A/N: It has been a long week for me, and I donât know how to tell you, but I wasnât in the right condition when I wrote this. Please forgive me if it wasnât up to your standards, or if it was poorly written after all. Iâm really sorry, but I hope you enjoy it my dear. I tried to lengthen it to fulfil your desires.
Thank you for being here with me.

She was lying on her bedâpropped up against the headboard with a pillow behind her back.
It was silent, except for the soft whirring of the air-conditionerâas she flicked her thumb to scroll the page of her electronic device.
She read the next words carefully, wondering whether she was reading the right book.
She was about to flick her finger to turn the electronic page of her book whenâ
There was a knock on the door.
The girl paused.
She stopped to listen, because, she was so sure that there was no one at home.
Waiting for several seconds to confirm her suspicions, the girl decided it was merely her imagination.
And so her gaze lowered back to her electronic device, as she passed a slender finger to scroll downwards onto the next paragraph.
But there was no paragraph.
There was a question.
Are you alone?
The girl frowned, and she looked around her bedroom.
She was, indeed, alone.
She decided to ignore the question, and merely brushed it aside as a mistake that the author made.
I have always wanted a phone like yours.
âWas the next sentence.
And a bed like yours.
The girlâs hands turned slightly clammy, as she raised her head once again to glance around her.
I must be tired, she thought.
Locking her device and placing it on her bedside table, the girl turned off her lamp, and pulled the covers to her chin.
She closed her eyes.
âbut then her phone rang.
The girl jumped, startled by the shrill ringing.
She attacked the bedside lamp and fumbled for the device beside it.
Unknown
She frowned, and rejected the call.
She repeated the process by turning off her device and then proceeding to bed once againâonly to realize that she was doing it for the fifth time already.
And that her phone was turned off, and not locked.
But despite thatâthere it was again, that shrill ringing.
This time, she was sure to take out the battery of her phone, determined to get her peaceful sleep.
Alas, there was a beep.
A text.
Impossible, she thought.
When the screen lit up before her eyes to display the message that the device had received, the girl dropped her phone.
Are you really alone?
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I yelped, grabbing a bunch of Xanderâs shirt and yanking him closer to meâas if it would act as a shield.
âWoah Chip! Easyâitâs not even scary yetâ¦â
âItâs coming! Itâs definitely coming omgomgomg,â Just then, the eerie soundtrack of the movie reached a climax with screaming violins, and a woman behind me shrieked.
âSee I told you!â
âOkay okay, if youâre so scared then why didnât you agree to watch Fifty Shades ofââ
(A/N: I didnât say it! I didnât say it! XâD Anyway itâs not out yet :P And I canât watch it anyway lol Iâm too young)
âI-IâM NOT SEVENTEEN YET!â
âI could have gotten you the tickets and snuck you in or somethingâ¦â Xander sighed, as if bored. âit would have been fun.â
âW-Wellâ¦Iâm sorry Iâm not fun!â I huffed, releasing my grip on his shirt and raising my gaze to face the huge screenâonly to find myself burying my head in his chest once again.
Whatwasthatwhatwasthat omgomg itâs not real itâs not real Chip get a grip itâs a woman with long hair you can just look itâs not real come on donât be such a wimp oh God.
.
.
I didnât watch the rest of the movie.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
In all truth, it was my idea to watch a horror movie.
Unlike Kim or Jack, Iâ¦havenât got the guts to actually watch one.
However, circumstances made watching a horror movie a good option, apart from the fact that the other option was Fifty Shades ofâwellâ¦never mind.
A couple of days ago, the bakery had a meeting to discuss our schedule for the next busy week.
This normally happens during special days or upcoming holidays like Valentineâs or Christmas, and since Halloween was just a week away, we thought that we could come up with something new this yearâwith the help of Xander and Giselle.
âOkayâideas. We need constructive ones,â Roseâs gaze shot towards a certain young man before reverting back to the rest of the table. âLetâs do something meaningful this year, likeâ¦taking children out for Trick or Treat! What do you guys think?â
âWellâ¦Itâs a good idea, but children? Who?â Gretel wriggled her nose.
