Alex strides over to me. All rational thoughts leave my mind and the only thing my mind is telling me is to run. I dash out of the room . I hit the hallway and run to stairwell.

I make it up to the first floor and rush outside into the dark night. I'm shaking,  my side's burning , and I'm trying to catch my breath. It's like one of those bad dreams where you know something evil is chasing you , but you can't get away fast enough.

I almost trip over a loose branch on the ground,  my hair is stuck to my tear- streaked face as I shove my limbs out of my way.

I jump over a branch , but I'm hit from behind as I land. I scream as I'm shoved to the uneven ground. Rocks dig into my chest and stomach. I'm yanked and tossed onto my back, and a hand covers my  mouth.

I slap at whoever is on top of me. I can't see anything because my hair covers more than half of my face, stuck to my tears. I can't breathe with his hand over my mouth , so I try to free it by digging my nails into his skin , but it does no good.

My hands are ripped by the man and pulled above my head,pinned to the ground. I try to free them by arching my back but it's useless. Someone is on top of me and he's too heavy.

The hand is removed from my mouth only to be replaced by some kind of cloth shoved into it , filling my cheeks. I cry into it , my body shaking.

Shhh, a voice says softly. My hair is pushed from my face and a hand softly grab my cheek.

You're okay , kotenok. You're okay. Alex is on top me. Keeping my arms away.

You're okay, He repeats but I shake my head. I'm not going to hurt you , little one , but you've got to keep quite.  He looks over his shoulder before his eyes meet mine.

Can you do that ? I nod quickly , taking a deep breath through my nose. He reaches into my mouth and removes the cloth . I sob quietly.

Shhh. He covers my mouth once more.

Deep breaths , little one. Come on , calm your breathing for me.

I take a deep breath and blink the fresh tears from my eyes.

That's it. Good girl . Again. He says softly.

I manage to take another breath through my nose , and he slowly removes his hand from my face. I lick my wet lips , and he smiles at me.

You're okay. Nothing is going to happen to you. He releases my wrists and I bring them to my chest to shield myself from him.

Come on. Alex grabs my hand , pulling me to my feet. I stumble back from him, and he stands before me , staring. I blink the fresh tears streaming down my face , trying to stabilize myself on my shaking legs. He steps forward. Em-

I take another one back. Reaching up , he runs his hand through his hair. I need you to understand something....

Don't touch me. I manage to get out through the knot in my throat.

He places his hands out wide. You cant stay here , kotenok.  I have to take you home.

I shake my head wrapping my arms around myself.

Listen to me , Emily. He commands, his voice so harsh it makes me flinch. My watery eyes lift to meet his dark stare.

Either you willingly leave with me, or I tie you up , gag that pretty mouth of yours, and drag you from these woods.

Drag ? As in with rope around my neck? The blood rushes in my ears.  How do I not know what Alex was capable of ?

How could I have ever felt so safe around him ? How many women has he hurt? Killed? What will it take for him to do the same to me?

He reaches down and undoes his belt, and my heart leaps in my chest.

Ok- okay ...okay. I swallow. I'll leave with you. If I allow him to tie me up and gag me , I wont have a chance.

I follow Alex quietly sniffing to his car. He opens the door for me and drives without saying a word. I lay my head with the window. Alex puts his hand on my thigh. I try to resist but he only tightens his grip.

The soft humming of the car lulls me to sleep and I doze off. The events of today still playing in my mind like a movie scene , and I know for a fact that , the woman is gonna haunt my dreams.

I wokeup wrapped in thick blankets.  I looked around to find any signs of Alex but he's nowhere near sight. I don't know if that's good or bad but i know if i see alex again I'll freak out. Sighing i get up and go to the bathroom.

I shower and change my clothes. I look at the bed and saw ham lying on top of the blankets.  I go to him and lightly stroke his fur. He purs. Ham never bothered to be close to me and this is the closet I've ever been to him .

A few minutes later a maid enters the room and tells me to come down for breakfast.  I leave my room and go to the dinning hall. Alex and Zander are already there with there cup of coffes.

I don't know if I can swallow any food. Alex eyes me like a hawk. Zander breaks the tension by telling me to sit near him . I quietly go and sit beside him . Alex is quiet, to quiet.

Zander you know it's time for her initiation.  Alex says to zander . Initiation? What's that supposed to mean.

You can't possibly think of that , alex . You and I both know shes not ready.

Ready or not she has to be initiated.

A yelp escapes from me as zander throws his cup aside, creating a loud noise. He then gets up and leaves.

I look up to alex and find him already looking at me.

It's time. That's all that he says and leaves.
