we had stayed at the animal sanctuary for another hour or so until we started to get hungry. the guys explained that they hadn't had any lunch, and neither did sherri or i.

"where do you wanna go for lunch?" jamie asked us. i shrugged my shoulders.

"don't mind" so we just started walking to the hotels good court, inside. "i wanna look around the shops after lunch and then go to the pool" i said to everybody and they agreed. we arrived at the buffet and looked around it to see if there were any free chairs. there are for spare seats that just so happen to be next to my mum and dad.

"dot lo-" ri turned to me stopping inher tracks.

"i know, it's fine let's just go over to them" i replied.

"who is that?" trevor asked.

"our mum and dad" i chuckled, grabbing his hand and leading the way towards them. when we got to their table, i casually say down in one of the seats.

"hey mum, dad" i smiled. i was still holding trevor's hand.

"dotty! we haven't seen you since yesterday, where your sist-" mum got cut off by sherri.

"i'm here" she sat down next to me. "mum, dad this is jamie and trevor" she smiled sternly them, giving them a 'please do not embarrass us' look. mum turned to me and gave me a knowing look while smiling. i tugged trevor's hand down, motioning him to sit down next to me, so he did.

"lovely to meet you boys" mum smiled, dad shook their hands unexpectedly. sherri and i looked at each other. they both returned the welcome.

"we're gonna get food and be back in a minute" i quickly said getting up with trevor. leaving sherri and jamie with mum and dad.

the food looked so good. i grabbed a plate from the side and piled lots of diffrent foods on it. tomatoes, cheese, breadsticks, crisps, krutons, sweet corn, cold pasta (the good kind obviously) and more stuff. on our way back to the table i warned trevor about the bombardment of questions he was about to get. to which he chuckled at.

as soon as we sat down, ri rushed away, practically dragging jamie behind her. "so trevor are you staying with your parents here?" mum asked.

"yes, jamie and i's parents are staying here" he nodded, spooning a load of pasta into his mouth. giving him time to eat his food, i asked mum and dad what they had done so far that day.

"well, there was a yoga class in the morning on the beach, so we thought that would be a fun thing to do, but apart from that we've been at the pool, reading." dad explained with a mouth full of yoghurt.

"gross dad, finish your mouth before you talk" i said, disgusted. to which he replied by making a face at me. sherri and jamie came back and sat down.

"what have you done today?" mum asked.

"sherri and i slept in until, like, ten thirty because we were so tired from last night and then-" i said without knowing.

"why? what was last night?" dad quirked an eyebrow.

"uhm we found the english channel and stayed up watching telly" i casually said. "anyway, then we meet up with trevor and jamie to go see the animals here. and after lunch we're going to look around at the shops" i says happily. for the rest of lunch jamie and trevor told mum and dad about their hockey careers and their families.

"well would you look at the time!" ri exclaimed, looking down at her wrist, where there was no watch. "i think we best get going don't you think so dotty?"

"definitely, the shops will be closing soon" i fake sighed, shaking my head. the four of us got up.

"bye then" mum and dad said. the boys said that it was nice to meet them and we were finally out of there. i felt i vibration from my phone and it was a text from my mum. 'tell me more about him tonight' it said.
