The buses stopped for the first time near a river. The breakfast was arranged in a hotel near the river bank. The calming sound of water flowing refreshes everyone's mind. Students were more interested in clicking the pictures of the view instead of having their breakfast in peace.

"Would you join your friends?" Kaif asked her, when they were leaving the bus.

"No" She shook her head and he didn't ask her to think again because he himself didn't like the way her friends treated her. He was in fact mad at her friends for abandoning her.

Nataliya smiled at him before going with the girl who had messaged her earlier. She was in his focus all the time. He was relieved to see her smiling with her fellows. She was doing everything she was supposed to do on a trip.

She had breakfast with her other classmates. Everyone was talking and enjoying the little time they had to spend at this beautiful place. She also took part in every conversation excitedly and tried her best to enjoy.

At the end, Zara came to her.

"You could have come to us" She asked her unhappily. Her tone clearly showed her friends didn't like her reaction.

"I didn't want Zara!" She said plainly.

"Why?" Zara asked.

"You guys literally left me. You people didn't leave each other but me only. It shows everything. It's enough for me to really understand the situation. Please enjoy your time and let me enjoy mine in peace" She said adamantly before leaving.

She was clicking a picture with her classmates when she tripped and fell on a big rock.

Kaif was standing with a few boys, busy in talking but his eyes were fixed in her direction who was posing for the pictures. Then she lost her balance and fell on the rock.

Kaif left the conversation in the middle and rushed to her uncontrollably. He came near to her and forwarded his hand in the air for her to grasp it.

"Are you okay?" He asked worriedly. His tone was soft and laced with concern which diverted everyone's attention to him. It was a sight to see, the arrogant professor was speaking softly.

The girls were already holding her for help but out of nowhere their professor came into the site worriedly. Nataliya hurriedly grabbed the helping hand of her friend and stood straight on her feet.

"Yeah. Yeah. I'm fine" She muttered instantly before he could lean down, sat on his knees and start inspecting her toe ignoring everyone's presence.

"Sir! She is fine" A girl said to him. She was afraid he was going to scold them for being careless.

Sir was now embarrassed of his eagerness. They weren't alone, at their home but among his students and colleagues and he was behaving wired.

He changed his tone in seconds.

"If you guys can't take care of yourself then why are you standing here on the rocks. It can be dangerous. What if she had gotten hurt. Haven't I already told you people to stay away from the river bank" He snapped at the group of girls including his wife.

"Are you blind Madam!" Nataliya wanted to laugh at his fake anger but she couldn't otherwise he would have scolded her in real.

"Sorry Sir! We were just taking pictures! I am fine" Nataliya muttered to him to not create a scene in front of everyone.

"Make sure to take care of yourself. I don't want anyone to get hurt. I don't want to be held answerable in front of the principal and your parents" He tried to name his worries so that no one misunderstood the situation.

He was just being a teacher, nothing else. Simple.

The girls silently nodded at him.

"And you miss! You better be in your sane mind" He warned Nataliya before taking a leave.

"It's okay Kaif! Don't get angry at them. Let them enjoy today" Another professor tried to cool him down.

"Girne parhne se koi enjoy nahi karta Imad Sahab" He sneered and everyone around him started laughing so did Professor Imad.

(No one enjoys falling down)

"Waseet also fell down but sir didn't run to help him as he ran to you" A mean girl tried to make a scene and smirked meaningfully at her.

"Because he isn't a girl. We girls get the privilege" Nataliya smiled at her proudly.

"Oh really. It doesn't look like" Her smile didn't disappear.

"Hey Sania! Don't make a scene please. He is our teacher. Don't be disrespectful" Nataliya said to her.

"I wished he didn't come with us. He is too strict" Another girl complained unhappily.

"Right! He is very rude. I hate him" Nataliya nodded at her and said eagerly to show her dislike. Why put anyone in doubt?

"Whatever" Sania rolled her eyes at her before leaving them.

"Bitch" Nataliya muttered under her breath.

After having breakfast, the journey continued through the lush mountains of the beautiful north. They were travelling for an eternity now. It was near 12 am when they reached their destination, a beautiful waterfall in a small forest. Through the forest, they had to hike the mountain to reach the meadow at the top. Everyone was divided into groups so that no one gets lost in the vastness.

Nataliya joined the group of boys who had only one girl, who was the girlfriend of one of the boys and the second reason to join them was her rude professor who was eyeing her to join them.

It's going to be fun, She thought excitedly after they started to walk through the forest after spending some time at the waterfall.

The fresh air left a calming effect on Nataliya's mind. She looked at Kaif and gave him a toothy smile.

"It's so beautiful" She said looking around.

"Yes, very very beautiful" Kaif said gazing at her face.

She was busy watching around so didn't realize his focus on herself but when he averted her gaze at him she found him staring at her.

"The place" She added to clear her doubt. He couldn't compliment her. Could he? But he did in the morning also. Her mind reminded her.

"And you" He nodded seriously.

"Are you drunk?" She whispered to him with widened eyes.

"Shut up you idiot" He looked away and released a sigh to calm himself down. This girl knew exactly how to make him mad in just a few seconds. No one else had this talent but her.

