Chapter 26

Embrace of Love 𐤀 || TK ✓

✨

Author's Point of View

Three Months Later

It had been three months since Taehyung and Jungkook started dating.

Three months of discovering a love they once thought only existed in fairy tales. But now, they knew-love was real, and it was the most beautiful feeling in the world.

They considered themselves lucky. Lucky to have found each other. Lucky to have fallen in love. The light of love that had been kindled between them was unwavering, unquenchable-eternal.

They had touched each other's lives in a way no one else ever had.

Every time their eyes met, their hearts skipped a beat. It was as if their hearts were whispering a secret, one they already knew but couldn't put into words-they were in love.

Whenever they were together, everything felt right. As if they were exactly where they were meant to be.

Their love gave them faith in each other, a sense of belonging they never realized they were missing.

Every moment spent together filled their hearts to the brim, leaving them smiling endlessly.

They had tried-oh, they had tried-to find the right words to express their feelings, but every attempt failed because... words were never enough for emotions so profound.

It had only been a short time, but their love wasn't measured in days-it was felt in every heartbeat, in every glance, in every touch.

The days that once felt ordinary now held joy and warmth.

Their love was growing, pulling them towards each other like a force beyond their control.

And in loving each other, they had learned to live a little more, smile a little brighter, and dream a little bigger.

Loving each other felt euphoric.

Taehyung and Jungkook's relationship had changed-a little too much.

Lately, Jungkook found himself shyer around Taehyung.

Sure, he had always been a little shy, but back then, he could hide it well.

Now? It had become impossible.

And it was all Taehyung's fault.

The elder had become a complete tease, always flirting or making sly remarks, leaving Jungkook flustered.

But... Jungkook didn't mind.

Because beyond the teasing, Taehyung was a gentleman.

He was always caring, always thoughtful-not just towards Jungkook but towards Aera too.

No matter how busy he was, no matter how exhausting his schedule became, Taehyung never forgot to wish them goodnight.

Even on nights when he had to work till morning, he never got upset when Aera complained about not seeing him.

Instead of being angry, he showered her with apologies, held her close, and whispered soft reassurances.

And just like that, Aera would instantly forgive her Dada.

She could never stay mad at him for long.

Currenly, After a week of working like a machine, Taehyung had finally completed his important project.

And today, he had made a promise-a promise to spend the entire day with Jungkook and Aera.

Jungkook had taken the day off too.

Sure, Aera wanted him to.

But also because he knew how hard Taehyung had worked all these days.

And more than anything, he wanted the elder to rest, even if just for a day.

The past week had been hectic, and they had only managed to meet once.

Today, they would make up for the lost time.

-

Aera sat on the couch, watching TV, her tiny legs swinging excitedly as she waited for her Dada.

Jungkook was in the kitchen, arranging the groceries, when he heard the doorbell ring.

Quickly, he untied his apron and took it off before heading to the door.

When he opened it, his breath hitched.

Standing there was his gorgeously handsome boyfriend-clad in a crisp white shirt, a sleek waistcoat, and tailored black formal pants. His coat rested on his left arm, his entire presence oozing elegance and charm.

Jungkook's lips curled into a soft smile.

"Welcome, Hyung," he greeted warmly.

Taehyung smiled back, his eyes twinkling.

"How are you, Bun?" he asked while stepping inside.

"I'm good. What about you? And Eomma and Appa?" Jungkook asked as they walked towards the living area.

"Eomma wants you to come home," Taehyung replied. "He says he misses you and Princess."

Jungkook smiled. "Ohh~ I'll visit soon."

Just as Taehyung was about to respond-

A small voice interrupted.

"DADA~!"

Both men turned towards the sound, just in time to see Aera running towards them.

Taehyung instantly crouched down and scooped her up, holding her close.

Jungkook chuckled. "Let me take your coat, Hyung," he offered, noticing the coat creating a barrier between father and daughter.

Taehyung smiled gratefully and handed it over.

"Thank you, baby," he murmured.

Jungkook blushed at the nickname but quickly turned away, pretending to fix the coat.

Meanwhile, Aera hugged Taehyung tightly, resting her chin on his shoulder.

Taehyung's arms wrapped around her protectively as he gently patted her back.

"Did you miss Dada, Princess?" he asked softly.

Aera nodded. "I missed you so much, Dada," she whispered.

Taehyung smiled, his heart melting.

"Bubba, let him freshen up first," Jungkook said, knowing Taehyung had come straight from work.

Aera pouted but nodded. "Okay..."

"Aww~ I'll be back in five minutes, Princess. Then we'll play, okay?" Taehyung promised, squeezing her cheek.

"Okay, Dada!" Aera beamed.

After changing into Jungkook’s clothes, Taehyung returned and spent an hour playing with Aera while Jungkook finished arranging groceries.

Then—

"Dada~ Dada~ I wanna bake cookies like Mumma, but Mumma said no!" Aera pouted.

Taehyung chuckled. "Bubba, Mumma is right. You're too small to bake."

But Aera's pout deepened, her big eyes filled with disappointment.

Taehyung sighed, his heart softening.

"Alright, we’ll bake cookies," he finally said. "But you have to promise—only Dada will do the work while you watch, okay?"

