossibility of him leaving the location alive if anything....but here he was, screwing every last chance that could perhaps save his life.

"but..." Mago wanted to argue but King was fast to talk over his boy so at least his lover was out of potential harm that could be caused by his provoking tongue.

"give him to me positively and I won't kill you" King offered with a ticking jaw while Mago looked at boss to see if any behaviour changed. Alas! The boy was disappointed when boss only scoffed in return making Mago scoff in return as well.

"please King....you know there is a price for everything right? And don't threaten me with my life anymore if you want him back" boss menaced evilly.

"What do you want?" King asked frustrated, done with the chasing games the crime lord came straight to the point well aware of the greedy desires. The boss was visibly taken aback by King's answer, he didn't expect the latter to ask such a thing in return instead, another show of power dialogues was what he expected because King wasn't one to give in easily.

Was it because he loved Mago so dearly or was it another one of King's trickery for boss to fall in?

Nonetheless, boss decided to cash the chance.

"Name your property, your status, your men to me. Make me the king of your empire" he demanded without hesitation and a long silence fell around the place, boss's men looked shocked but King and his side was aware beforehand hence their nonchalance to the ridiculous demand.

It was until.

"What?" Mago muttered lowly.

"wait what?" Kangsu mumbled out loudly but as expected he was ignored. "What the fuck are you talking about boss? It is me who has to become the king, not you" Kangsu reminded the deal they have been following all along, which at this point was being disruptive and unaccomplished as promised.

"Not now Kangsu....let me talk" Boss warned rudely, not really wanting to hear anyone at the moment. The man was far gone from being considerate of people around him, the deals, the plans or even the partnerships with people who had put their trust in him meant nothing to him, only a sole purpose to attain what he had dreamed all his life and the will to achieve his goals is what he saw.

By hook or by crook.

But Kangsu didn't think like that.

"I mean you can do the talking but I would prefer if your 'talk' makes sense. I have done so much for the status of the crime lord that you had just asked in a silver platter" Kangsu retorted, the man was pissed would be an understatement for how much resentment he was feeling towards boss and king at the moment.

king was not surprised in the least since his awareness of the conflicts between boss and Kangsu regarding the throne they were dying for. It was amusing to see them fight over it at the most crucial moment of their lives....where they had to prove their alliance against King...... but here they were bickering like teenagers.

"I said not now!" boss roared annoyed, it wasn't the first time that nobody in his team listened to him but it was every time that the fact got on his nerves.

"No, Kangsu is right..." Mago started instead of Kangsu this time, he tipped his chin back and looked up at Boss with big doe eyes "Are you fucking crazy, boss? Do you even know what you are asking from him?" the boy asked totally confused, a frown set on his beautiful face told that Mago didn't like where this was going and he wasn't the one to not address his displeasure.

"I know what I asked for and if he loves you then it should be easy for him to do what is necessary" Boss stated as if it was the easiest thing to say but Mago neither liked the tone nor the words coming out of boss's rebellious mouth.

"Oh hell Nah you Fucking Crazy bat shit.......love fucking doesn't work like that!!" the boy shouted and jerked his body to get away from boss only to be held tighter than before. Mago was mad, oh so mad, the edgy hormones made the younger totally gone for the utter nonsense boss had sprouted as he glared daggers at him while the latter did the same.

The outburst of Mago alarmed King and he stepped ahead for his boy, Charlton and Lucca pulled up their weapon in case something out of hand happened while Kangsu stood there shell-shocked at how Mago, a little boy, and boss glared at each other with certain challenge in their postures.

"it does!....and you better behave before I do something horrible" boss fired back with a warning, digging his fingers in Mago's arm, the man proved his point of hurting Mago if he wanted but Mago didn't back down instead, he was more rowdy than before.

"what horrible shit you could do more than coming after the crime lord you fucking psycho" he screeched angrily making boss take a step back involuntarily.

"baby...." King called at his back softly, trying to coax his hyper-angry boyfriend to calm down but it was no use. Mago has had enough.

"No...Don't. You won't do fucking shit he asks for. You have worked your ass for the empire and he is a fucking gold digger crazy bastard ass who wants nothing but everything served in a fucking platter without fucking lifting a finger.....and he doesn't even have enough ethics to not to double cross his own partner Kangsu. Look at this colour-changing fucking chameleon bitch" Mago screamed at Boss's face, the man's eye turned dewy all of a sudden as he slowly let go of Mago's arm.

The hall went dead silent for a beat with everyone just staring at the duo and then

"he is not wrong though..." Kangsu was the one breaking the ice. The comment of his broke every barrier boss had until now and he fumed till his ears were puffing out smoke.

"SHUT UP!!!... You don't get to say anything in the matter you bastard when it's you and Chris who had done all this shit until now!!!......." Boss shouted at Kangsu. Chest rising and falling, the man felt his heart almost beating out of his chest as he trembled in anger.

"and you!..." he then turned to Mago "It is surprising that you are sympathizing with your abductor....I thought you were smarter than this" he accused with a narrow glance but sadly it wasn't seen because of his mask.

Mago only rolled his eyes.

"I am not sympathizing.....sure, he looks like a thrifted cartoon that has no use on earth but he is a harmless bitch..." Mago retorted "You on the other hand..... seem like a professional one" The boy smiled mockingly, careless of any outcome that could fall on him while King just face-palmed.

Sassy Mago was a nightmare.

"How dare you!!!!" boss strode towards the boy for maybe a lesson but King was fast to come in between, he swiftly snatched the knife and stood challenging in front of boss.

"no way in hell you will not put your hands on my boy" King menaced threateningly, he gripped Boss's wrist cutting his blood supply while Mago peaked at boss from behind King.

"take them away Charlton" King then ordered, pushing Boss towards Charlton roughly. But the man jerked away from Charlton and stood straight, he glared at King with hatred in his eyes while the others watched him silently as they waited for his next move.

"your oblivious boy needs to see the reality.....he should know that the man he thinks is innocent and is being cheated on is the reason behind the suffering for most of his life!!" boss gritted his teeth enraged as he delivered a piece of his irritated mind, after being put in the centre and being blamed on for everything, he was also accused for double-crossing Kangsu?

What the actual fuck?

"what do you mean?" a confused Mago muttered with a frown and Kangsu felt his hands and feet going cold.

"you wouldn't dare boss" the old man hissed, signalling boss to stay quiet but the shit was so deep now. king agreed on Kangsu with this, he wasn't against Mago knowing about the truth untold but he also deemed the situation not preferable for such revelations.

Sensitive matters shouldn't be spoked insensitively

But before King could do anything about it, boss was yelling over his order once again, determined to take down Kangsu before his own downfall.

Maybe he didn't like Mago's slight defence in Kangsu's favour after all.

"oh, I will because it's you and that bastard Chris who has taken his parents away, not me......it's you who fucking killed Enzo and Snow Parker!!" Boss screeched until all it blared were those words in Mago's ears as the boy looked at boss shocked, confused and somewhat damaged emotionally.

"take them away now Charlton.....it is over now" King growled with finality making boss go silent and Kangsu jump, he then glanced behind boss for a brief second as he held Mago around his shoulders and pressed the now quiet boy close to his chest. Meanwhile, Charlton and Lucca stepped towards boss in two long strides to take him away but as soon as they tried to grip him around his arms to take him away, boss drew back suddenly and leapt for Charlton's gun.....

"I said it's not over!!!" he screamed, trying his luck last time desperately but only to stop mid-act when he felt a cold metal pressed against his nape harshly.

"Enough darling....I think you should stop. It is over"