"Shut up" She mimicked him.

The boys were walking at the front and Nataliya and Kaif were at the end, behind the couple who were busy enjoying their time together.

"Do you think they are in a real relationship?" After a silence of a few minutes, Nataliya whispered to him, looking at the couple walking ahead.

"No" He whispered confidently.

"Why?" They were talking in low voices.

"If he was really in a relationship with her he would have never tagged her along in a group of men. He doesn't respect her. He is just passing his time and she probably knows it or doing the same with him!" He analyzed the situation.

"We are also together and you asked me to come with you" She questioned his logic.

"Yes, because she was the only girl in the group that's why I called you to come otherwise I was satisfied to leave you with Mirha's group. They are sensible girls" He took the name of the girl she was with earlier.

"Very thoughtful" She muttered looking straight where the couple was now holding hands.

"What are they doing. Can't you stop them?" She muttered to him.

"No, I can't. They are adults. They know what they are doing. It's none of our business. Forget them. Just look around. We don't get to see such places in the city" He tried to divert her attention.

"Yes. Miti dalo in par. I am really enjoying it. Can't we go to another place like that but only us, like only me and you" She mumbled to him excitedly.

(Forget them)

"You want to go on a honeymoon?" He decided to tease her just like she teased him all day.

"Eh! What's that?" It was so difficult for her to hide her smile because she wasn't expecting him to say that. He was becoming more shameless nowadays.

"I don't believe one percent that you don't know what it is. Stop being a child. You are an adult now" He minded.

"I am a child" She struck her tongue out.

"Stop making me feel like a criminal who has married a child" He said unhappily.

"Alright sir! Why are you fuming. I just said that we should go somewhere. How does that make you a criminal. Ajeeb" She mumbled, clenching her teeth.

"So you want to go on a honeymoon then?" He repeated again to tease her further. The look on her face was making him laugh.

"When did I say that" She slapped his arm lightly.

"You just said that" He smiled a little.

"Liar" She pressed her hand on her mouth to stop her smile.

"So you don't want to go. Fine otherwise I thought to plan it!" He shrugged his shoulders.

"Now when did I say that" She didn't know how to put some sense into his head.

"That's the problem ma'am! You don't say anything and it's necessary to communicate" He told her seriously this time.

"Haha. Look who is talking about communication. I am the one who actually speaks more" She pointed at herself in full mood to argue with him regardless of their surroundings.

"And speaks utter nonsense" He corrected her.

"I hate you and I won't talk to you ever again" She crossed her arms on the chest and said angrily.

"I will see how long you can resist me" He smirked at her. The teasing smile suited his sharp facial features. He wasn't looking like the usual composed Kaif.

"You are looking very ugly right now" She broke the promise the very next second.

"You can't even shut your mouth for a few seconds"

She chose silence this time and just looked around the beautiful scenery of nature. The hike drained her a lot. She was hyperventilating just at the start. She covered the distance with difficulty. She was having shortness of breath which made him worried and he made up his mind to take her hospital tomorrow for her routine tests.

At last when they reached the top, all the difficulty was worth it. The meadow was extremely beautiful. The thick white clouds were at the top of their heads in the clear sky. The shade of blue sky they saw there in the mountains wasn't ever seen by them in the city. The polluted air in the city never gave them a chance to see the actual beautiful sky.

People were busy taking pictures. She also took out her cell phone and started clicking pictures of the scenery. She found him sitting on a rock, watching around. She averted her cell phone in his direction and started taking his candid pictures. He looked calm and as usual very handsome.

Itna handsome dikhne par tax lagna chahie, She smiled looking at the pictures and realized they don't have a single picture together after their nikkah.

"Sir! One picture please" She handed her camera to her classmate and asked him to click her pictures with the professor.

"Today you aren't scolding me. So I thought to save this historic moment by clicking a picture with my most strict teacher" She gave him a toothy smile and everyone around them laughed at her bravery.

"Exactly that's why you get scolded roll no. Thirty" He glared at her, standing next to her for the picture.

"As you say sir!" She chuckled, forgetting the promise she made to him that she won't talk to him.

They stood next to each other creating a safe distance and looked into the camera. He smiled a little whereas her lips curled into a big smile. For everyone else it was a harmless picture of a student with her professor but for them it was their second photo together after the marriage.

The pictures she had seen thousands of times. In which she was sitting in a simple white suit. Her hair and shoulders were covered in a fancy red dupatta which belonged to Shabnam. She had done no makeup, her eyes filled with grief. Next to her was sitting her groom, dressed in white shalwar qameez. He was looking into the camera seriously.

These pictures were taken at the most painful time of their lives but they were also the beginning of a new journey.

A journey to find love, care and comfort.

"Beautiful" Nataliya uttered happily looking at the pictures.

"Yes, very beautiful" Kaif murmured to her.

Her eyes blinked rapidly in nervousness. She looked up at him, blush creeping on her cheeks. She bit her lips to hide her nervous smile.

When did she ever thought he would compliment her in the presence of everyone.

"Thank you" Her lips finally curled up into a beautiful smile but she couldn't gather the courage to look into his eyes.

That sparked with an unknown intensity.
