तुम्हें ना हो पसंद उसको दोबारा हम ना देखेंगे,

तेरी सूरत ना हो जिसमें वो शीशा तोड़ देंगे हम,

अगर तुम मिल जाओ जमाना छोड़ देंगे हम"

Oberoi Industries Office....

Rishit was sitting in his cabin with his assistant when his phone rang. As he answered the call, his mother's voice came from the other end,

"Aaj mene teri date fix ki h, to yaad se pahuch jana shaam ke 6 baje tak".

( I've arranged a date for you today. Don't forget, be there by 6 in the evening.)

"Mujhe nhi jana," Rishit replied, his expression flat.

( I don't want to go )

"Beta mein tujhse puch nhi rahi hu, bata rahi hu," his mother responded firmly.

( Son, I'm not asking for your opinion; I'm informing you )

"But mom-" Rishit began, but his mother hung up, leaving him frustrated.

His gaze then shifted to his assistant cum best friend, Kartik, who was seated on the couch engrossed in work. Rishit looked at him hopefully, mischief glinting in his eyes.

When Kartik's eyes met Rishit's, it didn't took him long to decipher Rishit's intentions. With a resolute tone, he said, "Nhi bhai phele hi teri wajah se me 10 baar date par ja chuka hu is baar tu dekh le apna".

( No way, man. I've already gone on ten dates because of you. This time, you're on your own )

Rishit sighed, feeling even more exasperated. "Bhai, ek last time. Promise, iske baad kabhi nahi bolunga!" Rishit pleaded, his hands folded in a mock prayer.

( Last time promise, I'll not say next time )

Kartik shook his head, smirking. "Yehi tu har baar kehta hai, aur phir main fas jata hu. Tere badle mein ladkiyon se milne jata hu, aur tu yaha araam se baithe rahta hai."

( You say this every time, and then I get trapped. I go to meet girls on your behalf, and you sit here comfortably )

Rishit grinned sheepishly, knowing Kartik was right. "But Kartik, tu jaanta hai na, mujhe in sab mein interest nahi hai. Yeh shaadi-vadi ka pressure nahi chahiye yaar."

( But Karthik, you know that I am not interested in all this. I don't want the pressure of marriage )

Kartik rolled his eyes, "Jaise ki mujhe bahut interest h"?, he said sarcastically.

( Like I'm very interested )

Rishit pouted, trying to play the emotional card. "Bhai, please. Teri madad ke bina main kya karunga? Tu mera best friend hai, mere liye itna bhi nahi karega?"

( Bhai, please. What would I do without your help? You are my best friend, won't you do even this much for me? )

"Accha to ab tu mere sath emotional games khelega", Kartik said, raising an eyebrow.

( Oh so now you are playi g emotional games with me )

"Bhai chale ja na", Rishit pleased to which Kartik signed dramatically, "Accha thik h but last time, iske bad nhi jaunga, samjha".

( Bro, just go, will you )

( Alright, fine, but this the last time, after this, I'm done, got it )

"Haa bhai samajh gaya", Rishit nodded and quickly went straight to his chair. Kartik stood up to leave, but just as he was about to step out, Rishit called out in a teasing tone," Enjoy your date Bhai". Kartik responded with flinging a pillow towards him, which Rishit narrowly dodged.

(Yeah bro, got it )

"Kamina", Kartik muttered under his breath and he finally left the cabin.

( Rascal )

( A/N : This personality of Rishit is only for his best friend, Kartik, as Kartik know him more than anymore else and he is his supporter in every situation)

Ahuja Industries Office.....

Vaani was seated in her cabin when her assistant, Rhea, walked in.

"Boss, another date has been scheduled for Rishit Oberoi by his mother,Meera Oberoi," Rhea informed her.

"Kya ek or date fix kar di meri hone wali sasu maa ne" Vaani exclaimed with playful dramatics.

(Has my future mother-in-law arranged yet another date)

"Yes," Rhea confirmed, chuckling at her antics.

"Konse restaurant me ?" Vaani inquired.

(In which restaurant?)