âThe neighborhood children of course.â
âWonât they already have some sort of group to move in? Weâll be like extras,â Coco added, and Rose huffed.
âFine, since no one likes my idea then what do you guys have?â Xanderâs hand shot up.
The corner of Roseâs eye twitched, but she remained calm. âYes Xander?â
âMaid caféâOw!â He received a smack on the head.
âWellâ¦we could raise funds for children?â I piped up.
âWhat has that got to do with Halloween though?â Gretel cocked her head to the side.
I scratched the side of my head sheepishly. âEh-heh wellâ¦I dunnoâ¦we could sell Halloween themed goodies for a cheaper price? And then donate all the money to a needy cause.â
âHmmâ¦sounds good to me, thenâwhat should we sell?â
Giselle was the first to speak.
âCupcake,â She nodded enthusiastically, elbows propped on the table. âCupcake cupcake.â
Rose and Coco laughed. âCupcake it is then. We could add in a new cupcake to the menuâPumpkin cream? Or Pumpkin cupcake with walnut cream----that sounds good.â
âWe could have chocolate frosting on red velvets instead of cream cheese? And then name itâ¦bloodyââ
âIâm fine with the idea but not the name,â Rose interjected firmly, pinching Gretelâs nose. âSpider web cookies? How about that?â
âCool,â Xander nodded, âIâd want strawberry soda to go with that though.â Giselle nodded, and Xander threw a playful wink in my direction.
Ears hot, I quickly looked away.
âHmmâ¦Halloween drinks huh? Bloody Mary?â Gretel laughedâsounding like an evil witch.
âJack put a gummy in the shape of a fang in my coke once,â I shuddered, âI almost fainted.â
We began to discuss about the various types of food we could sell, and then it went to cakes and dessertsâit almost got out hand.
.
âLook,â Xander interrupted our excited chatter with the most serious look Iâve ever seen, âif you guys are so bent on selling drinks and desserts, why canât we just go with a Halloween-themed café?â
Rose blinked.
âAâ¦Halloween-themed café?â
Xander shrugged, âwe could dress up in Halloween costumes while serving drinks and food.â
âOoooh sounds exciting!â Gretel rubbed her hands together.
âIâm alright with that,â Coco nodded.
âH-Hold onâwhere will we get the costumes? A café? How about space? We canât possibly open a café in the bakeryâ¦â Rose scrunched her face, deep in thought.
âAh! How about an open-air café? We could set up tables and chairs outside of the bakery, and customers couldâ¦y-you know, star gaze while enjoying a drink or dessertâ¦â My voice became muffled at the end of my sentence because I started getting embarrassed at my cheesy ideas.
âTwinkle twinkle little star,â Giselle sang, rocking her chair.
âOi Giselle donât do that itâs dangerousââ Her brother warned. Xander plopped Giselle on my lap, and then, unnecessarily, transferred me from my chair to his lap.
ââ¦â
ââ¦Xanderâ¦what are you doingâ¦?â
âDonât sexually harass my brother!â
âNot in front of the sister pleaseââ
âAre you using Giselle as an excuse to get Chip on your lap? You cunning wolfââ
âThe cunning wolf,â Xander emphasized, âwas the one who thought about the brilliant idea you guys are talking about now. Be appreciative.â
Gretelâs mouth dropped. âUgh! How dare you talk back to your sister-inâI meanâwhat an arrogant young man!â My sister coughed at her come-back.
âNow, nowâ¦letâs focus on the task at hand shall we? The costumesâthatâs the hardest partâ¦â
âAh! Kim used to dress up all the time for Halloween; maybe she could lend a couple of costumes to us!â I suggested.
âO-Oh! Well, that would be ideal, but we really donât want to trouble herâ¦â
âI guess Iâll owe her one thenâ¦a-anyway I think I can make it up to her.â
âMake it up to her?â Xanderâs voice growled beside my ear. âWhat do you mean by that?â He sounded dangerous.
âU-Um no itâs nothing!â I covered my ears which tickled under his breath.
âHmph.â
âThen we will leave Chip in charge of the costumes then!â Rose concluded fortunately.
