8. the paddle and the terrible day*

I felt a kiss on my forehead and winced at the light peeking through the blinds.

"Axel", I whined.

"You gotta go to school princess", he said. I looked up at him. All eight of his abs right in front of me. What a sight.

He snapped his fingers and motioned for me to get up.

"What do I have to do to school for, huh, it's not like I have a choice on what I'll do in life", I said. Mornings were not my thing.

"Well what's wrong with 31", Axel asked getting all defensive.

"Nothing I just don't have a choice, I'm already a sub, and schools pointless", I complained while putting on some makeup at my vanity in the room.

He kinda ignored me and just dressed himself. Another 31 shirt. Long sleeved and showed all his muscles.

"What are you doing today", I asked while filling in my brows.

"I've got to look at some reports of the newbys of 31. They're clueless and pussies", he said.

"Oh", I said.

"Yep", he said putting on some royal blue shoes to match his royal blue shirt and black sweats.

"I'm leaving, ride with Tati Hayden said she's picking you and Hadley up, if she doesn't let me know", he said kissing my head.

"Okay", I said.

"Be good", he said.

Mhmmm. I'm good.

Everything was cool. Till I realized I forgot to fucking shower. I refuse to go to school smelling like Axel.

I ran to the kitchen got a planting back cut holes out so that I could breath but save my brows. Then hopped in the shower.

Thirty minutes flew by and Tati was here. I got in her black Range Rover Hayden so graciously bought her but today Tati looked sad. It wasn't like her. Hadley made a face at me as I got in. A 'don't poke the angry bear' face. But I couldn't help but wonder.

"Tati what's wrong", I asked concerned.

"It's nothing", she said keeping her eyes on the road. She kept biting her lips and looking up every chance she got. Obviously fighting back tears. Did she think I was stupid?

"Tatianna please just tell me", I said using her full name and giving her the puppy eyes.

She took a deep breath and the venting began.

"It's Hayden", she said. I figured. These 31 boys can suck the fun out of your day sometimes.

"What'd he do", I asked.

"We got in an argument last night because 31 is dangerous and his job is especially dangerous. And he thinks I'm being careless and like ugh. Basically I started playing around with his gun he keeps on him and it was on safety I checked. He got mad and was like 'you're acting like you're a stupid bitch' it just hurt I guess. Then that made me mad so I started to cuss him out", she said. Her tears finally started to come out.

"And then instead of spanking me last night he said wait till I get home from school today, he was gonna make me wish I never spoke, then he slept in the guest room and he was on the phone with some bitch all night and I just", she broke down again.

"Tati it's okay, it might've been his sister or cousin or just a friend and he was probably just mad. The spanking might be slight", I said with hope. Hayden praises the floor Tati walks on any other day so it was surprising to me he'd take such drastic measures.

"What if he doesn't want me anymore", she cried.

"I don't think so Tati, I broke Xander's laptop once because I was mad and you know they aren't cheap and he said he was gonna make my ass redder than a tomato and the next day when he was supposed to he didn't. He said he overreacted and even apologized... on the other hand he thinks I did it on accident but I broke that bitch on purpose", Hadley said trying to make her feel better. She failed.

"No one is taking anyone back", I assured.

We got to the school and caught Genni up on Tati's situation.

The whole day was pointless. All you ever heard about was 31's party.

Finally the bell rang for us to go to lunch. I met the girls and we all sat together with a few guys.

A new kid sits with us now , Luke, a dom in training.

He is newly friends with ,Isaiah, who's kinda our friend now.

I think Luke has a crush on me. He smiles at me all the time and laughs at all my corny jokes. He just gives off the vibe that he likes me.

"So that party", this kid Kyle said rubbing his hands together. Kyle was cute too, his curly hair and fit body, but he had a thing for one of my more distant friends Olivia. I also didn't find him attractive in that kind of way. Not that it would ever matter.

"What about it", me and Genni said.

"We've almost got it all under control, our mentors will be out so we're gonna have it at the warehouse", he said.

Oh no. That's Axels warehouse. Everything 31 owns is either in Axels name or one of his close friends like my girls doms. But Axel is in control of all of it. ESPECIALLY THE WAREHOUSE. It's where they train, meet, have their own parties, and do their daily work. he has a whole bunch of cameras all set up throughout the place where he can see everything from his phone. I know because he checks it like every two hours.

"Um Im pretty sure there are cameras like everywhere", I said. I was now debating this party. It's risky. If Axel knew I was there he'd think I was being a a terrible sub. Especially since he's the leader.

"Riley is gonna put a playback of the empty warehouse on repeat, she's good with cameras", he smiled. I have no clue who Riley is, but she better be great.

"I'd just be carful with that", I said shrugging my shoulders.

"We will", the boys said.

*after school*

Axel let Hadley come over for a couple hours because Xander isn't there.

I walked in the house to a note on the island.

chores for my baby

- clean your side of the room it's cluttered

- vacuum living room

- unload the dishwasher

- clean out the pool

*do it right the first time :*

"Oh my gosh", I yelled.

