i couldn't get to sleep that night. (1) because of the heat, and (2) because i wad thinking about him.

at around 3:30 in the morning, my alarm sounded.

"oi sherri, we need to get up" we had planned to watch the sunrise from the beach next to the hotel. i loved watching the sunrise and set. it was beautiful.

"huh?"

"get up!" she finally got the jist on why we needed to get up and dragged herself out of bed.

"we're gonna take such good photos" i said smiling widely.

"it's 3:30. how on earth do you have this much energy?" sherri groaned as she started to change into different clothing. i shrugged and packed my bag.

"right i've got m&m's, our books, uno, our disposable cameras, a power bank and a towel. is there anything else we need?" i questioned.

"uhh no, don't think so" i nodded and swung my tote bag over my shoulder. i clipped my hair up in a claw clip and we left our room.

the hotel was so quiet. i loved it. we walked down to the beach in silence. the only sound breaking the silence were my flip flops.

"you know what we should do tonight" sherri said as we exited the hotel doors and went around some of the pools.

"what?"

"we should go to the club here"

"no thanks" i hated clubs. i had only been to one before and that was so the info i needed to show my hatred for hem.

"why not, it'll be so much fun" sherri whines.

"if you wanna go so bad then go and i'll say in the room"

"ummm hello? i'd get kidnapped or something. so you HAVE to go with me"

after some thinking i had finally given in and agreed with her. i was going clubbing in a foreign country. yay.

we barely saw anyone on our way down to the beach. because it's 3:30 of course. once we got to our destination, i stood with my mouth wide open and took in my surroundings.

"dot close your mouth you'll catch flies" commented sherri making me give her a sarcastic smile.

"it's so pretty" i said, she nodded in response.

we found a good area to sit in, so i laid our towel down and say on it as sherri emptied the bag. i grabbed my camera and started taking photos.

"i can't wait to develop all of these photos." for the rest of the time we spent at the beach, we played two rounds of uno. both of which sherri won, making me a bit grumpy. i read some of the book i wad reading, 'call me by your name', and we put our feet in the sea for a while and talked about random things.

at around 5 o'clock, we packed our things up and headed back to our room. on our walk to the lift, something on the floor had caught my eye. i moved towards it and picked it up. it was a key card. was it their key card?

"oi what are you doing?" sherri asked quietly.

"look" i said, bringing the key card up to get face. her face broke out into a very wide grin.

"is that their key card?" she asked as she pointed to it and raised her eyebrows. i shrugged.

"who knows, what do we do with it?" i questioned.

"ahh silly, innocent, little dotty. here's the plan. we'll probably see them around the pool today, and we can act all innocent and everything. and then, when the time is right, when they're both together, we go over to them and give it to them"

"okay" i said simply.

"is that all you have to say? okay?"

"what do you want me to say? that's the greatest idea anyone's ever had" i mimicked her voice. she rolled her eyes and headed for the lift.

once we got back to our room, i had a nap for a good 4 and a half hours before getting ready for breakfast. nothing could prepare me for what happened that day.