âAlright, I will put posters up to attract customers!â
âOkay, Iâll do the menu and come up with the recipes. Giselle can help me with the taste testing,â Coco encouraged with a thumbs up.
Just then, there was a warm and fuzzy feeling in my chest. Giselle jumped in my lap, excited, and smiled up at Coco.
Coco smiled back.
âHey, you know what? Why donât we donate to the Autism Society?â
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
âAand that is why I decided to watch a horror movie toâ¦wellâ¦get myself into the Halloween mood.
We spent the next few days preparing recipes, posters, tables and chairs for the Halloween-themed café.
Of course, Kim was beyond herself when she first stepped into the bakery. After dumping a whole sack of costumes onto the dining table, she rubbed her hands and went straight for the shelves of bread.
âOhmyGosh look at those red velvets mmâ¦oh no thereâs one with chocolate ganache, no not the chocolate ganacheâwhat? You have custard buns all this while and youâve never brought one to school?? Ugh thanks for being a friend Chipââ Kim huffed, waltzing around the bakery, examining each shelf filled with bread and cupcakes.
She practically placed one of everything on her tray and (even when Rose and I insistently refused), paid for every single pastry.
âU-Uwaâ¦Kimâ¦at least let us treat you to somethingâafter all, it must have been really troubling to bring the costumes here right?â I asked guiltily, grabbing her arm and shaking it a little.
âNeeopeâIâm strong,â Kim announced, flipping her ponytail, âhoweverâ¦â
âWhat is it?â I egged her on expectantly.
.
Kim beamed like she found a brand new fan-fiction of her favorite pairing. âOhoâ¦you and Xanderâtotally did it right?â She nudged my ribs and lowered her voice.
My head clouded instantly and a wave of heat rushed to take over my cheeks. âW-W-What are you talking aboutââ
âNo need to be embarrassed Chippy, itâs all part and parcel of your adorable fluffy life which we all admire,â Kim rolled her eyes at that, âand even though I am thoroughly jealous that you got to do it with a hot guy like Xanderâ¦â
âI still want every single detail,â She finished.
.
My mouth dropped in shock. âY-You canâtâItâs notâI meanâ¦are you sure you want that in return for lending us so many costumesâ¦?â I asked again.
Kim nodded eagerly. âYes. Yes, and yes.â
I sighed, hoping Xander would never find out about thisâand that Kim wouldnât ask for too much. I meanâ¦how am I supposed to narrate all that w-when I canât even say that word?
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*
âDear me, these costumes are really well-made,â Rose deduced in awe while holding up a nurse uniform.
Please donât ask me why Kim likes to wear that.
I do not want to imagine it either.
âYes! Look, thereâs even a really cool witch hat. Awâ¦your friend is so thoughtful to bring all of these over,â said Gretel, excitement gleaming in her eyesâand I already knew that she was eyeing the witch costume.
âOh gosh, look at this red riding cape! Itâs perfect for Giselle,â Rose fawned, putting aside the red clothing.
.
Just then, we heard the jingling bells, indicating the entrance of a customer.
âIâll get itââ I said, rushing out from the kitchen while hastily putting on my apron. âWelcome toââ
I stopped short to take in a certain teenagerâonly to feel my heart stop.
And I couldnât help noticing how I was already so familiar with this feeling.
âHey Angel, Iâm done with the postersâjust came back to check on the costumes. Met Kim on the way and she had this weird look on her face like she just bought a porn magazine or somethingââ Xander laughed, a low, pleasing sound, and leaned down to peck my cheek.
I panicked when I heard that Kim almost gave herself (and myself) away, and panicked even more at the sudden gesture of affection.
Taking deep breaths to calm the heat on my face, I quickly changed the subject. âO-Oh really? Um well, my sisters are checking out the costumes in the living room, soâ¦mmmaybe you can pick one. Kim brought some of her brotherâs costumes as well.â
Xander smiled cheekily, âsure thing.â
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
It was only a matter of time before I realized that Kimâs brother was definitely not a small, scrawny 16-year old stuck at the height of 5â2.
None of his costumes fit meâevery single one of them slip in one way or another.
The top would slip off my shoulder.
The bottom was worseâit practically slides off my hips.