"Blue Moon," Rhea responded, to which Vaani simply nodded.

Bangalore....

In the bustling college canteen, the air was filled with the chatter of students and the clinking of plates. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the scent of street food, while a few groups of students laughed loudly in the background.

Amidst the lively environment, Ved and Vidhi sat at a corner table, their conversation carrying a more serious tone than the lighthearted atmosphere around them.

Ved, always the humorous one, had an unusually firm expression on his face, though his eyes still sparkled with his usual mischievousness.

"Vidhi, today you're going to tell me the truth," he said with mock seriousness, his lips twitching as if he was resisting the urge to burst into laughter

Vidhi, feeling the tension rise within her, stirred her coffee nervously, trying her best to dodge his gaze. "About what?" she asked, attempting to appear clueless, but her heart was racing.

Ved wasn't buying it. "Come on, Vidhi. Don't act clueless. I know you understand exactly what I'm asking. Just be honest with me, do you like my brother or not?"

Vidhi's pulse quickened. Her heart had been wrestling with this truth for so long, and now here was Ved-her best friend-cornering her into admitting what she had kept hidden.

"Ved, what are you even saying?" she muttered weakly, forcing a laugh that felt hollow. "Why would I like your brother?"

Ved's expression softened, though the grin began to creep onto his face. "Vidhi, don't try to fool me. You're terrible at lying, and you're even worse at hiding your feelings. I've seen the way you look at him. Now, just admit it already-do you have feelings for Vidhan bhai or not?"

Finally, she looked up, her voice barely a whisper. "You're right, Ved. I do like him... more than that, actually." She swallowed hard, her eyes softening as she allowed herself to say the words she'd been holding back for so long. "I love him."

"I love him, Ved. I don't even know how or when it happened, but I fell for him. He's become such an integral part of my life that I can't imagine it without him anymore," Vidhi confessed, her voice trembling with emotion. "He means that much to me. But I'm terrified-what if he doesn't feel the same way? What if he doesn't love me back? The thought of that... it scares me more than you can imagine."

Her words tumbled out, raw and unguarded, as she poured her heart out in front of Ved.

Ved listened intently, his usual playful demeanor softening as he saw the vulnerability in his best friend's eyes.

After a pause, he placed a comforting hand over hers, offering her silent support. "And what if Vidhan bhai loves you too Vidhi?" he asked gently, his voice calm yet reassuring.

Vidhi blinked, taken aback by the thought. Her heart raced, but her mind was clouded with doubt and uncertainty.

Ved leaned in, his tone more serious now, though his usual warmth remained. "Vidhi, if you love him, then you need to tell him. Propose to him. No matter what his response is, at least you'll never live with the regret of not letting him know how you feel."

He spoke the words with sincerity, but what Vidhi didn't know was that Ved was holding back a secret-he already knew that his brother, Vidhan, loved her too.

"Are you sure, Ved?" Vidhi asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

"Absolutely, Vidhi! Just imagine-if bhai accepts your proposal, my best friend will officially become my bhabhi! Do you even realize how amazing that would be?" Ved's grin widened as he leaned back in his chair, clearly enjoying the idea. "And how much fun I'll have teasing the two of you!" he added with a wink, already picturing it in his mind.

Vidhi couldn't help but chuckle at his playful antics, her nerves easing just a little.

Ved continued with a teasing grin, revealing more than Vidhi had expected. "By the way I'd known for a while that you had feelings for him. Honestly, I was just waiting for you to finally admit it. And let me tell you, nothing would make me happier than having my best friend as my bhabhi!"

Vidhi's eyes widened in surprise as she shot him a mock-betrayed look, but within moments, her expression softened, and a deep blush spread across her cheeks.

She quickly glanced away, trying to hide the embarrassment that accompanied his words, but the warmth of his teasing left her feeling both flustered and strangely reassured.

"So, tell me, when are you planning to propose to bhai?" Ved asked, raising his eyebrows, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"Very soon," Vidhi replied with a wide grin, her confidence building.

With that, the two of them shared a smile, finished their meal, and headed off to their classes, the weight of the conversation feeling lighter than before.
