Emily's pov:

After coming to my room my heart drummed in my chest. I'm confused. I think it's cause nobody ever cared for me and now with him showing a little attention to me I'm on cloud nine. I want to feel love. I want to give my love to someone. Is it to much to ask for . Sighing I layed on my bed and tossed and turned around.

It's been three days since the kitchen incident and Alex is nowhere to be found. Is he ignoring me . My heart hurt but I have to leave. I came to know through a maid that there's another gate to estate but no body goes through there.

I couldn't sleep . Yesterday I came to know that there's a back gate that leads into the forest. Not many guards are on that gate . I can leave through that but will there be any wild animals? Ahhh. I groaned.

But I have to leave and that's the only way. Around 11 at night I got up . Storm was out , so its my cue to leave. I'll miss him so much. I don't know how many miles I have to walk through the forest till I see a road but I have to try anyways. I picked a plastic bag that I filled yesterday with some canned food and water bottles that I'll need.

I slowly came out of my room and tiptoed to hall . I don't wanna draw unnecessary attention to myself so I behaved as though I need some fresh air . Walking down the stairs I saw the niko guy glaring at me. I gulped. This guy gives me chilled.

As I was about to pass him he held my arm . Where do you think your going uh? He asked with a rough voice. Sweat formed in my hairline. I I couldn't sleep so I'm going out for for some fresh air? He looked at me from head to toe. Suddenly some girls came inside wearing langrie and he left my hand. Phew . That was a close call.

Now that they were distracted I quickly went out  and went towards the back gate which took me 8 minutes.

When I reached the gate no one was around. Umm weird. But I decided to let it slide . I went towards the gate and tried to open it but it was locked . Oh dang it. So I decided to climb it. There are big holes in the gate so it should be easy right. With a drumming heart I climbed up and reached the other side. That was easy.

I'm feeling a little uneasy. Why there was no security around? It all felt suspicious but I let it slide.

Walking further I reached near the forest line. Not gonna lie I felt scared. All my bravery evaporated. I felt like a little girl again who just lost her parents and nobody wanted to take her in.

I clutched the plastic bag closer to my body and stepped towards my freedom . Taking a deep breath I composed myself. I walked into the forest. Not gonna lie trees look ten times spookier. My body is buzzing with adrenaline.

Suddenly I heard footsteps. Oh no. Did he find me already . No no . I ran. I ran as fast as I could.  Ahhhhh. A scream ripped from my throat as I fell . Ah. My knees got scratched and I guess my ankle twisted. My palms are bleeding too. I started sobbing . Everything hurts. But I need to keep going. I got up and limped further.

I don't know how long I've been walking. My eyes are weary and no doubt my cheeks are red from crying. I decided to rest a bit. Opening my plastic bag I chugged the water and eat a granola bar.

My eyes are closing but I need to stay awake. I saw a shadowy figure. I squinted my eyes to get a better view. Oh my god is that is that a wolf. Oh no. Its a big black wolf with razor sharp teeth. Oh no. I'm about to be a meal.

Not thinking any further I dashed into the forest . My sprained ankle hurt but my brain is on autopilot and the adrenaline is to much . I kept going.

Suddenly another wolf appeared I fell face first. Groaning I got up and looked around and saw three wolves and they've formed a circle around me. Tears flowed .

I didn't know what to do. One of the wolf howled. He stared at me with those murderous eyes. I closed my eyes and a figure came in front of me.

When I opened my eyes I saw a pair of gray eyes staring right into my soul . Without thinking I hugged him. Ple..please help me l..l don't wanna d..d..die. please.

My breaths came out uneven . Shh. Shouldn't you be punished for disobeying me koetonek. Hmm. Let's see. Should I let one of my wolves eat your leg..hu.

I shaked my head uncontrollably. Please please ju..just get me out. I'll .. I'll do anything jus ...just please. I was on the verge of passing out .

You'll be punished koetonek. I had told you before that I'm not much of a forgiving person. You better pray that I'll go easy on you. With that I passed out. My vision blacked and my breathing evened.

I don't know what'll happen to me but right now all I want is to get out of this forest. I felt so drained and my legs throbbing.

Rest for now little one. But mark my words you'll regret going out of the house. For now sleep.

Saying those words alex picked emily up and carried her back to the house. His wolves followed him . He was a bit suspicious of Emily's behaviour lately so he expected this much. The fact that he was the one who ordered his guards to leave the other gate unattended.

To say he was angry would be an understatement. He was fuming and surely when the king is angry someone will have to pay .

So thoughts. I'm not editing the chapters honestly . I'm just writing them and publishing them . I'll read them once I finish writing it. So I hope they turn out good .
