Inexpensive legacy
King Mafia and Mago
"I have completed all the necessary formalities. The only thing left is his presence at the location, and then claim what originally belongs to him," Mr Grey explained in a low, calm voice. He placed the glass of wine he had been served elegantly on the table and shifted in his seat, raising his eyes to find the crime lord staring at him.
It was Mr Grey himself who had requested to meet Crime Lord after he returned from his business trip, the man had a long-time desire to deliver the safely kept treasured possession of his beloved friend to the rightful heir as soon as he could and that's how he was there, facing King in his office room. Although it was already established that the crime lord of the biggest empire brewed no problems with the businessman and respected him the way he should, still it took a lot from the older to engage in any kind of an encounter with the daunting man in front of him.
King, who was aware of his intimidating and charismatic personality, smirked inside and chuckled, while he blew the smoke out of his mouth and into the air.
The manor was void of any chaos, no loud cursing, no cooking adventure and no whining for childish things hence the peaceful arrangement of the meeting.
Mago was not present around the house, he aspired for a 'Soulmate Time' and some shopping at his favourite mall after the whole ordeal of bad events had passed. Imagining Mago ecstatic, would be an understatement. The boy was a squealing mess once he was allowed outside, under the strict direction of Lucca, and was escorted to surprise his best friend for a whole day of just fun and nothing less.
King was also awarded in the process.....and that too heavily.... since he was the one who came up with such an amazing idea. Happiness bloomed in his heart and soul when the small, waddling lover of his had tackled him on the sofa and kissed him senselessly for a mere day of outing.
The plan had worked and it made King more than satisfied with his choice of arrangements.
Incredible coincidence it was really, the day decided for Mago and Mickey's play date was the exact day Mr Chris and Kangsu were to be escorted to their respective places. While making the arrangements, King and his trusty team had considered Mago's curious nature as their top priority, and to ensure a perfect departure from the manor's basement to the culprit's final destinations, King came up with a sudden distraction for his boy and made him go away for a while.
However, the understanding was different on Mago's part.
Though restricted to a certain extent, Mago still managed a small whiff of King's plan through a very loyal fairy godmother Lucy and charted out his own plan for a final, very important farewell to Mr Chris. And what could be a better guise for acting rebel other than King's personal permission to leave the premises?
Nevertheless, Mago was gone along with Mickey and his absence had provided a fair chance to proceed with the important tasks which in a result was a matter of relief for King and Charlton.
But the emptiness remained
Perhaps it was the reason Mr Grey was seeking a certain someone around with great subtlety, beside his seat sat several gift bags he had brought for the boy and was in fact looking forward to meeting Mago but sadly, it wasn't the case.
"You are right..." King started with a hum, he crossed his legs stylishly as he sat a bit straighter "It will prove to be a good step in the progress of his future but there can be a slight change to the plan" he stated while picking his flute of liquor and Mr Grey watched king curiously.
"I don't understand" he almost whispered, casting his gaze down when King raised his eyes in the older's direction.
"I will ask Mago of course but I don't think he will be needing or wanting the diamonds anytime soon. Instead, he will dismiss me brutally by saying 'I am still thinking about it, give me time'" King mimicked his lover a little too perfectly, explaining the stance of Mago, and spurting a chortle out of Charlton who stood by his side. King glared at him from the corner of his eyes and then fixed his gaze back on the older man.
Ahem...
"May I know why? Doesn't he want the legacy of his deceased father?" a simple yet intriguing question then erupted from Mr Grey, the latter had his eyebrows pulled into a frown as he asked simply because he couldn't handle the answer King had provided him on behalf of Mago.
It was millions, billions they were talking about, who doesn't want that?
King chuckled humourlessly in return and didn't answer for a few seconds, he smoked and drank from his glass while Mr Grey stared at the terrifying man cautiously.
"Maybe for emotional value he would, but other than that, my baby Mago doesn't seem interested in billions worth of diamonds. You can ask him when you meet him yourself" King assured with a smile, a smile that didn't reach his eyes making Mr Grey sigh out a breath.
King surely was a different man when his queen wasn't around.
