Chapter 10: Dragon Vein-Blood Bone Fruit

Taking up the note, Jiang Feng opened it with firm hands. He knew that this must be the last few words from his father before his departure, the swaying of the bamboo trees never stopped and the growling of his belly became even louder but that didn't shake his firm hands that held the note.

"Fen'er, by the time he read this, I wouldn't be in the same world as you are now, the world out there is so large that your current level of thinking wouldn't be able to wrap your mind around it. Cultivation is like fighting against heaven, you must have a firm heart and a firm mind to continue pressing forward. I've left three items for you, the first is a spatial ring, the best of its kind in the lower realm, you mustn't let anyone find out that it's a spatial ring of such magnitude."

Jiang Feng looked at the ring before turning back to the note and continued his reading.

"Inside I've left all the tools from my workshop for you to use, there are serval materials that I've picked out for forging, and the best of only is the forging table. The second item is a Dragon Vein-Blood Bone Fruit. I found this fruit inside a secret realm 300 years ago during a time of great war and bloodshed, the spiritual energy inside is as fierce as a wild beast and as vast as a sea, at least based on historical books that's what it was described as."

"The fruit needed a very long time to mature and it should be of age in the next few days. This fruit is extremely rare, so rare that I've only read about it and never had the opportunity to run into a next after 300 years. I've never had the chance to use it nor have I used one before so be careful when you do. The last item is an unknown factor, it is a dagger that I've found alongside the Dragon Vein-Blood Bone Fruit, there were some words left behind "First and last of its kind- Celestial Dagger"

"After years of studying this Celestial dagger, I come to find that seal is locking the power of this weapon and that it must first choose a master before unsealing, its materials are unknown to even myself, and I've come to determine that I have no faith with this weapon. So in hopes, I've entrusted it to you"

Those were the final words left behind by Master Jiang Long. The note was brief and to the point, taking the ring, Jiang Feng looked at it from front to back, and seeing that nothing was out of place, he placed the ring on his finger. The moment he did, the skin of his finger broke with the ring devouring some blood before glowing for a moment and stopping.

"Hmm as I've expected,  nothing from Father is ordinary"

Once the ring settled down, Jiang Feng could see a large space inside that could hold serval palaces if need be. The inside was neatly packed with ores, metals, spirit stones though not many, and other fordging materials and equipment. There was even a forging table in the middle that gave off a burning heat wave. There was also a section with an empty table to the side.

"I guess I can put the Dragon Vein-Blood Bone Fruit on this table for the time being." Jiang Feng waved his hand and the fruit disappeared to only appear on top of the empty table. He smiled at the miraculous sight.

"Oh, it's still absorbing spiritual energy even from inside the ring. Could it be that the ring has spiritual energy inside and I just can't sense it at my level or is it that the Dragon Vein-Blood Bone Fruit is the one pulling in spiritual energy?"

A thinking expression crept up on his face before he chose to ignore the fruit for now. He would wait a few days before figuring out what to do with it. Turning to look at the Celestial Dagger, Jiang Feng chose to also place it inside the ring but on the forging table instead.

The weight of the dagger would break the table and potentially destroy the fruit if he tried to store it there. "Even with the heat of the forging table, the dagger remains cool to the touch"

Jiang Feng sat down to clear his mind, closing his eyes, he could see two glowing meridians, the Ren and Due Meridians, he could even feel a blazing firm in the depths of his soul but he just couldn't see where it was located. Not only that but his blood was rushing and glowed slightly. "Two opened meridians and 10% blood cleansing, I can also feel the power of the Flame Seed heating up on my body. So this is reverse cultivation, a process frowned upon by the heavens"

Jiang Feng took a deep breath as he observed his blood and two meridians, meridian opening was the last phase of the Foundation Stage, while blood cleansing was the first, followed by bone forging. So the process should be as follows spiritual energy to do Blood Cleansing, Bone Forging, and then open the Nine Meridian Channels.

Cleansing the blood would in turn strengthen the muscles, organs, and cells of the body with the use of spiritual energy. Bone Fordging is to strengthen the bones of the human bone with spiritual energy until the bones have zero impurities and are as tough as steel. This would help the body handle the impact of spiritual energy. Once the body is firm enough, Meridian Opening would follow.

The body has nine cultivation meridians that allow spiritual energy to flow unimpeded around the body, they also attack as a channel between heaven, earth, and man. Without the use of meridians, martial arts, and cultivation techniques would be impossible to practice.

Some high-level martial arts would require the meridians to be extremely sturdy lest they break during the execution of said martial arts and cause the body to explode. Before Meridian Opening, cultivators could only manipulate spatial energy but after Meridian Opening, the meridians could act as a mini storage unit for spiritual energy.
