"there you go" sherri handed me a class of what looked like fanta and trevor water. i mumbled a thanks and laid back down. a couple of moments later trevor nudged me.

"you wanna go on the slides?" he asked, pointing towards the colourful slides that were to our right.

"okie dokie. we're going to look at a couple of the slides" i informed ri and jamie. jamie nodded and sherri made some sort of sound.

trevor and i made our way over to the slides while talking about dinner.

"maybe we should have dinner with both our families. and jamie's. how about that?" i sounded.

"yeah that doesn't sound like too bad an idea. we can talk to jamie and your sister when we get back"

"mhm"

we had made it to the top of the stairs that led to four slides all lined up together. i day walked to the pink one, dibsing it. trevor walked to the next free one, which was next to me.

"are we racing?" i asked.

"for sure" he grinned. i counted down from three and we were off. i laid down on my back to gain speed, while trevor was rapidly moving his arms to make him slide faster. i won. we splashed into the water and arose, i was cackling a lot.

"you cheated" trevor stated as he got out of the pool. he held a hand out to help me and i took it.

"oh yeah? how?" i giggled. he didn't answer, trying to fight a smile away. "exactly! come on i wanna go on that green one" we went on slide after slide until we had gone on all of them. "do ya wanna head back now?"

"sure" we walked back to jamie and ri in comfortable silence. for the next couple of hours i sun bathed, praying for a tan and not just a horrible sun burn. trevor had pulled my sun bed, so that our shoulders were touching , radiating each others body warmth. with a sigh he slowly laid his head on top of my left shoulder. his legs were bent and lent against mine.

"you alright?" i asked.

"mhm" he grabbed my earphone, like he had done before and placed it in his ear.

for the rest of our time down at the pool, we sat, mostly in silence, soaking in the hot sun. jamie had been scrolling on his phone when he had spoken up.

"i've got an idea," he spoke, making all our head turn. "we should play that game where you go on someone's shoulders and try to get"

"oh my gosh yes!" sherri said excitingly. i turned to trevor and he shrugged, replying to jamie with "sure". he handed me the earphone he had and got up from the chair, stretching. i took my sunglasses off and placed them on his chair, on top of his towel. everyone got in the pool.

"okay trevor you and dot go together, and sherri and i will go together." jamie winked at trevor. he lowered his body into the water so i could lift myself onto his broad shoulders. his hands sat on the top of my thighs, making my cheeks flush. i wabbled backwards but his hands clenched my thighs, steadying me. my hands sat on his hair.

"you okay?" he asked, looking up at me.

"yeah i'm good" he nodded and faced towards ri and jamie. ri gave me a look, widening her eyes and smirking. jamie counted down from three as trevor and i got closer to them. as soon as he said 'go' we started to try and get jamie and sherri under the water. i finally pushed sherri by the side of her head and she splashed into the water. my arms flew up in the air in triumph. trevor quickly let me down and he jumped up and down in the water like a child, making me laugh. i patted his chest and he waved his arms around my waist from behind.

"okay okay! that was a practise round, so it didn't count!" jamie said, sherri agreeing.

"we're gonna thrash 'em" i looked to trevor, him nodding in agreement.