Not only did I look like a 9-year old in his Dadâs clothing, I also had to bear the pain of holding my pants up and scrunching my shirt together so that it didnât show my entire upper body.
âThisâ¦isnât going to work for Chipâ¦â Gretel finally admitted, after helping me into all of the male costumes.
âWorks for Xander though!â Rose said brightly as he emerged from the room in a Dracula costume. âWait, I think you look better in the previous oneâ¦â
Xander raised an eyebrow, and then sighed. âWhich one?â
âThe one with the ears and theâ¦the tail? Come on Gretel, help me out hereââ Rose pleaded, entirely unsure of what kind of animal it was.
âThe werewolf?â Gretel suggested, not bothering to look at Rose as she examined the current costume I had on, trying to figure out a way to shrink it.
âAh! Yesâthatâs the one. Can you put it on again?â
Xander sighed once more, merely nodding before proceeding back to the room to change.
âRoseâ¦I think Xanderâs kinda tired after going around and putting up those posters all over townâ¦please cut him some slack,â I pleaded while Gretel fussed around with the costume.
âAs the head of the bakery, I am merely doing my duty to ensure that the project will be of utmost success!â Rose huffed. âI ensure you that if such a small task will tire him out, you, my dear Chip, will not wish to have him in the same bed as you!â
My sister finished with a faint blush and my mouth dropped instantly at the insinuation. âR-R-Rose!!! Thatâs notââ
âIâm done,â Came a low drawl from the doorway. I turned my head to catch a glimpse of Xander with a pair of grey wolfish ears on his head and a sleek, tailâpaired with a white button up that looked frayed and ripped at the edges, and a simple denim three-quarters.
!!! H-He looks so appealing in thatâ¦
Oh no I think Iâm blushingâ
Calm down Chip! Itâs just a costume!
Another voice said: Oh come on Chip he looks appealing in everything, get a grip you virginâoh wait youâre not anymore haha.
!! Shh!!
While I was talking to myself, Gretel was already inspecting Xanderâs costume. After a moment or two, she threw a brown PVC vest in his direction. âHere, wear this with thatâitâs from the woodcutter set or somethingâ¦anyway, looks like Chip canât wear any of these.â
The look on Xanderâs face was one of pure disappointment, however he covered it up rather hastily. âWhat? Doesnât that mean Chip wonât get to participate in the café?â
âWellâ¦guess he wouldnât be able to wear the costumes, but heâll just have to stay in the kitchenâ¦â
âE-Eh? Butâ¦awâ¦â I finished lamely, unable to find any solution.
.
âUnlessâ¦â Rose piped up.
âUnless what?â
âUnless Chip wears one of Kimâsââ
âEEEEHHH???â
âWhatâRose are you serious about this?â
âWellâ¦that isâ¦indeedâ¦a solutionâ¦â Gretel pondered, rubbing her chin. âWhat are the costumes left then?â
Rose checked the pile of neatly-folded costumes. âSince youâre the witch and Iâm the nurseâ¦then thereâs only a bunny and cat costume left I guessâ¦oh and the red riding hood of course, but I figured Giselle would want that.â
â¦
â¦
That escalated quickly.
I looked up to realize that everyone was staring at me.
âSoâ¦if youâre okay with wearing a female costume thenâ¦I guess thereâs no problem? Chip?â
âU-Umâ¦wellâ¦â I glanced at Xanderâand to my surprise, saw anticipation in his eyes.
â¦that pervert.
I sighed. âI donât really have a choice do I?â
âTechnically,â Gretel reasoned, âyou do have a choice on the costume. Bunny or kitty?â
âIâ¦donât knowâ¦m-maybe itâs better to wait for Coco to come back, and then weâll see what she prefers. Iâll take whatever thatâs left,â I shuffled my feet.
Gretel looked the costumes over. âI think youâll look better in the bunny outfit. What do you think Rose?
âI think heâd look adorable in cat ears!â
âHow about you Xander?â
Xander shrugged, acting nonchalant (yes I could tell he was acting). âI think he looks good in everything soââ
âYou meanâyou think he looks good in nothing, right?â Gretel rolled her eyes.
