“Is the Math department coming along as well? Why didn’t we know about this?” asked Wen Ping quizzically.

He was not alone. Li Chenhui and Ying Qi were equally puzzled.

Wu Yue looked at Wen Ping in surprise. “What do you mean you didn’t know? Didn’t Prof Rong tell you?”

Wen Ping shook his head quietly. A few seconds later, he finally said, “Prof Rong simply told us to prepare for the conference.”

Wu Yue went speechless.

“This is such an important matter. Why didn’t Prof Rong mention anything to you?” Wu Yue’s face cracked as he spoke.

“He really didn’t,” replied Wen Ping sheepishly.

In reality, Prof Rong usually just gave them challenging problems to solve every now and then. He hardly showed his face otherwise.

He did not tell them that the Math department was sending representatives as well. However, he probably simply forgot about it and did not intentionally hide the fact from them.

After all, Prof Rong only cared about their junior sister while the rest of them were pure disappointments.

Now that there was a chance for them to attend the conference and learn something, Prof Rong probably wished that it was as challenging as it could get.

Wu Yue snapped out of his shock after some time. He cleared his throat and took the blame. “My bad. I didn’t mention it to Prof Rong.”

Wen Ping and the others seemed accustomed to this. They simply swallowed their grief and told Wu Yue not to take it to heart.

Wu Yue said a few more words before he looked at Huo Yao and spoke softly. “Oh yes. Prof Rong has a message for you. He wants you to keep an eye on your senior brothers and not to let them embarrass themselves.”

Her senior brothers looked puzzled.

What an awful thing to say.

Huo Yao cleared her throat. She wondered if her senior brothers would henceforth hate her for this. He had successfully triggered her senior brothers’ sense of competition and got her directly involved.

Prof Rong clearly expected her to work hard.

Shortly after, the airport staff announced that the flight was ready for boarding.

After boarding the plane, Huo Yao did not talk much since she was not the chatty sort. Instead, she asked the air stewardess for a blanket and closed her eyes to rest.

Huo Yao had only rested for three to four hours last night. She was busy working on DO Corporation’s project. She had a feeling that she would not have time to work on it for some time, so she kept working on it last night.

Meanwhile, at the Weapons Bureau.

Min Yu had just finished a meeting, but he did not return to his office. Instead, he went straight into the lift.

Zhuo Yun followed behind him. “Boss, are you leaving now?”

Min Yu pressed the lift button to go down. “Uh huh.”

“The town mayor of Blaye is still waiting for you. Aren’t you going to see him?” asked Zhuo Yun unhurriedly.

The lift chimed when it got here and the door opened.

Min Yu walked straight into the lift. He looked at Zhuo Yun outside the lift as he kept his finger on the open button and said mildly, “I’m not free.”

Zhuo Yun scratched his head. “I think he wants to see you urgently.”

“If he wants to wait, then let him.” Min Yu looked cool and distant as usual.

Zhuo Yun knew it was impossible for the boss to see Blaye’s town mayor. He simply nodded and said, “Okay then. I will send him away.”

“Uh huh.” Min Yu veered his eyes and pressed the lift button for the parking lot in basement one.

After the lift door closed, Zhuo Yun finally turned to leave. As he walked to the waiting room, he suddenly recalled what was on schedule today.
