9. the party and the bust

The next morning I woke up on my own. Axel wasn't beside me either.

I grabbed my phone from his dresser and saw he had texted me.

Ax😒💞: im gone baby. me and some of 31 gotta go out of town for something's. don't worry about me ill be back around 4 ish on Sunday. be good.

Oh I'll be good alright. I only texted him back a very dry 'ok'.

This Friday night will be the best Friday night of my life.

I got in the shower and did my hair into a half up half down situation. I dressed in jeans blue jeans and a baby blue tee shirt and added basic white converses. High tops of course.

** @ school **

"Are you ready for tonight ladies", Isaiah asked as I walked into school with the girls. His eyebrow was arched all the way to his hairline.

"Who's hosting this party anyway", I asked. I can't help but feel a little anxious about it all. If Axel found out. Everyone is toast.

"Me, Gavin, a couple other people", he said.

Gavin? The name sounds so familiar. I can't remember if  Axel was cussing someone out named Gavin or what. But he had mentioned him being one of the best trainees I think. And it makes me feel like he could be a trouble maker of some sort.

The rest of the day was filled with random questions from people I didn't even know. Some how the party became all of our party. Not just Isaiah and that Gavin kid.

**skip the school day**

I got home and threw off my book bag full of a whole bunch of shit.

I heard a knock at the door and ran downstairs to answer it.

It was my three girls of course.

"Alright bitches, getting ready for an insane amount of fun and party time is a go", Tati said running upstairs to one of the big ass guest bedrooms.

"Hadley and I call this one", Tati yelled.

Leaving me and Genni to the one downstairs. That's basically how we broke off most of the time. We were all so close but also had our own individual relationships with each other. Genni and I were like besties individually too. Yet, when I first met her I hated her.

"Did you tell Kolby about you going to a party", I asked prepping my face with light make up.

"Um no. Kolby would ring me a new one. I don't know why you guys think he's so easy on me", she said with a slight attitude in her voice. Oh my gosh. Here she goes again, a tangent is coming.

"Sorry we just assumed seeing that he praises the ground you walk on", I said.

"That means nothing. He loves me. Sure. But that doesn't mean he doesn't get hard on me. I'm no different than any of you guys. Stop treating me like it", she said irritated.

Like omg.... you say one wrong thing.

We basically got ready in about 2 hours time. Taking breaks in between picking out the best outfit possible.

We were all sitting at the kitchen table when I started to feel guilty while texting Axel.

"Guys, what if Axel finds out..", I said nervously.

"If you keep your mouth shut he won't", Tati threatened.

"You guys think you know him but you don't.. He literally knows everything all the time. Once I tried to lie to him and I had it all covered up because I went to go study with this boy I knew he wouldnt have let me go and then he found out because somebody saw us and told him", I said.

"Lani that almost means nothing. Just because he found out because a couple people were snooping around does not mean that he's going to find out about this. We only invited teens no team is going to tell Axel we're having a party", Hadley said, but I could tell she was nervous too.

We basically sat around and watch TV until 7 o'clock came around. Then we all got in Tati's jeep and headed to the warehouse.

I was pretty silent. I kept just trying to think about having a good time and enjoying myself. I told Axel we were hanging out so he wouldn't get suspicious of why I wasn't texting back.

Once we got there we of course had to set up with them. I really didn't want to but ofc I was forced to.

Then Music was blaring and there were about 10 boys helping Isaiah talking loud as hell in the back. The ones that had subs brought them as well. Although they weren't half as loud.

"Everyone shut the fuck up my dom is calling", I said nervous.

"Man.. fuck your dom. We're not shutting up. So lemme tell you and his bitch ass to suck me", this stupid kid with a 31 trainee sweatshirt on.

I had had enough. I needed respect around here. At first I was a little ashamed to have Axel as my dom. But if he wants to play that game we can.