(A/N: #double meaning #Is this a pun I donât know but Iâm sorry I know Iâm lame~)
Xander looked surprised, but smirked all the same. âSince when did you know that?â
Gretel waved his question away, muttering something like: âEveryone knows that from the way you look at himâ
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
31st October was a Fridayâwhich meant that I still had to go to school before going back to the bakery with Xander to prepare for the café.
When I stepped into Rivendelle, I realized that a lot of my classmates were dressed elaborately.
Kim was especially eye-catching in a chiffon-pastel-rainbow maxi skirt and a matching top.
âHello my Princess, how may I help you to the ball?â She came waltzing at me as I entered class early, and tapped my nose with a star-tipped wand.
âW-What is with that British accent Kimââ
âWhy, but I know no Kim! I only know of a great fairy godmother here to grant your wonderful wishes~â
âAhâ¦Iâ¦I seeâ¦â I stuttered lamely, wondering how stupid I must look beside Kim who was so pretty and fashionable.
âDonât worry my dear pumpkin, fairy godmother will be at your doorstep at 6 sharp to have a cup of tea under the stars,â Kim winked happily, waving her wand mid-air.
.
All of a sudden, I was strangely nervous about the café. Since Xander had put posters up all over town, there was a possibility that I might run into some of my schoolmates.
O-Oh noâ¦not Vickyâ¦
Nuuâ
âIf you wish for Vicky to vanish into thin air, then I, as your fairy godmother, shallââ
âEhh?? Umâno, thatâs not it, Iâm just a little nervous about theâ¦the café and allâ¦â
âWhat costume are you wearing my dear?â
I shuffled my feet awkwardly. âI think itâs your cat costume. The one with the white ears and tail?â
Kimâs eyes lit up and I could literally feel her wand radiate light. âY-Youâre wearing a female costume?? Why didnât you say so? Gosh I need pictures I need them nowâIâm going to bring my camera, Iâll take so manyâah, no worries my dear, you and your wolf can do all your private business and Iâll just be by the side with my camera.â
âHow did you know Xander was going to wear the wolf costume?â I asked, so surprised that I didnât even care about the rest of her speech.
My fairy godmother winked. âI have my sources.â
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
âHello Little Red Riding Hood, table for two please,â A young lady said gently, leaning down to wave at Giselle in her adorable red cape and black dress.
She nodded her head slowly and reached into a hand-woven basket to produce a wooden token in the shape of a pumpkin.
âNumber four!â She pointed with difficulty at a table with two chairs.
âThank you!â The two ladies moved towards the table and I quickly came over to hand them the menu.
âWelcome to the Honeycuttâs Halloween café! As stated in the front sign, all sales will be donated to the Autism society,â I bowed deeply, before continuing. âThank you for taking your time to come here.â
âAh! Itâs no trouble my dear, and gosh, those ears look really adorable on you!â The lady and her friend gushedâand I felt my face flush.
âU-Uwa, thank you so much,â I bowed once again to hide my embarrassment. âThen, I will leave the menu here and come over when your decision is made,â I smiled my brightest, before catching a glimpse of a raised hand.
âItâs okay, Iâll get it,â I heard a voice behind me as I was about to make my way to the table. âMeanwhile, can you take these to table eight Angel?â
I felt my face heat up even more at the close proximity of the voice, and then saw that the two ladies were staring at us.
âX-Xanâ¦donât call me Angel in front of other people!â I whispered-shouted in embarrassment.
The two women giggled and âawâed.
Unfortunately, I was really bad at regaining my composureâand quickly received a tray with two glasses of âBloody Maryâs before walking briskly to table eight to avoid Xander.
.
âTwo Bloody Maryâs here,â I placed the glasses carefully onto the table and reminded myself to smile.
âThanks small fry.â
Eh? Small fry?
That sounds familiar.
I realized that the four customers in front of me were Xanderâs friends at school. And one of them was Blake.
âChip, I know this sounds weird, but that guy whoâs wearing a wolf costume and staring at your cute little ass like heâs going to eat you right now looks a whole lot like a douchebag I know,â Blake stated bluntly, and the rest of his friends nodded vigorously, trying to get a glimpse of the person Blake was talking about.
