My Brothers Possessive Best Friend 22

My Brothers Possessive Best Friend

Running down the stairs i bumped into Blake at the bottom. “Off out running?”

“Yeah.” I said. Trying to keep the conversation short so I could get out of the door quicker.

“But that’s the second time today. And you went three times yesterday. You’re going to burn yourself out and end up back in the hospital Lacey.” His face was laced with concern. So was everyone else’s when they’d come into the hallway hearing mine and Blake’s conversation.

“I’ll be fine, honest.”

“You’ve barely been out of hospital 2 weeks sweetie you need to do rest.”

“I don’t need to do anything!” They all winced at my tone. “I’ll do what I want to and that’s final.” And with that I put my earphones in and ran out of the door not looking back.

They all sat in the kitchen, worried out of their heads for Lacey’s health.

“She’s going to end up back there. She’s already torn her stitches twice and needed to go back to get them touched up. She thinks that no one knows but they called me.” Blake ran a hand through his hair. “I just don’t know what to do.”

Logan came through the back door with a smile stretching from ear to ear. “Where is she?”

“Running.” Ruby muttered.

“Good.” Everyone looked in Logan’s direction puzzled and that’s when he sat down and told them all his plan.

Lacey’s Pov

Getting back in I couldn’t hear a single noise coming from anywhere in the house. I headed up the stairs towards my bedroom and noticed that my light was on. Slowly opening the door I saw Logan sitting on the bed looking through a load of photo’s.

“What are you doing with my photo’s?” I asked.

He looked up and smiled at me. “They’re not your photos.” Looking at him confused he tapped the spot next to him on the bed. Sitting next to him I picked a couple of them up.

“I don’t get it. Who are these people?” I asked when I went through a couple of them not knowing who any of them were.

“Sometimes I feel like you don’t know me at all.” He mockingly gasped and put his arm around my shoulder. One hand holding a photo and the other covering it up. “If there was one thing that you had to know about my family, what would it be?” I was silent was a moment and gasped, feeling crappy about myself.

“You was only 9 when you told me. You’re around here all the time I just kind of, well, not forgotten, but you know.” I blushed when I looked up at him, expecting him to be pissed by surprised when he kissed me on the lips.

“Well I don’t exactly go around smothering everyone’s attention in it do I. In fact only you, Blake and Dylan know.” He removed his hand from the photo and I immediately burst out laughing.

There stood a much younger Logan underneath a sign that read, ‘Ms Bells Orphanage’. He had his pants around his ankles whilst throwing his middle fingers up to the building behind him. “My mom held the camera whilst my dad got the car running for our quick getaway. That was the first time I’d ever met them.” He laughed and put the picture down, picking up another one.

“This was my first Christmas with them.”Younger Logan sat on a bike with his helmet half on half off and smiling brightly with a few teeth missing. “I can count on one hand how many presents I got, but it was still the best Christmas I’d ever had.” He placed the photo down and picked up another one.

“This was my first day at high school.” Logan was in the middle of his two parents. His dad looking proud and his Mom with a tear in her eye. He placed the photo down and wrapped his arms around me.

“Blood related, they’re not my parents.” He took my hand and placed it over my chest. “But in here they are. It doesn’t matter about the blood. It’s about the love and attention and providing as much as you possibly can for a child who can’t look after themselves. Because when you do that, they’ll give their love back to you tenfold. So you may not be able to physically squeeze a baby out of your pickle grinder.” I laughed at his choice of words. “ But we will have our own kids together.” I felt my eyes water up. Getting up I placed my legs on either side of him and wrapped my arms around his neck so that I was straddling him.

“We?” He smiled and placed a sweet kiss at each corners of my lips.

“Yes we. You aint going nowhere Lace. How many times do I have to tell you that you’re mine.”