"Alright lemme tell Axel that you want him to what... oh okay suck him", I said answering the phone. And putting it on speaker. They shut the fuck up to see if was really him.

"Lani", he said. His voice was very distinct. It sends shivers down anyone's spine. They knew it was him instantly.

He started mouthing sorrys and 'please donts' at me. I rolled my eyes and put Axel on mute.

"Next time show us ladies a little respect. Trainees", I said rolling my eyes.

Shit I might as well be a trainee. But still.

I took him off speaker and went into another room.

"Hi Axel", I said in a monotone voice. I wasn't still mad at him but he doesn't know that.

"Babygirl you can't still be mad", he said exhausted.

"We're playing the wii, whats up", I said impatiently.

"Just checking to make sure you're okay", he said now with an attitude.

"Goodbye. Be good. Stay safe, love" , he said.

"Okay bye bye love you", I said. It just slipped out. I gasped just slightly and covered my mouth and my eyes might as well have popped out my head.

"I love you too buttercup, close your mouth", and he hung up the phone.

Oh god. Now I really feel guilty....

Nope. Think about the bruised ass you have. Don't feel guilty. I keep telling myself this until it clicks.

Soon I heard the ding dong of the door bell. Shit the party is starting.

About an hour into the party people really started showing up. Bringing beer, vodka, weed, all that shit. No crack or hard drugs. We don't fuck with that.

"Hey baby", that kid who likes me all the way from elementary school said to me. How did he get in. Are they just letting anyone in. Justin is his name I think.

"Justinnnnnn", I dragged it out trying to be nice. He was obviously a little tipsy.

"Where is your dom", I said as he tried to be all over me. Man he is cute I will say. But it's wrong.

"She's out of town on bank business", he yelled over the loud music. Holding my hand. I let him. I'm just being friendly.

Axel down the same thing.

"Wanna talk outside", he said pointing to the pool through the screen door. I nodded.

It's my night to just let go. What's the worse that could happen.

"Smoke", he asked pulling a joint out his pocket. I hesitated. Axel never lets me take not even one hit of his blunt. I know he wouldn't like it.

There are a lot of things going on that he wouldn't like. But it's okay. He won't find out.

"Sure just a few hits, I've never been high before", I smiled like a dork.

"Well here lemme teach you", he said pulling out the lighter.

"Mkay so I'll put this here in between my lips", he said. I took a look at them. Boy were they pink and plump. I snapped my focus back to him.

"And then I'm gonna light it", he said and did. Then he just took a big inhale and blew it out. His lips making an O and blowing it out on my face.

I giggled just a little. It felt wrong but right.

"Let me have a go", I said. I tried inhaling and I almost threw up from coughing so hard.

"It's okay you have baby lungs you'll get used to it", he said rubbing my back and pulling me a little closer to him.

"Justin", I asked.

"What do you think would happened if I kissed you", I blurted out. I may have had a few drinks.

"I don't know", he smiled like a goof.

I gave him a little peck on the lips. And walked away. Nothing big but just there.

He got up and ran right after me.

The music was blaring and everyone looked to be having fun.

He grabbed my waist and pulled me really close to him.

"Woah what was that", he said smiling at me and I smiled back. Shrugging my shoulders.

I must not have heard how the chatter had gone much quieter and the YELLING in the background.

Until I head.

"She's here", by a very masculine older tone. That was definitely Xander. Oh shit.

I pushed Justin off of me but it was too late. Axel had already seen me at the party. But at least he didn't see me kiss him ever so lightly.

It was a friend kiss just to see if I liked it. It was okay. But I liked Axels the most.

"Everyone you've got 30 seconds before I let Kenny to use his toys", he said referring to Tati's dom. The ring leader of the gun compartment of 31.

"My boys, keep your asses in here", he said as he saw some trainees try and scurry out.

He roughly grabbed me by the arm and pulled me dangerously close.