"What", Hadley laughed at me.

"I've got chores, you might as well go home", I said rolling my eyes. She rolled them back at me. Then her phone dinged.

"It's Xander, such a copy cat... I've got chores too", she says groaning.

"Alright see you tomorrow for the event", I winked.

"You're a dork", she said walking out the door and walking to her house.

It's almost Halloween which means it's almost Thanksgiving which means it's almost Christmas!!! So as I cleaned I started thinking about what's on my list.

I kinda wanted a dog because I get lonely. And I want my own car. I also want to wear what I want but that's out the question.

*after she finished cleaning*

I was sitting on the couch when Axel came in. He looked mad so I pretend not to see him so I wouldn't get the storm.

"Hey", he said dropping his coat on the coat rack near the front door.

"Hi", I smiled at him and peeked up from the back of the couch.

"It's safe, I'm fine", he laughed.

"Okay", I said getting up from the couch to give him a hug.

"I cleaned like you asked", I said pulling him into the kitchen and smiling really big to cheer him up.

"Thanks", he said dryly. My smile faded instantly.

He walked upstairs and I followed.

"Kalani. I said clean up your half of the room", he said before I got in there. Shit I forgot.

"I- I'm sorry I forgot", I said on the verge of crying.

"Don't ask to go or do anything anywhere this weekend you can't follow simple directions", he raised his voice at me.

"Okay damn, just because you had a bad day spent mean you have to take it out on me", I said throwing a timberland at him.

He dodged it and when he got up he looked madder than I've ever seen.

I didn't even bother saying sorry. I was mad too.

"I did everything else and the room isn't that dirty", I said to him.

"Come here Kalani", he said way too calmly but obviously steaming mad.

"No", I said running into the closet. He didn't even follow me. I peeked our the door and saw him going into his closet.

When he came out he had a paddle. Oh fuck.

"Kalani you have till the count of three to come out. If I have to come get you out you're getting spanked and you'll have no Christmas or phone and you will not hang out with your friends", he said.

"You won't", I said starting to cry.

"Wanna bet..... 1.... 2... t-", he starts counting.

I decided to give in and come out.

"Come here now", he said sternly.

"Axel I don't want a spanking", I begged.

He grabbed my arm and threw me over his lap. He ripped my leggings off and my underwear.

"Hey those were my favorite", I whined.

"I'll buy you knew ones. Now shut the fuck up", he said.

"Axel can you use your hand... please I'm begging you", the tears already started to flow out. I wasn't ready for the punishment that was about to come. I put my hand over my butt but that didn't last long at all. He roughly grabbed my hand and pinned it to my back.

"Count. And don't you dare call me Axel again till I say so. You wanna misbehave and throw shit at me like you're a spoiled brat sub.I'll treat you like one", he said coldly.

I cried, thrashed, and kicked through every hit. I've felt nothing more painful.

Once he was dont he didn't say anything to me. He just stormed out, still mad.

I didn't wanna do anything but cry and kill him. I picked up the phone and called the closest person that could be dealing with the same thing as me. Tati.

"I was uneasy about the party before but now, I think home is a better idea", I told Tati.

"Me too, I think something happened with 31", she said.

"Like what", I begged her to tell me the dirt.

"I heard Axel and Hayden on the phone and a couple other guys, someone cheated them out the money they were supposed to pay. That's why they are going out of town tomorrow but some part of the chasing was extended. Like the people who didn't pay had some company running underground and it's all a shit show", she spilled.

"I wish Axel told me this stuff", I whined.

"All he does is yell and at me and spank the shit out of me when I forget to clean a barely dirty room", I said bitterly.

"I feel you, I came home and Hayden was waiting for me there, with a hair brush. Have you ever been hit with a brush... the shit hurts", I think I once again have one upped my friends in a way that is not good.

"Axel took a paddle to my ass today, for a dirty room...", I said. She just made a shocked look. Too caught off guard for words.

"Yeah... I know but-", I was stopped mid sentence. I heard Axel coming upstairs.

"Tati I have to go Axel's coming", I said. I quickly threw my phone under the pillow with hopes he wouldn't take it away from me that way.

He walked in the room and took his shirt off and plopped of the bed next to me.

I grabbed the IPad we share and started playing temple run.

"What do you wanna watch", he said. His voice was deep and raspy. This made me think he went outside to smoke. I shifted a little closer to see if I could smell the faint stench on his skin. Yup. Mary J.

High or not high he acted pretty much the same. He usually only wanted to smoke with 31. But I guess today was one of those days.

"No", I said coldly.

"Babygirl I'm sorry for going so hard on you", he said putting his hand over the iPad messing me up.

"Okay", I whined and moved the iPad from under his huge hands.

"I brought you ice cream, talenti, double dark chocolate, your favorite right", he said to me. I wanted to give him kisses all over. But then I remembered the bruises on my ass.

"K. I'll get it later", I said going under the covers.

"Fine", I heard him say.

The rest of the night was me purposefully making Axel feel bad for spanking me tonight. The guilt will keep coming and he won't want to do it ever again.
