King and Queen
King Mafia and Mago
King and Queen
âI didnât want to say this but you did good that you fired Kangsu off his postâ Mr Xavier smiled as he placed the tab, which he had been looking from, on the table and picked up his glass of wine. The former king was there in his sonâs office to discuss some matter which ended up leading to the dismissal of Kangsu.
âMany of our alliances are surprisingly pleased, they seem happy with the decision.â He gossiped with a charming chuckle, taking a sip of expensive alcohol, as he explained his experience where he went in a gathering earlier.
The alliances, Mr Xavier was talking about, hurled question after question about Kangsu towards the former king. They were excited when they learned the news, some were relieved with the absence of that grumpy old truck and some complained about the pumpkin head and his funny deeds finding the right occasion to do so.
It was all entertaining for Mr Xavier.
âhis greed for authority and power led him towards his worst fate. Kangsu has killed Black panda, stole millions from us and led the rebels against our empire, eating our roots, killing many others and the list goes on. It made me think that I should have done that way beforeâ King listed out the reasons for his decision and Mr Xavier hummed in return while enjoying his drink.
King glanced at his right-hand man, who was standing in the corner, and gestured him to come closer. The man approached and leaned down to listen to what King was going to tell him.
King directed Charlton, pointing at different files, regarding the work they were engaged in and Charlton nodded in return. Both King and Charlton then began to gather files and other stuff from the table together.
Mr Xavierâs eye followed Charlton as he picked the files and the device from the coffee table, delivering everything back to Kingâs desk and then busied himself in making a glass of whiskey for King.
King faced his father once again and smiled when the old man locked eyes with his son.
âyou are very right sonâ¦â¦. there is no doubt about it. I am just surprised, I had no idea he would go to such lengths just for the sake of powerâ Mr Xavier said with a sigh, taking another gulp of his drink.
Charlton placed the glass on the table in front of King and went back to his spot.
âI mean; Enzo was a good man. He was hardworking and every bit lethal yet kind. I have never heard of him doing anything that could offend anyone and anythingâ¦..until he livedâ¦â¦..â the former king sighed as he said those appreciating words for the man who had never let a chance escape to impress Mr Xavier with his extraordinary skills.
Mr Xavier gulped the last of his drink to wet his throat while King listened to his father attentively.
It was like a storytelling session that Mr Xavier had lived in reality.
âKangsu and Enzo were at least acquaintances if not friendsâ¦â¦â¦they had worked together a bunch of times and it was always good, to say the leastâ¦â¦â¦.but itâs what they say âthe love of power is a demon of mankindââ Mr Xavier revealed as he reminisced his old collection of memories.
King regarded his fatherâs words as he watched Mr Xavier placing his glass back on the table before leaning comfortably on the sofa.
âItâs not just power I suspectâ King started earning a look from his father. Mr Xavier blinked calmly with a nudge of his chin to give the signal that he was listening.
âkilling Black Panda was like a dream of an enemy. Kangsu not only dared to finish Black Panda brutally, he also killed his wife who had nothing to do with the mafia and stole his child.â King delivered his thoughts. Mr Xavier listened carefully.
âI think it is more than attaining power, itâs a large amount of hatred towards the man and his familyâ the father sighed listening to King, as he began to understand where his son was going.
Mr Xavier himself thought about it when Enzo Parker was murdered all of a sudden one night, but at that time Kangsu was working at a lower level, he wasnât any leader so he didnât strike to be the one to be accused.
âmaybe he didnât want to leave any witness or didnât want the heir of Enzo to dig about himâ The king nodded his head in agreement.
That was one of the reasons.
âhe might have had that purpose but then he didnât kill the small child to remove every evidence possible. Besides, there are other things to consider as wellâ King started as he stood up from his place to get to the small table beside his mahogany desk. The mafia boss picked his fatherâs favourite drink and sauntered back to the coffee table.
Mr Xavier didnât utter a word, the man patiently waited for his son to reveal what he had found.
âWe have been digging about him a lot. He is interesting in his daily chores and have surprising connections. But to my utter disappointment, that man does not know how to cover his tracks completelyâ¦â¦â King explained as he filled the olderâs glass before placing the bottle down.
âWren and Kangsu have a solid history fatherâ¦â¦â¦.â King started revealing found facts to his father and, Mr Xavier listened carefully. The room was quiet except for the king speaking, while Charlton stood at his place knowing everything the king was saying beforehand.
