The morning was peaceful, the sun rising slowly, casting a golden hue across the city. But inside Taehyung's bedroom, that peace was rudely interrupted by the continuous buzzing and beeping of his phone. The persistent vibration rattled against his bedside table, breaking the silence of the early morning.

Taehyung groaned in frustration, shifting slightly under the warm covers. He had been sleeping so comfortably, his body completely relaxed after a long, exhausting week. But whoever was messaging him clearly had no consideration for his sleep.

With a deep sigh, he reached out blindly, fumbling for his phone. When his fingers finally grasped the vibrating device, he squinted at the bright screen, his irritation growing as he saw the sender's number.

That number.

The only number that he had ever blocked.

Taehyung's jaw clenched as he scrolled through the endless stream of messages, his mood worsening by the second. He took a deep breath, forcing himself to stay calm. He didn't want to let this ruin his day.

And then, an idea popped into his mind.

A foolproof way to lighten his mood.

Without hesitation, he exited the chat, blocked the number again, and dialed Jungkook's number instead.

The scent of warm toast and eggs filled the small kitchen as Jungkook stood by the stove, carefully flipping pancakes. His left hand was completely healed now, moving freely without any pain. He hummed softly, enjoying the quiet morning routine, when suddenly-

RING! RING!

His phone, which was resting on the counter, started ringing. Jungkook wiped his hands on a cloth before picking it up. His eyebrows furrowed slightly when he saw the name flashing on the screen.

Taehyung hyung?

It wasn't that he was surprised to receive a call from him-it was just the timing. Taehyung had never called this early before.

He swiped the screen and picked up.

"Good morning, Jungkook. I hope I didn't disturb your sleep."

"Good morning to you too, hyung. And no, you didn't disturb me. I was already up."

"Oh? That's great then."

"Hmm... Hyung, is everything okay?" Jungkook asked, tilting his head slightly. The timing of the call was unusual, and he couldn't help but feel a little concerned.

"Yeah, everything is fine. Why?"

"It's just... you never call me this early, so I was wondering..."

"Oh, it's nothing serious. I just wanted to make my day good, so I called you."

Jungkook blinked in surprise before a small blush crept onto his cheeks.

"Glad to know I can do that," he said, a soft smile tugging at his lips.

"Of course, you can, Jungkook," Taehyung said warmly, making Jungkook's heart race a little. "By the way, what are you doing? And what about Aera?"

"I'm making breakfast. Aera is still sleeping. What about you, hyung? Did you eat?"

"I... I just woke up," Taehyung admitted with a sleepy chuckle, rubbing his neck.

Jungkook found himself smiling at the image of Taehyung, still wrapped in his blankets, hair messy from sleep.

"Why? Don't you have office today?"

"I do," Taehyung sighed dramatically.

Jungkook chuckled. "Don't sigh, hyung. Don't you like your work?"

"Of course, I do... it's just, I want to talk to you for some more time."

Jungkook's breath hitched slightly. His cheeks felt warm again, and he was thankful Taehyung couldn't see him right now.

What is he doing to me?

There was a comfortable silence for a few seconds before Jungkook hesitantly spoke.

"Hyung, can you suggest some fun places for kids?"

Taehyung's ears perked up. "For My Sweetheart?"

"Yeah. Tomorrow is Sunday, and I haven't taken her anywhere in a long time. I thought we could go somewhere nice."

A fond smile appeared on Taehyung's face. "That's a great idea, Jungkook-ah. Hmm... if you don't mind, can I and the hyungs join you two?"

"Of course, hyung! I would love that and I was about to ask everyone too. It'll be more fun if we all go together."

"Perfect. Then we'll plan everything at Hobi hyung's café. Jimin knows the best places to visit."

"Sure."

Their conversation continued for almost an hour, flowing naturally like a quiet melody in the morning.

When they finally hung up, Taehyung got out of bed, feeling lighter and happier. His day had officially started on a good note.

Jungkook put his phone aside and stretched before heading towards Aera's room.

Inside, the little girl was still curled up under her blanket, sleeping peacefully. Her tiny fingers were curled into fists, her chest rising and falling steadily.

Jungkook chuckled softly.

"Sometimes, it's so hard to wake her up. She looks too cute to disturb."

But it was already late. She didn't have kindergarten today, but she still needed to wake up.

He sat beside her and gently ran his fingers through her soft hair.

"Bubba, wakie wakie," he whispered softly.

Aera groaned a little, shifting slightly before sleepily crawling onto Jungkook's lap.

"I'm up, Mumma," she mumbled, nuzzling her face into his tummy.

Jungkook chuckled, rubbing her back gently. "Let's go and do your morning routine. Then we'll have breakfast."

Aera peeked up at him with big, sleepy eyes. "Hmm, okay... but I want a kissie first."

Jungkook laughed and held her tiny face between his hands, planting kisses all over her chubby cheeks.

"Good morning, my little angel," he said sweetly.

Aera giggled. "Good morning, my big angel!" she copied him playfully.

Jungkook gasped dramatically. "You naughty little girl!"

Before Aera could escape, he started tickling her, making her burst into laughter.

"Mumma-haha! Mumma-I'm...haha... sorry!!"

Jungkook finally stopped, laughing along with her.

After freshening up, they had breakfast together before spending the day watching cartoons and playing games.

By the time evening rolled around, it was time to meet Taehyung and the others at Hobi's café.

Jungkook smiled as he sent a quick message to Hobi, letting him know they were on their way.