Aera's pout immediately disappeared, replaced by an excited squeal.

Jungkook, overhearing, chuckled. "Hyung, do you even know how to bake?"

Taehyung scratched his nape sheepishly. "Uhh... No, but I'll figure it out!"

Jungkook sighed. "Fine, let me help—"

"It's okay, Kook! You should rest," Taehyung insisted.

Jungkook hesitated but nodded. "Call me if you need help."

As Jungkook left to take a call from Jimin.

And Taehyung stood in the middle of the kitchen, scanning the countertop filled with ingredients. Butter, sugar, vanilla extract, baking powder-everything was there, except for one thing. Flour.

He sighed, glancing at Aera, who was sitting on the counter with her tiny legs swinging excitedly. "Princess, do you know where the flour might be kept?" he asked, ruffling her soft curls.

Aera pouted, shaking her head. "No, Dada."

Taehyung chuckled at her adorable expression, flicking her chin lightly. "Guess Dada has to find it himself."

He turned back to his search, opening cabinets and drawers, but there was no sign of it. Just as he was about to call Jungkook for help, his eyes landed on a shelf in the corner of the kitchen, its door slightly ajar.

There. That had to be it.

He walked toward the shelf and pulled the door open fully, revealing a large bag of flour resting on the lower rack. Taehyung sighed in relief and crouched down, reaching for it with one hand. What he failed to notice, however, was that the bag had already been opened from the side-just enough for disaster to strike.

As soon as he lifted it, the bag slipped slightly from his grip, and before he could react-

Puff!

A thick white cloud exploded into the air.

For a moment, Taehyung froze, eyes wide as the soft powder rained down on him, coating his hair, face, and clothes. He barely had time to process what had happened before he heard a tiny gasp.

"Dada... You turned into a snowman!" Aera's voice was filled with pure wonder.

Taehyung blinked through the flour, slowly raising his head to look at his daughter. Aera's little hands were covering her mouth, her big round eyes filled with surprise-and then, within seconds, she burst into the most innocent, uncontrollable laughter.

Taehyung groaned, shaking his head, which only sent another small cloud of flour into the air. He could feel the soft powder sticking to his eyelashes, his nose, and even in the creases of his shirt. "Great," he muttered under his breath. "Just what I needed."

Aera, however, was far too amused by the scene. She clapped her hands together excitedly. "Dada, you look funny! Can I be a snow princess too?"

Taehyung sighed but couldn't help the small smile tugging at his lips. His little troublemaker was enjoying this way too much. He dusted off his hands and wiped his face with his palm, only to make things worse. The flour smeared across his cheeks, and Aera's laughter only grew louder.

Jungkook's timing couldn't have been more perfect. Just as he stepped back into the kitchen, still holding his phone after talking to Jimin, he stopped mid-step. His eyes widened at the sight in front of him.

There stood Kim Taehyung-the ever-so-handsome CEO, always composed and elegant-now looking like he had just walked through a snowstorm. Flour covered his entire upper body, his dark hair turned ghostly white, and the look of pure defeat on his face was priceless.

Jungkook's lips quivered. He tried-really tried-to hold it in. But the moment Taehyung turned to him with a deadpan expression, he lost it.

A loud laugh escaped Jungkook's mouth as he clutched his stomach, his body slightly bending forward. "Hyung-" he tried to speak between laughs, "What-what happened to you?"

Taehyung rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his flour-covered chest. "If you must know, this-" he gestured to himself dramatically, "-is your fault."

Jungkook wiped the corners of his eyes, still chuckling. "My fault? How?"

"You didn't tell me where the flour was," Taehyung said, as if that explained everything.

Jungkook smirked, walking closer. "And instead of asking, you decided to take matters into your own hands?" He shook his head, clearly enjoying the scene way too much.

Taehyung huffed, turning away. "I don't have to explain myself."

Jungkook took one look at his sulking boyfriend and burst out laughing again. "Hyung, you look like a walking bakery."

Aera, still giggling, nodded eagerly. "Dada, you're so cute!"

Taehyung sighed dramatically. "At least my princess thinks so." He picked Aera up and spun her around, making her squeal in delight. "See? Only my daughter understands me."

Jungkook rolled his eyes fondly, stepping forward and dusting some flour off Taehyung's shoulder. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up, Mr. Snowman."

Taehyung narrowed his eyes. "Call me that again, and I'll make sure you match me."

Jungkook raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? And how exactly are you going to do that?"

Taehyung smirked. Instead of replying, he grabbed a handful of flour from the counter and-before Jungkook could react-he clapped his hands together, sending a cloud of flour right into Jungkook's face.

Jungkook coughed, waving his hand in front of him as he inhaled the powder. "Hyung-"

Taehyung grinned victoriously. "Now we both look like walking bakeries."

Aera clapped excitedly. "Now Mumma is a snow prince too!"

Jungkook groaned but couldn't help the fond smile forming on his lips. He looked at Taehyung, who was standing there smugly, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

Jungkook sighed, wiping his face. "I really should've seen that coming."

Taehyung winked. "Lesson learned?"

Jungkook chuckled, shaking his head. "Lesson learned."

And soon both of them burst into laughter.