"I will deal with you later, go to my office... NOW", he yelled at me. I front of all these trainees doms and subs.

I was pacing in his office. I could hear him calling them idiots. Irresponsible. Talking about how they will wish they were dead. Starting with 4 to 7 AM deadly workouts everyday. And strict grade expectations. He kept talking about how we all could've gotten killed or let in another gang into the warehouse. Along with how people could've stolen.

Then he said this, which made my heart flutter just a little, I still knew I had it cut out for me when we get home.

"You boys dare put my girl in that kind of danger, making her vulnerable", he spat at them.

"Lani, move your head from the door", Hadley said. Did I forget to mention we were all sent up here. There was about 8 of us. Us main 4 and 4 other girls of some doms that work in 31.

"Why I'm just listening", I whined back.

"What's he sayin", a girl that I don't know wondered.

"It doesn't sound good, no other leader is talking", I said.

He dismissed them and we heard footsteps coming up. I gulped. He opened the door. Veins popping out of his arms. He looked so sexy.

"Ladies your doms are downstairs. Enjoy what you deserve", he said weirdly calm. Oh god.

We began to walk out.

"Um no.. You four sit.", he said talking to me and the girls.

"BOYS", he yelled. My heart started to quicken. Are we doing like a group punishment session. Because I rather not.

Each one of them looked at us angrily with disappointment flickering through their eyes.

"Baby I'm s-", Genni started. Oh god. Kolby stopped her mid sentence.

"Shut the fuck up Genevieve", he said to her. Wow rude. I could tell it hurt her. But what could I do.

"You girls allowed this", Axel asked. Everyone started spewing their excuses. I stayed quiet with my head down.

"Doll face it's not nap time", Kenny said to me. I just wanted to snap his neck.

All the punishments I was about to get was flooding my head. I knew it was a bad idea. I knew it.

"Have anything to say Lani", Axel asked.

"Well I -", I started. And boom I threw up. Right on the floor. I front of all of them.

"Oh my fucking god. Are you fucking serious", Axel said.

He's so mad, I thought to myself. The tears started to brim in my eyes. And the waterworks erupted.

"Take your subs home, deal with them properly. Do NOT be soft. I'm not tolerating any of this shit. I'll deal with her just not now. Looks like mine can't hold her alcohol", he said getting a paper towel and wiping it up.

They all left. I looked up at him with glossy puppy dog eyes.

"I'm sorry", I cried.

"I didn't wanna do it, they told me I was being boring baby. I knew I shouldn't have, please don't be so mad at me please", I begged and begged.

He didn't say anything back. That's scarier than him not yelling at me.

"YELL AT ME PLEASE", I screamed at him.

"Lani, you're supposed to be my little leader, my girl, I'm so sick with you right now", he said doing work at his computer.

He wouldn't even look at me.

"Sir, can we please go home", I was in no position to be asking for things but I thought if I asked like he wants me to he will not be so mad.

He grabbed his laptop and keys and walked out. I just followed.

The car ride was silent.

He was disappointed with me. The feeling was unbearable.

I got home took a shower and freshened myself up. I shaved of course. I felt like I knew how to get him not to be so angry.

I went in the red drawer and nothing was in it.

Is he getting rid of me. My heart sank.

"You won't be needing anything from there for a while Kailani", he said using my government name.

I sighed. And got into the bed with him.

He wasn't angry enough to not sleep in the same bed as me. So that's a win.

I scored closer to him and took his phone out of his hand gently.

"Baby", I said looking at him puppy dog eyes.

"Stop it", he said resting his hand on my butt.

"No", I said putting my head to his neck.

He moaned just a little.

Then instantly as if something clicked he picked me up and crashed his lips into mine.

Our tongues fighting for dominance. Of course I lost. But the fight was fun. He departed his lips from mine. Looked me straight into the eyes and John cena me to the bed.

"Go to bed. I'm still mad at you", he said trying to get himself together.
