Wait, She’s a Billionaire ( Sheena Lawson )
Chapter 19
Sheena held the car keys and tried unlocking each car one by one, from one floor after another. Finally, after twenty minutes, she found her new car.
Looking at the emerald green paint, she clicked her tongue in appreciation. Though the style was a bit outdated, it was practical and durable, and the color was stylish!
She loved it and could not wait to try out her new car.
Suddenly, she heard a womanâs mocking voice behind her.
âWell, well, well. If it isnât our fabulous Ms. Sheena. What car are you driving?â
Sue approached her with a sneer. Upon seeing Sheenaâs car, she pouted disdainfully.
âOh my, is this your car? A Volkswagen Santana? With your position, why not treat yourself to a better car?â
Sheena smiled, unfazed. âA car is just a means to commute. Iâm just being practical.â
Sue rolled her eyes.
Practical or not was just an excuse. She was probably just poor.
In an instant, her vanity soared, compensating for all the humiliation she endured at Sheenaâs hands in the morning.
At least this bitch was poorer than her!
She fluffed her wavy curls and linked arms with Sheena. âMs. Sheena, I just got a new car recently. Would you mind taking a look at it for me?â
Without even waiting for Sheenaâs response, she pulled her toward a nearby parking spot. Sheena turned her head to see a convertible BMW Z4. At a glance, it seemed quite stylish, but it was not very practical for daily commute. In fact, it was definitely for her to show off.
Sue noticed that Sheena only glanced briefly and withdrew her gaze, pretending to look down at it. So, she snorted and taunted, âMs. Sheena, I guess you havenât seen this type of sports car before, have you? This is the latest BMW Z70, which costs a whopping 200,000 dollars just for the bare vehicle. I had to spend a fortune to buy it.â
Sheena frowned upon hearing Sueâs words.
How could that car possibly be a Z70?
Sue noticed her expression and thought her words had hit a nerve, feeling quite pleased with herself.
âIâm just saying, as the talent manager, you should avoid looking so shabby. Our entertainment company often hosts celebrities who might visit, and your lowâclass car
wouldnât do any good for Angleâs image.â
âHeh,â Sheena chuckled coldly, shaking her head. She had light makeup on that day, which made her look incredibly captivating when she smiled.
Sue became defensive. âWhat are you laughing at?â
âIâm laughing at your stupidity. You canât even tell the difference between a Z4, and a 770, yet youâre here showing off.â
Sue looked puzzled, staring at Sheena.
Sheena walked to the back of her BMW, pulling Sueâs hand, and wiping the exhaust pipe with it.
âWhat are you doing?â
Sheena raised Sueâs hand, saying, âTake a good look. The dirt on this exhaust pipe is old, not fresh. The color is different.â
Sue quickly wiped her hand clean with a tissue, not believing what she had heard. âWhat are you trying to say?â
Sheena sneered and explained, âYou really are clueless. This car is not a Z70. Itâs an old Z4 from three years ago, and itâs a used car with the lowest configuration. At most, itâs worth 55,000 dollars. If you donât believe me, find a professional used car appraiser to confirm it.â Sueâs eyes widened in shock, but she still shook her head. âImpossible! Thereâs no way this could be a used Z4! Youâre just jealous and trying to discredit my car. Did you really think Iâd fall for that?â
Despite all the evidence, Sue still thought Sheena was making up stories, proving that she was beyond help.
âSo, if I understand correctly, you didnât buy this car, did you?â Sheena caught on quickly and asked, âSue, which executive are you sleeping with?â
Sueâs face turned pale instantly, and she pushed Sheena away indignantly. âI donât understand what youâre talking about! Youâre ridiculous!â
Then, she quickly drove away.
Watching Sueâs hasty departure, Sheena became even more convinced that her guess was correct. If there was such a rotten highâlevel executive in the company and she managed to expose their identity, they would definitely have to face dire consequences.
Sheena returned to her little Volkswagen Santana.
As she opened the car door slightly, a pair of hands suddenly pressed against the door, and a familiar deep and icy voice came from behind her.
âWhy didnât he buy you a better car?â
