I slammed the door to my bedroom shut and started pacing. I clenched my hands into fists and punched the headboard of my bed. I quickly regretted it. I bit my lip keeping myself from crying out. I looked at my hand, my knuckles where red and the middle one had a cut on it. I groaned and threw my pillow at the wall.

Fuck. Why did he have to be like that? Why did I like him? Why the fuck should I even care? I stopped pacing and stood in front of the mirror. I looked at myself. Brown shoulder length hair and green eyes. My hand was throbbing and my eyes were watering. Pathetic. I was pathetic for having feelings for my friend's adult brother. I vowed to myself that I would not care about Niko anymore.

If he wanted to be with someone else then so be it. But I would forget him and I wouldn't feel for him anymore I vowed to myself. My hand was numb and I took that as my cue to get some ice. I took a deep breath as I opened the door and walked down the hallway to the kitchen. Brad was the only one sitting at the table when I turned the corner. He looked up at me and then at my hand which was the color of a tomato.

"What did you do?",he laughed and quickly walked into the kitchen. He came out with a rag and a bag of ice. He wrapped the ice in the rag and I put it gently on my hand. I grabbed it and closed my eyes as it cooled my hand.

"Well?",he said and I opened my eyes.

"I punched my headboard",I said and he bursted out laughing.

"Its not funny",I said after he stopped, tears in his eyes and everything. He laughed again and I pressed the ice to his face.

"OK.. ok wow that's cold",he said backing up.

I smiled at him and he smiled back.

"Um thanks for you know for the thing at breakfast",he muttered.

I blushed and nodded.

"I mean if I hadn't step up you probably would have beaten him up.....which now that I think about it, its not a bad thing.",I said laughing. He laughed again and stepped forward. He gave me a big warm hug and I wrapped my good hand around him. He pulled back and smiled his blue eyes twinkling.

"Alright well I better go....Angie went to work and her brother is in his room",he said and walked out giving me one more smile.

I sighed and looked around. The dishes had been cleared from the table but there was a piece of paper next to the vase. I picked it up. It was for me.

I folded the paper and threw it in the trash. As I walked to the living room Niko's door opened. I quickly sat on the couch and turned on the TV. I felt the other side of the couch dip and I willed myself not to look at him. I clicked through the channels and finally settled on the Jerry Springer show. I glanced at the clock 2 pm. Still plenty of time before I had to get ready. I put the remote on the coffee table and settled back into the couch. After a few minutes of watching the show my eyes began to flutter close. I struggled to keep them open and finally I gave up.

I woke up in my bed. My bed? I remembered falling asleep on the couch next to Niko. Niko! He must of brought me here. As in he picked me up with his hands. As in I had been in his arms. I shook my head trying to shake the image of me in Niko's arms.

I glanced at the clock. Shit. It said 7:53. I quickly got up and ran to the bathroom to take a shower. I opened the door quickly and stepped in. Niko was in the shower. Naked. I screamed. He looked at me and quickly pulled the shower curtain. I quickly stepped out into the hallway slamming the door shut. OMFG!!!! I hadn't seen his thing. Thank God. I had only seen his butt. I rubbed my eyes and quickly walked to Angie's room and got in the shower. I cleaned and scrubbed myself till I was satisfied and then stepped out. I wrapped one of the towels around myself and walked out of the bathroom and into the hallway.

The bathroom door was opened as I stepped into my room. Shit. Niko was in there. He looked up as I walked in his eyes stopping on the towel. I saw him take a swallow his Adam's apple bobbing.

"What are you doing here?",I asked as my eyes wandered to the clock 8:27. I had to hurry.

"Um I just wanted to see if um...you were ok?"he said standing up.

"Um yeah I'm fine...",I said back.

He opened his mouth but then closed it.

"Hey um sorry I don't want to be rude but I have to get ready so if you could um..go",I said. He stared at me for a few seconds and then nodded.

"Um yeah...ok yeah",he said and started walking to the door. I stepped to the side. The wrong side.

Niko bumped into me and I brought up hand to his arm to steady myself. The towel opened and fell to the floor. Niko gasped. But he didn't turn away. He kept staring.
