“And you’d better not say such things in front of the children. I’m not so open-minded. I’m not intending on exposing the three children to this at such a young age.”

After Qiao Nan refused him several times in succession, Zhai Sheng understood Qiao Nan was serious. “You know just how much time I spend at home. The three of them are getting in our way. Why don’t we send them to childcare after the new year?”

“Nonsense! They’re still so young. They’ll probably just have learned to walk and speak by then.” Qiao Nan disagreed to send the three children to childcare so early so that teachers could take care of their children on their behalf. It was not as though she was really busy. She could always take care of the children herself. She wanted to spend as much time as possible with the triplets before they grew up.

Qiao Nan knew that it wasn’t the three children who wouldn’t be able to leave her. She was the one who wouldn’t be able to leave the children.

“They won’t be young anymore. They’ll be three next year,” Zhai Sheng replied unhappily.

Qiao Nan was furious and couldn’t help but knock her head against Zhai Sheng’s embrace. “Do you mean that the triplets are already two years old to you?”

The triplets had been born at the end of the year and they were only five months old. But they had, in fact, ‘turned’ two years old while they were only two months old.

As such, the triplets would be three years old by the end of next year even though they were technically only a year and a half.

Thinking about how Zhai Sheng was trying to use this as an excuse to send the triplets to childcare for teachers to take care of them, Qiao Nan had the urge to get into a fight with Zhai Sheng. He was clearly trying to deprive her of the chance of spending time with the triplets! Zhai Sheng was being terribly fascist to do that!

“Hahaha…” San Bao’s tender voice rang out. She probably thought that her parents were playing around and thus crawled over toward her father while giggling. Qiao Nan’s heart melted as she heard San Bao’s little voice.

Qiao Nan picked San Bao up into her embrace. “Brother Zhai, has San Bao learned to crawl? San Bao, you’re Mom’s good girl. Why are you so amazing? Your elder brothers haven’t even learned to crawl but you’ve already learned to do it?” Qiao Nan gently caressed San Bao’s little tummy, delighting San Bao even more.

Er Bao squirmed and tried to enter his mom’s embrace too. Da Bao, on the other hand, had given it some thought and propelled his little body forward with his hands and feet. It seemed as though he had learned to crawl too. Qiao Nan happily picked Da Bao up and planted several kisses on his cheek. “You’re Mom’s little treasure. There’s no hurry. You’re still so young. Your arms and legs don’t have enough strength yet. You’ll surely learn to crawl when you get older.”

Qiao Nan knew that her three children were healthy. Even though they were triplets, they had not grown any less than an average child. Now that they were older, they were very different from how they had been at birth. Perhaps, it was because of the Zhai family’s genes that not one of the triplets was short. Even San Bao had grown to 1.67 meters in her previous lifetime.

As for Da Bao and Er Bao, they had all been handsome young men above 1.8 meters. Qiao Nan believed that her three children would be no different from gods and goddesses once they grew up if she raised them well.

“Ah…” Er Bao was upset. Da Bao and San Bao were horrible, especially Da Bao! They had snatched their mom’s attention!

Da Bao eyed Er Bao in disdain. How could he blame others for being smart if he was so stupid? And this stupid fool was even his brother!

San Bao watched on in delight as her elder brothers fought with each other, stuffing her mom’s hair into her mouth.

“San Bao, be good. Hair isn’t to be eaten.” Qiao Nan saved her hair from San Bao’s mouth in the nick of time. “San Bao, is your gum itchy, or are you hungry? Let Mom feel it.” Since San Bao’s stomach didn’t feel empty, Qiao Nan took out three pieces of biscuit for each of the children.

They were still unweaned and hadn’t become gods or goddesses just yet, so the three children were passionate about eating. Their mom was first in their eyes. Food came next. It was a perfect ranking.

“Why is someone stopping the bus…” Unlike Qiao Nan, who was having the time of her life at home, Wang Yang hadn’t resolved his issue with Qiao Zijin. Knowing that Qiao Zijin had indeed left on the bus back to Ping Cheng ten minutes ago, Wang Yang had no choice but to chase after it, even going to the extent of stopping the bus.

The situation had upset most of the passengers on the bus. After all, they were all rushing to their destinations. They had always gotten on the expressway but had been stopped at the junction. What was going on?

Even the driver frowned as he honked his horn continuously, in hopes that the car in front of him would move aside. If a car were to knock into him from behind and he knocked into the car in front, whose fault would it be?

“Sorry, sir. Please open the door. I’m looking for someone.” Wang Yang was terribly embarrassed. He had never done something as embarrassing as this in his entire life. He truly looked down on Qiao Zijin, and because of that, Wang Yang’s mood was probably worse than that of all of the passengers in the bus. “Don’t worry. It won’t take long.”

Qiao Zijin, who had been preparing to go to sleep after flipping through her magazine, frowned as she heard Wang Yang’s voice. Then, she laughed. Was Wang Yang chasing after her?

Just as Qiao Zijin expected, Wang Yang headed straight for her the moment the driver allowed him up. “Qiao Zijin, follow me to the capital. We can talk things through.”

“F*ck! It’s a couple’s conflict. Can you please settle your own problems? We’re in a hurry.”

“They don’t look like a couple. That man looks much younger than that woman. Is it a May-December romance?”

Wang Yang had already been in a bad mood initially. He felt insulted that someone had mistaken him and Qiao Zijin as a couple. “Qiao Zijin, hurry and get off the bus with me.” Wang Yang was in no mood to explain himself.