"It is strange is all I am saying king, please don't get me wrong." Mr Grey started again "People were dying and killing, crimes were committed just for the sake of this wealth, he is so casual about," He finished with another sigh. The worries Mr Grey had were not wrong, he had seen a world where people could go to any length if it meant they could get what they wanted and King understood it right away.
"It's totally fine Mr Grey" King straightened up as he stubbed his almost dead cigarette in the ashtray before he looked up "And you are right with your concerns. People might still want to come after those diamonds, probably because they want luxuries, big houses, cars, security and whatnot. Whereas, my little Mago only whines for comfortable discounted blankets, baked cookies, bath bombs and M&M's" King chuckled as he said and surprisingly, Mr Grey was also smiling by now.
Mago was just adorable the way he was
"The only luxury he demands is to not be forbidden from using my expensive suit collection. And I think, I can afford this much for the cute boy of mine now can't I?" the playful question asked by King earned him an amused Mr Grey in return, they both shared a laugh and from there began a new discussion about Mago and his adorable traits.
King was lucky to have everything wealth, power and authority and he was proud to be able to provide Mago with whatever he needed, those diamonds were nothing for King to buy and spill in Mago's tiny feet for the sake of it.
What really matters is the happiness of that small and beautiful boy and for that, King was always ready.
...
Meanwhile, Jana was busy with his work at the port. Rummaging through the cabinet, he looked for a certain record file when all a sudden the commotion outside caught his attention. There were yells and orders, some clamour that sounded like someone special had arrived at the location and after a flash of clearance in his mind, Jana knew exactly who it might be.
That's right.....it was Mr Chris who was about to be transported to the land of another Mafia as a gift.
Jana dropped whatever he was doing and hastily left the record room for the entrance of the port where, to his assumption, Mr Chris was supporting a racket with the guards and other men of King. Now, Jana was aware, he was informed in advance about the events that were to unfold regarding the old man. The news had hurt him to his soul, produced a panic from him and made Jana cry too but then he was thankful not to find the dead body of his father after what he had done.
Garry's Karma was also at the back of his mind.
But seeing his father acting like a rabid animal pulled a hurtful string in his heart and the man wished to have a chance so he could plead to King for Mr Chris's punishment.
But it's too late
Mago was the one who had asked Jana to prepare the departure for Mr Chris, it was he who had decided to use the west side for the assignment so there be no ends left when he was done with what he wanted. Jana had of course refused, he was furious and then pleading but after that, he had no choice but to surrender when the young queen didn't hesitate and used his status to put the required pressure.
Jana had to escort his father far away and take a vital part in banishing the man from the country premises.
"Let go of me!!!" Jana snapped out of his thoughts when he heard the screams of the older struggling in the grasp of King's men. He stepped quickly towards the forming crowd and scooted near where Mr Chris was a roaring mess.
"Dad?" he called softly, a little disappointed and hurt. The older halted in his act as he slowly turned to face Jana but just as he turned, Jana felt his heart clenching at the sight of his beaten dad. Mr Chris was served mercilessly, he was scarred on his body and face and his hair looked like they were blasted.
Dishevelled and beaten
"Jana? What are you doing here?" the older asked confused as he looked around, seemingly forgetful of the fact that his son was the underboss and worked at one of the top positions at the port.
"I work here Dad" Jana replied sadly, there was no changing the man who didn't have enough time to know or keep some knowledge about his own child.
"Oh right right..." the older slurred as if drunk, with eyes trying to focus Mr Chris remembered something and stared at Jana accusingly "Then you must know what they are going to do to me don't you?" he asked narrowing his gaze making the younger to lower his eyes.
"I do. I have heard some of it from Mickey and got orders from Mago" Jana said ashamed for some reason, he closed his eyes and sucked in a breath when Mr Chris scoffed at him.
"Well....aren't you going to help your father then? Won't you tell your little bitch to free me and let me go?" the older spat arrogantly making King's men glare at him as well. It was obvious who Mr Chris addressed and why but having to tolerate such behaviour is not everyone's cup of tea.
"I-I can't dad. He is my boss" Jana tried to explain but stopped when he saw how the older stared at him murderously, a cruel frown that rested over his wrinkled face.
"Boss huh?.... I see....Money speaks more than blood now doesn't it Jana?" Mr Chris menaced accusingly and Jana hurried over to his father to explain.