I face-palmed internally, and decided that it was alright to say a little lie. âWell, umâ¦ifâ¦if it helpsâthat guyâs whoâs staring at me nowâ¦should be Xander. I asked him to help with the café.â
âI knew it.â
âTold ya.â
âI knew he was into cat ears.â
To my surprise, none of them doubted the lie, and neither did they seem to notice my hint that I actually worked for the bakery.
Know why?
They were all too busy staring at my sisters.
âThat nurse is hot.â
âI like the bunny more.â
âThe witch was kinda cute when she took our orders.â
Yeap. All too busy.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Before I knew it, it was my turn to do kitchen duty.
Unfortunately, there was absolutely no time to take off my costume so I simply slid on an apron and got down to the kitchen work.
I began speed-piping all the pumpkin cupcakes with walnut cream while speed-reading all the orders.
âWe have kitchen duty together?â Came a familiar voice and my hand slipped on a particular swirl.
I couldnât control the blush on my face and the abnormal speed of my heartbeat while I tried to focus one wiping the ugly swirl away.
âA-Apparently.â
âEh~â I felt Xander come closer to the counter as he examined the orders.
He came up behind me and pressed himself right up against my back while I was still piping to reach over to grab an order.
âFrozen banana ghosts and eyeball cake pops,â He murmured (beside my ear) before moving towards the fridge.
I must say, I was all too aware of the fact that we were the only ones in the kitchen and Xander pulling tricks like that was doing things to my heart.
âBabe, thereâs only five of the cake pops left.â
W-W-W-What did he just call me??
âAngel?â Xanderâs voice seemed closer, and before I knew it, there were arms circling around my waist from behind. âWhatâs wrong?â
âI-I-Itâs nothing! Please take the cake pops out a-and um, use the icing pen over there for decorations,â I stammered unwittingly, trying to calm my heart to no avail.
I quickly finished with the piping of hundred cupcakes before placing it on the counter for easy access.
âChip!â I heard Gretel call through the door. âWe need more cake pops out here, can you run two batches in thirty minutes?â
âOkay!â I called back, already bringing out the ingredients to make a new batch of cake pops.
I heard Xander pass the next order to Gretel as I began to melt the white chocolate.
âYou need any help?â Xander asked while washing his hands.
âAh! Yes pleaseââ I said, almost too fast because I didnât stop to ponder what could possibly happen. âCould you put the Oreo cookies and Madeira cake into the blender and mix it?â
âSure,â He seemed pretty used to it by now, even cracking the oreo biscuits and cake really quickly, then tossing them into the blender.
After the milk chocolate was melted perfectly, I transferred the mixture into a cool glass bowl before adding a spoon of milk crème, then folding in the chocolate using a wooden spoon.
I was too distracted with the chocolate to realize that Xander had placed the blended cake mixture beside me and was pushing the cake pop stand closer and closer.
âU-Umâ¦Xanâ¦what are you doing?â
Xander smirked, then came up behind me as he rolled the cakes into balls.
As if naturally, he slipped his arms under mine from behind and closed the distance. Now, it seemed as if I had four hands, and an extra headâ¦which was nudging playfully at the pair of cat ears on my head.
âW-Waitâyouâre squishing my tailââ I tried to protest, but then noticing that my priorities were misplaced.
Chip! Concentrate on the chocolate! Imagine how awful it would turn out if you donât fold in the crystals!
I quickly went back to folding the chocolate on the sides and mixing them with the core of the chocolate.
.
I felt something down my thighs and that was when I realized that one of Xanderâs hands were missing.
Th-This pervert! How can he make cake pops with one hand??
No Chip! You mustnât get distracted!
Fold. Mix. Fold. Mix.
Using one hand, I noticed that Xander was able to push a skewer into each ball perfectly. Meanwhile, his other hand sneaked to the front of my dress.
ââNn!â
Oh God.
Why must I be wearing Kimâs costume at a time like this?
I tried to pry Xanderâs hand off, but I had to abandon my chocolate for a few seconds and it was beginning to sit.
âMind the milk Angel~â I could hear the smirk in Xanderâs voice.