He was with King when they were discovering the long-lost story.
Wren and Kangsu had a long history, they both knew each other from the time of Black Panda and his popularity. The popularity that became the cause of his early death.
Kangsu, a mere underboss, and Wren, a thug living on the streets, had a thirst for power and money. Their greed knew no bounds when they saw the possibilities of fulfilling their evil desires if Black Panda was removed out of the way.
Similar tastes and common needs made both of them attract each other and make a pair of utter chaos in someoneâs life. They started to help each other here and there until it was time to plan the risky and big steps of their fortunate career.
Working together made them rely on each other completely.
If Kangsu had asked for help in something that could benefit them both then Chris was ready to do whatever it took, the same was the reaction of Kangsu to his beloved friend.
It was all perfect while it lasted, as they made mountains of money for their thirsty greed until it was a time when they charted out the worst, cruel plan.
To end Enzo Parker.
And thatâs what they did. They both favoured each other in executing the plan, committing the act of the worst betrayal Enzo could expect, with a promise to disperse with their valued possession and never meet again.
But they met, they met after so long only to ask each other one last favour, but this time with strict business terms.
Kangsu asked Wren Christopher to lead his created rebel groups, sneakily, against King and in return he would bring back the beautiful baby boy Chris wanted oh so badly.
But what they didnât know was that karma was coming to bite their asses off in a guise of someone who they couldnât expect in their worst nightmare.
âMy babâI mean Mago has lost his parents, he never got to live with them for more than eleven months. Kangsu deserves this for what he has done and Chris will get it too whenever I get my hands on himâ King promised to himself, averting his eyes to avoid his fatherâs lit-up gaze on his slip-up.
Mr Xavier placed his heavy hand on Kingâs shoulder.
âwell..â¦itâs a decision of the Crime Lord that I donât want to intervene inâ¦â¦.â â¦â¦â Mr Xavier stood up straightening his clothes, King followed suit âand I believe you did that by keeping everything in your sight.â
âI did father, donât worryâ King assured with a smile. Mr Xavier didnât return the smile instead a teasing smirk made its way over his handsome features and King got confused and alarmed altogether.
âI donât worry at all son, I have nothing to do soâ¦â¦.because it isnât my lover who has refused to talk to meâ There was surely amusement behind the olderâs orbs because the moment Mr Xavier shot those words, King felt his face warming up.
âHow did he know?â is what King thought.
Charlton stifled the smile threatening to spread across his lips and King noticed it with a glare.
âhe is just stupid, wanting to be a part of simply danger. He will get over it, I know he willâ King muttered, assuring himself. In all honesty, he doubted his own claim because Mago hadnât talked to him the whole day. The boy neither disturbed him nor came for Charlton, who by all means missed his little friend.
Mago will never get over it.
Mr Xavier patted at kingâs shoulder, a way for him to convey that whatever he was about to say was important.
âItâs your decision kingâ¦â¦â¦all I am saying is that you should talk to him. Listen to what he has to say, donât ignore himâ King lowered his gaze from his father when Mr Xavier bored his stare into Kingâs eyes, this time seriously.
âhe wants to work----â¦â King wanted to defend his choice of not letting Mago taking any position in the mafia but Mr Xavier didnât want to hear anything.
âAnd whatâs wrong with it? Your boy is a true descendant of Enzo Parker, he deserves this place after all it was stolen by Kangsu inappropriatelyâ King stared at his father, feeling tongue-tied seeing no point to argue.
âBesides, you love him which means he is going to be the queen of our empire, just like your mother was to me. Shouldnât he be tested regarding his abilitiesâ Mr Xavier continued, ignoring how a small smile spread across Charltonâs face when King didnât respond.
Mr Xavier had a point.
The father patted his sonâs back once again before taking his leave only to stop at the closed door, with one hand on the door handle and the other in his pocket.
âand king,â¦â Mr Xavier called from where he stood, loud and clear ââ¦donât take it personally but Mago Parker is a chaotic merge of Snow and Enzo and I think that he will prove to be a better Queen than his Kingâ a smirky smile was what king stared at his fatherâs face, as Mr Xavier announced his opinion, before he left the room.
The man called him by his status, mocked him swiftly and told him how capable his boyfriend was.
King stood there shocked and Charlton was giddy by the door.
That was one hell of a scene.