"No Dad, it's not like that" he tried but Mr Chris shrugged him off rudely and pulled away.
"It is like that Jana because you are a fucking dog!" Mr Chris screamed "What good your position is for if you can't help the man who has fed you and put a roof over your head when you couldn't even fucking speak" the older yelled and yelled creating a scene while Jana stood there silently listening. Humiliation absorbed him whole and tears stung his eyes but the man remained rooted where he was while he let himself be criticized.
"Pay me for what I did for you, pay me for being a father to a fucking failure like you Jana" Mr Chris demanded just as a tear made its way down Jana's cheek and he hiccupped.
"H-how" he sobbed without a voice but the hurt in his tone was audible
"Tell that boy to let me go. I have done nothing wrong, and even if I did then it's not that big to be treated this way" The older placed his demand, showing a way his son should 'pay' him back and Jana nodded quickly.
"I-I will talk to Mago, he will listen to me...." the younger assured, more to himself, while he wiped his face roughly before he pulled out his phone.
"Yes, do it and convince that hateful litter of Enzo Parker and release me to my freedom" Jana nodded once again and proceeded to dial Mago's number. But while doing so, the man wondered why everybody around him was quiet as a mouse. Since the arrival of Mr Chris and the drama that ensued, neither anybody interjected nor said a word, why was everyone around him so silent?
The answer wasn't far though because in the next second, a voice behind him boomed around the area and Jana halted mid-act of calling his brother.
"You have some nerve to hate me Mr Chris when I am the one who should hate you for what you have done" The voice belonged to none other than Mago, Jana could identify the smug smile in the voice without turning around to see as well. Nevertheless, slow and steady, he turned around only to face the queen of the west side and the lover of the Crime lord standing at the entrance gate with Lucca, Mickey and a bunch of bodyguards behind him.
The boy looked cute and irresistible with the way he dressed himself for the occasion, an opposite version of King nobody had ever seen.
Mago had his long hair tied up into a tight ponytail leaving his beautiful face exposed, a large overcoat had drowned the boy to his feet and big boots cladded his feet while he held a bag of spicy Cheetos in his grip.
All and all, the queen was there.
"As if you already don't" Mr Chris answered with a disgusted expression pulling Jana out of his trance, the latter looked between his father and his brother and tried to add up the scenario but to his bad luck, he wasn't fast.
"Not to the extent of killing you. But now that I know what you did to my parents, I should end you for good" Mago smiled evilly when he saw Mr Chris going pale, the boy was there to expose a father to his son and end what could be mended over time forever.
And Mr Chris understood it right away.
"Your parents? Did he know your parents, .....no...what did he do to your parents?" It was Jana who asked before Mr Chris could jump in, the man had a confused frown and a dreading feeling inside but a strong urge to know the unsaid was also there.
"Nothing! I did nothing" Mr Chris cried exasperated.
"He killed them, betrayed my parents and stole me from them. He ruined my life Jana" Mago revealed with a glare, he added last-minute emotions and dialogues to play out the situation more than it really hurt.
"What?" Jana muttered dumbfounded
"Kangsu and Mr Chris, both were involved and they have accepted it in front of King" Mickey added the detail watching Jana going shell-shocked with each passing minute.
"No, Dad can't stoop that low," he thought
The silence that fell between them prolonged until it was bothersome for Mr Chris, he grabbed Jana by his arms and shook him till his son was looking in his eyes.
"Say something, Jana....I am your father, I am your dad, your only parent. Things like these shouldn't matter to us. Besides, he isn't your blood brother and only a fucking orphan.....it doesn't matter son. It doesn'tâ
"Did you kill his parents' dad?" Jana whispered the look in his eyes betrayed the son Mr Chris had known all his life. A stranger that perhaps only wanted answers and nothing more was dominating and it caused Mr Chris to release Jana and take a step back.
"Did You?" Jana asked again, disgust and rage evident in his tone. Mr Chris never answered making Jana shake his head in resentment.
"If you are evil enough to take away someone's parents, then I believe you are not worthy of calling yourself a parent as well" Jana said solemnly before he turned and left the scene with thudding steps, leaving Mr Chris a hopeless man.
