Chapter 12

Mate? Mate.

Jasmine's POV

I ran up to the attic and grabbed carton boxes and two huge suitcases, then headed to my room, slamming the door behind me with my leg.

I started putting my books in a box alone. Next, I put my electronics containing my laptop and phone accessories but decided to leave my charger out to charge my phone overnight. I finished putting my stuff in two other boxes, then began with my closet.

I dragged the first suitcase to my closet, set it down, and opened it. First, I put my lingerie at the very bottom. Then, I put all my dresses and skirts and added my pants and jeans on top of them. In the other suitcase, I placed my shirts, tank tops, t-shirts, blouses, shorts, and shoes.

I ran back up to the attic and grabbed a smaller bag for my personal stuff. I ran back down to my room and packed my make-up, hair stuff, and toiletries.

Finally after 2 long hours I was done. I grabbed my towel and headed into the bathroom to take a long, relaxing shower. When I got out, I put on comfortable cotton shorts and a tank top before heading downstairs for a snack. I didn't find my parents which was a relief since I didn't want to face them right now.

I grabbed some chocolate cereal and a small carton of milk and went back upstairs. Since I packed my laptop, I turned on the TV, plugged my headphones into it, and began watching whatever was on. After the movie ended, I shut off everything and laid back in bed. I had to sleep so that I would be awake before Blake arrives tomorrow morning. And with that thought in mind, I drifted off into a deep sleep.

___________

Ding!

I groaned and opened my eyes slightly to see what that came from and saw that my phone's screen was flashing.

I'm downstairs xx It was from Blake! I quickly ran to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, washed my face, and slipped some socks on before running downstairs.

I opened the door to a grinning Blake. He was leaning on the door looking like some model and I admit that I'm lucky to have such a handsome mate.

"Good morning, sunshine!" he greeted me, his grin widening.

"You know you could've told me before coming, atleast I would've changed," I told him annoyed that he got to see me looking like hell.

"You don't have to, beautiful, plus soon I'll be seeing you like this every morning," he said with a wink, not failing to make me blush. He knew exactly what to say! He kissed me softly before I lead him inside and into the kitchen.

"Have you eaten breakfast yet?" I asked him opening the fridge to get milk for cereal.

"Nope, I was expecting my lovely mate to cook me a delicious brunch," he said grinning cheekily. He was so adorable!

"Well that sucks cause I'm too lazy to cook, so you're stuck with cereal," I told him smirking.

"B-But, I wanted some brunch," he said in a fake childish voice while pouting.

"B-But, I'm too tired to cook," I said imitating his childish voice making him grin at me.

"You look adorable right now, you know," he told me pushing back a strand of hair that fell on my face. My eyes locked with his and I couldn't look away. It felt like he was reading me like an open book.

He slowly and gently placed his soft lips on mine and I smiled through the kiss. This is perfect. We pulled back and I grinned at him and shook my head.

"Are waffles ok?" I asked him and he grinned and nodded. He seemed to grin a lot today, but I didn't care I loved it.

I made the waffle and left some batter for my parents for later on. They love waffles. After a delicious, laughter-filled breakfast, Blake began taking my bags and carton boxes. He put them in the car and turned to look at me.

"Aren't you going to say goodbye to your parents?"

"No I won't. We got into a fight yesterday and let's just say it's really not going well for us right now," I said and Blake put his hands on my shoulders and rubbed them.

"It's gonna be fine, I promise," he said and I nodded and took a deep breath looking at my house before entering the car and we drove away. The drive took about 30 minutes or so but it was a nice 30 minutes. When we arrived, 2 men came and took my stuff before heading inside Blake's house. We followed them and I found that they had put them in Blake's room.

"Uhh, Blake? Why are my things here?" I asked with my voice full of confusion.

"Well, you're my mate so you're staying with me in my room." He shrugged and said it casually, while I was standing their completely confused. I took a look at the bed and let out a sigh of relief when I saw that it was king-sized. I was a terrible sleeper and I kicked around a lot so I was glad the bed was huge.

"T-together?" I squeak out and he laughed, "You're my mate, Jazzy, it's fine and normal, I promise I don't snore," he told me. I just shook my head.

"Yeah, sure," I said and headed downstairs. As soon as I entered the living room, all I saw was a flash of blonde hair being thrown on me and someone wrapping his arms around me tightly.

"OMG! You moved in! We'll be staying together!" Emma screamed in my ear. I grinned brightly and hugged her back.

"I know! I'm so excited!"

"So decided to move in, huh? You couldn't get enough of me, could you?" I heared a very familiar and flirty voice say.

"Hello to you too, Evan," I told him smiling, "So, what were you guys doing before I came in?"

"Nothing really. A boring show on tv, but now that a lovely lady is here, it's not boring anymore," Evan answered me.

"Evan, did you see Ethan?" A strange voice said while peeking through the door. He took a look at me and frowned, "Who's this? Don't tell me you found your mate."

"Actually, she's Blake's mate, but we would make a perfect couple, right?" Evan said with a smirk on his face. Can I just wipe this thing off his face?

"Ew, no way," I said with a grimace. I couldn't imagine myself with someone other than Blake, not even Nick.

"Who the hell would dare think about becoming my mate's partner?" A deep and manly voice said from behind the guy I don't know the name of. Blake looked furious and Evan sunk into the couch.

"Thought so," I mumbled quietly to myself, but Evan heard it and looked away embarassed.

"Caleb Henderson, pleasure to meet you..." The boy told me, extending his hand for me to shake. He had charming hazel eyes, brown hair that was pulled up to a quiff, and a cute smile.

"Jasmine Thomas, you can call me Jazzy," I told him smiling. I shook his hand and heard a growl. We both looked to our sides to see Blake glaring at both of us.

"No other male touches my mate, understood?" Blake threatened, but I didn't even flinch.

"Yes, Alpha," Caleb bowed his head.

"What's your problem, Blake?" I asked him clearly annoyed.

"My problem is that you're mine and only mine. Got it?" he said raising his eyebrows at me and I was furious.

"No I don't 'get it'! What the heck is your problem? I just met him for God's sake!" I snapped at him.

"All the reasons why you shouldn't, you just met him!" He snapped back at me, his eyes darkening.

"You can't tell me what to do and what not to do! I'm my own person and no one bosses me around!" I told him my voice raising, "And plus, I only think of him as a friend nothing more! Not even a friend, I just met him literally two minutes ago!" I snapped at him and headed outside and into the woods. I heard footsteps coming from behind me, but I ignored it completely.

"Jazzy, wait," Emma's voice called me and I stopped and turned around, waiting for her to catch up with me. "I think you have every right in what you just said. He can't boss you around like that, and you're gonna be Caleb's Luna not girlfriend," she told me. I sighed and dropped my head.

"Why did he make a big deal about it anyways?" I asked her.

"He's just protective I guess. I mean he's been waiting so long for his mate," She told me and I sighed again and nod.

Emma excused herself and I took the time to my advantage and to a run around the territory. I had to empty my mind; these last couple of days had been too stressful. I began to run and lost track of anything and everything.
