Wait, She’s a Billionaire ( Sheena Lawson )
Chapter 759

Sheena was getting annoyed.
âWhose mess is this? Is this your problem or mine? If you donât get more involved, Iâll have you taken away by the Zimmer familyâs people tonight!â
âDonât! Iâm sorry,â Skye replied, using a tissue to wipe off the water stains on his clothes.
Then, he reluctantly fixed his messy hair and stood up.
Sheena continued to scold him, âHurry up and come open the door.â
âComing, coming!â
The three of them arrived at the surveillance room together.
Based on Skyeâs recollection, the staff in the control room pulled up all the footage from when Skye entered the private room.
They played it at ten times the speed, scrutinizing every moment for anything unusual.
As long as Skye was innocent, the person taking the pictures must have taken him out of the bar, leaving some traces behind.
Skye had drunk too much, and the rapidly playing surveillance footage from multiple cameras, capturing a bustling crowd, made his head spin. He felt drowsy but forced himself to stay conscious, fearing another round of punishment.
Occasionally, Skye would discreetly turn his head, carefully observing Elliot beside him. He noticed Elliotâs sharp gaze, his obsidian eyes scanning through the dozen surveillance videos without a hint of fatigue.
Skye found it hard to believe.
In such a fastâpaced playback of multiple surveillance videos, could Elliot truly spot any subtle clues by himself?
However, just as Skye was contemplating, Elliot called for a pause.
He narrowed his eyes, directing the staff, âRewind⦠Rewind again.â
The surveillance footage capturing Room 3805 and the adjacent corridor had a gap in the timeline from 7.00 a.m. to 7.30 a.m. this morning. Moreover, the displayed time skipped from exactly 7.00 a.m.
to 7.31 a.m.
In contrast, the timestamps on the other dozen cameras remained normal, showing no unusual exits from the main entrance between 7.00 a.m. and 7.30 a.m.
Sheena had an inkling of Elliotâs suspicion.

âThey must have used the staff corridor. Thereâs no surveillance there.â
Elliot nodded and immediately called Lionel, saying, âFocus on checking, the surveillance of nearby hotels after 7.00 am.â
After hanging up, he turned to the bar staff, âThe surveillance has been tampered with. Besides us, who else visited this control room today?â
The control room staff, Shane Craig, looked troubled.
âMr. Jenkins, the access records for the control room are confidential, just like your visit today. Weâre not allowed to disclose this to anyone.â
Elliot did not mince words and took out the National Investigation Bureauâs investigation warrant from his pocket, his gaze piercing and cold.
âThis is the National Investigation Bureauâs warrant. If you donât tell us everything, I suspect youâve taken bribes, deliberately concealing information. I might need to take you back to the National Investigation Bureau.â
âBut⦠Mr. Jenkinsâ¦â Shane was in a panic.
âHave you ever spent a night at the National Investigation Bureau? If interested, I can arrange a special cozy room for you today.â
His seemingly casual words carried a veiled threat, making Shane tremble, his legs shaking.
âMr. Jenkins, I was wrong! I did take some money!â
Trembling, Shane took a bank card from his pocket and placed it on the table.
âThis is the thirtyâthousandâdollar hush money. I havenât touched a penny. I guess I wonât have the privilege to use it, and Iâm willing to turn myself in!â
Elliotâs stern expression did not waver as he stared at Shane, asking, âWho was it?â
âIt was⦠Bradley, the heir of the Grande family. He came alone this morning, claiming a valuable item was lost and wanted to check the surveillance!â
Upon hearing this, Skye exploded, âDamn it! Bradley, that bastard! Iâve treated him well, yet he dares to plot against me like this!â
He was furious, ready to flip tables and smash chairs right there.
