Wait, She’s a Billionaire ( Sheena Lawson )
Chapter 171
1/2
The incident at the Freeman mansion still haunted Erin. Initially, she did not expect to lose, which was why she confidently made the bet. Unfortunately for her, she had lost, and fear soon consumed her.
The last time, Erin had only embarrassed herself in front of the servants in the Freeman mansion, and they were all bound by the confidentiality agreements. Hence, she could still throw a fit there without any repercussions.
After all, who would dare to criticize her in that situation?
Nonetheless, the circumstances were different now. How would she ever maintain her status in upperâclass society if she were to kneel and kowtow to Sheena in front of so many outsiders?
There was no way she would kneel!
Erin hid behind Faye, unwillingly defending herself, âI was just joking. Why are you taking it so seriously?â
With hands in his pockets, Skye taunted, âYou lost the bet, and now youâre a sore loser. Who would have thought the Freeman family were a bunch of shameless creatures.â
Faye was utterly confused by the scolding. After asking Erin, she learned about her bet with Sheena and tried to smooth things over, persuading Sheena, âSheena, we should live and let live. Erin is still young. How could a childâs playful joke count? Besides, arenât you just humiliating her by doing this?â
Sheena countered with a smile, saying, âIf the bet was in your favor, would you let go of the chance to humiliate me?â
Of course not!
Since their divorce, Faye thought Sheena did not respect her as her former motherâinâlaw, and she dreamed of giving her a piece of her mind!
However, she could not say that aloud.
With a gentle smile, Faye was about to speak, but Erin interrupted, âHow can you compare the two? Iâm the heiress of the Freeman family! What are you? Of course, my reputation is more important than yours!â
With that, Sheenaâs expression darkened completely.
âIf you dare to bet, you must be willing to accept the consequences of losing. Madam Freeman, you keep saying that Ms. Freeman is still a child, but have you forgotten that sheâs already an adult? Sheâs accountable for the words she says!â
Sarah, who had stepped down from the stage, chimed in. She approached and continued the argument, âIf Ms. Freeman doesnât honor the bet and tries to back out, her reputation in the upperâclass society might suffer quite a blow.â
âThis is none of your business!â Erin tugged at Fayeâs arm, glaring at Sarah.

Faye glanced at both Sheena and Sarah, feeling suspicious. âMs. Peterson, youâre taking her side right off the bat. Do you know each other well?â.
âIâm merely stating a fact,â replied Sarah. She did not look at Sheena, and both of them were like strangers.
Faye briefly examined the two but did not dwell on it.
Erin, however, flew into a rage, screaming, âI donât care! The previous bet doesnât count! Iâll never bow down to you, bitch!â
With that, she pushed past Skye, determined to leave the venue.
Sheenaâs eyes flickered coldly, saying, âYou wonât have a say in this.â
Before Erin could react, a sudden pain struck the back of her knees.
âAh!â
Erin lost her balance and fell on all fours before Sheena.
Skye and Sarah burst into laughter.
Erinâs posture was utterly embarrassing! If she had simply kneeled and kowtowed as she should, perhaps she would not be in such a sorry state.
Sheena looked at Erin on the floor, smirking. âGood girl, youâre so obedient! Remember this next time, and donât take bets lightly.â
Erin struggled to get up from the ground, but the pain in her knee left her unable to exert any force. Her hands slipped, causing her to kneel again.
Skye was nearly doubled over in laughter. Unfortunately, most attendees had left the scene, leaving only a few witnesses to Erinâs embarrassing moment. Nevertheless, they were afraid to offend the Freeman family and only dared to stifle their laughter.
Erin was both embarrassed and furious. âHow dare you ambush me?!â