âS-Say that to yourseââ I was interrupted by a particular hand sneaking under my dress, âwaâ!â
My hands automatically left the wooden spoon and bowl to pull my dress down.
.
âXander! Is the next order ready?â Just then I heard Roseâs voice call from the entranceâand I knew we werenât in a good position.
However, Xander was being way too calm. I felt a strange friction against the back of my dress and my inner thighs. âWhat was the order again?â Xander called back.
Realizing that my chocolate had been abandoned, I quickly got back to it and gave it a couple of good folds. I had no choice but to leave Xanderâs hand under my dress.
The friction rubbing between my legs was getting weirder, and it was making my head spin. âNnâhaa, Xander, w-wait, Roseââ
âThe pumpkin cupcakes and bananas! Donât tell meââ
âTheyâre on the counter already!â Xander said without a flinch, pushing the last skewer into the last ball.
âGotcha!â
.
Once I heard the door slam shut, I craned my head around to give Xander a good scolding but my lips were met with another.
âMm!!â I counted a total of fifteen whole seconds before Xander had the courtesy to pull back. âYouâha, meanieâ!â I said between pants.
Xander laughed, and I felt his hand move under my dress.
âWaââ
âWeâre running out of time~ coat the cake pops with the white chocolate please,â Xander said into my ear.
Heâsâ¦Heâs definitely going to get it after this!!
.
I heard the jingling of bells and Giselleâs light footsteps followed soon after.
Unfortunately for both of us, Xanderâs sister walked straight into the kitchenâ
And stared at the uplifted skirt of my dress.
And then at the hand underneath it.
.
She was silent for a moment, until she pulled out the last cake pop from the previous stand and held it to her eye.
âHeheâ¦Iâve got my eye on you!â She giggled.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Extra scene!
Giselle stood at the entrance of the café, shuffling her feet while waiting for the next customer.
Just then, she heard the sound of a duck.
âUgh, is it me or is Halloween night soo hot? Oh waitâitâs just me!â
âVikieeeeee,â A bunch of girls chorused, as they sashayed hand in hand to the café.
When Giselle spotted the girl dressed in a very revealing âCat Womanâ costume, she immediately called out: âThe witch that is even more evil than the evil witch!â
The Cat Womanâs mouth dropped, and she put her manicured fingers to her chest as if in shock.
She then waddled over, like a duck.
âYouâ¦Itâs you! That littleââ
âProblem? Miss?â Xander crossed his arms over his chest wolfishly, and gave a glare that was worthy of a wolfâs.
âUgh! You! D-Donât think that just because youâre hot you can boss otherâs around.â
âSoâ¦ducks like you can boss others around?â
âWhyââ
âXander!â A familiar young boy came jogging up to the commotion, and the wolf recognized him as the competitor for his mate.
âAce.â
âHey, whatâs up? Sorry about my sis, sheâs a little drunkâ¦nice costume by the way,â Ace commented, trying to hide a blush. âWhereâs Chip?â
Xander raised an eyebrow. âYou have business with him?â
âErrâ¦just wannaâ¦talkâ¦?â
âLookââ
âAce! What are you doing?? Stop talking to him! Heâs mental like his sister!â Vicky shrieked at her brother, and her friends nodded vigorously.
âWhat did you sayâ¦?â Xanderâs voice was dangerously soft as he advanced for the kill.
âXandie!!â Giselle suddenly cried.
Xander stopped to look at his sister incredulously.
Giselle tilted her face to the side. âWhy are you talking to the duck??â
-end-

A/N: Â Hello my beloved Bakers, I hope youâre enjoying the Halloween atmosphere so far. I even changed my profile picture to a cute Halloween cupcake. XD
Oh yes, I hope you remember that Coco was the one who was reluctant to accept Xander and Chipâs relationship. And look at her caring for Giselle now :)
Thingsâ¦work out. Somehow. Even if they donât thenâyou, you my dear, can make things work out.
My exams end around mid-November, so Iâll be back then. Iâm so sorry for making you guys wait, and Iâm also very sorry for those who have been telling me to read their storiesâ¦I will definitely do so after my exams.
