『Day Four』
Ten Days (Yaoi BoyXBoy)
Day Four
I bumped into one of the guys in school. What was worse was that he was the leader of this gang.
"Watch where you are going you fat chibi!" He glares, and shoves me on the floor.
I landed hard on my bottom, and winced in pain. "Ow..."
"You pansy, you girl! No wonder you can't get a girlfriend. Go to a gym man." He laughs as his friends laughed with him.
"You are such a loser." One of the guys took my glasses, and swung it around in my face.
"Hey give that back!" I tried to grab them, but he kept pulling his arm back every time I did. I was pretty blind without my glasses. I could feel the headache slowly kicking in.
"Aw poor four eyes can't see!" They all laughed. I saw him throw them on the floor, and stepping on them. I could hear the glass, and plastic shattering.
"No!" I cried. I could see it blurred in my vision. My broken glasses.
"Let's go boys." The leader left with his group, and I was left in the hallway with my broken glasses.
I ran to the men's room, and locked myself in a stall. I cried. I cried, and cried until I felt the swelling emerge from my eyes. It hurts being picked on all the time. I wish my life would somehow get turned around. I had never gotten lucky with anything.
My phone vibrated. I had gotten a text from Tomo. My headache had gotten worse due to the lack of vision, and me crying. I had to squint, and stare really closely to my phone screen to make out the small characters.
Tomo: Want to have lunch together?
Me: I am not hungry.
Tomo: What's wrong?
Me: Nothing.
Tomo: Where are you?
Me: Bathroom.
Tomo: Which one silly? I want to see you. I wanted to tell you something.
Me: The one by the gymnasium.
Tomo: Be there in a bit.
I wiped my eyes quickly. I didn't want him to know I was crying. Then again, my eyes were already puffing like crazy.
I quickly got out the stall, and took some napkins to wet them with cold water. I placed them on my eyelids, and hoped that the swelling would die down.
"Hey, if you wanted a spa treatment, I would of bought you one." Tomo's voice said. I instantly threw out the cold napkins once I heard his voice.
His eyes opened slightly wider at mine. "Are you okay? What happened?"
"Some kids broke my glasses. I had a headache."
"You were crying?" He looked concerned.
"No...."
"It's okay to cry. It isn't weak. I do it often too." His voice soothed me a bit. I didn't believe that Tomo cried. What would his reason be for crying anyway?
"I'm just tired of it." I wiped my eyes. "I might just head home. I can hardly see without my glasses anyway."
"Let me take you home then."
"Why? You have classes."
"I wanted to spend time with you. I don't care about classes when you are upset."
He's perfect. Too perfect. Too scary too. "Fine." I gave in. I felt his company would be needed. I mean, we only have a week left. I have to savor it.
======
Tomo ended up taking me to the eye doctor, and getting me a new pair of glasses. How does he have the money to treat me like this?
"Where do you work?" I asked while we walked.
"I work with my mother at the clinic. I'm the desk assistant." He smiles. "Would you like to come over my house? No one is home, and I would love to have your company. That was what I wanted to talk to you about."
His house? Will he try to make a move on me? No guy would blandly invite someone over when the house is vacant unless they wanted to do funny business.
"Uh sure...what will we do?"
"Well I do have game systems. We can try those. I'll warn you that I'm not very good." He chuckles lightly.
"Wow that is okay. I can teach you." I smiled.
"I hope you are feeling better. I don't like seeing you sad."
"I am...I guess you are the hero today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
"You're welcome. It's my duty."
"One more week."
"One more week." He repeats with a slight smile.
======
I was in complete awe when I saw his house. It had a gate, and everything. He must be rich.
"Come in. I will get you something to drink." He gestures me to enter his house.
The house was clean. Plants decorated the table, the floor was spotless. There were plenty of artistic paintings on the wall along with a big flat screen tv. I was even jealous of his house.
"Water please." I asked politely.
"Okay." He goes to fetch a glass, and placed cubes of ice, and crystal water in it. "Here." He hands it to me. Our fingers touched, and I quickly grabbed it. He has soft skin. Why can't I be him?
"You have a lovely home." I smiled as I looked around in amusement.
"Thanks. My parents are very keen on having a nice looking living space. Come on, my room is upstairs." He starts walking upstairs, and I followed.
Was this the same cycle, and routine with all his ex girlfriends? Would he invite them to his house like this? I was too scared to ask, and too scared to turn him off by my curiosity.
Tomo opens the door, and his room was beautiful. It was mostly red, and white. His floor was shiny with the occasional fuzzy rugs. He lived in luxury.
"Wow." My jaw dropped.
"Here are the game systems. I only have a PlayStation 4, and a GameCube. I'm lame." He chuckles.
"No! I love the PlayStation 4! May I see your games?"
"I only have a little. I was playing Little Big Planet last." He blushes.
"That is one of my favorites! We should play!" I was hype. I hoped he didn't get turned off by my nerdy love for games.
"Sure." He picks up the two controllers, and hands me one.
We sat side by side on the couch as he turns on the tv, and PlayStation.
"Do you do this every ten days? The same cycle?" I decided to build up the courage to ask. I mean, it can't hurt to ask.
"Cycle? No I don't do the same thing with every girl. Most of them don't like playing PlayStation." He chuckles.
"Then what would you do?" I watched the screen as I started making my Sack Boy.
"Well I would go on dates. Take them out to eat, and just spend time." He begins making his Sack Boy as well.
"Is there something you would do with all of them?"
"Try to make them the happiest, hoping they would give me the same feeling back."
I finished my Sack Boy. I decided to make him Sung Wu Kong since I adored monkeys. "Typical. Why don't they make you happy?"
"They like me for the wrong reason. I can sense it. I'm waiting for something different. Something beyond this world." He laughs softly. He finishes his Sack Boy. His was simple. The default base with white skin, and bunny ears. Tomohisa is so cute sometimes.
"Beyond this world huh? How am I doing?"
"Well I know you are tense, and think it's a joke." He chuckles.
He read my mind pretty spot on. "Do you see potential in me?"
"Yeah." He nods, and enters a stage.
"Are you just saying that to shut me up?"
"No, of course not." His tone was serious.
We played level after level. I enjoyed hearing him laughing. If he is putting on an act, he's doing a pretty convincing job at it. I couldn't help, but grow closer to him.
I didn't want to admit the truth. I didn't want to admit I will be devastated once this week is done. I just didn't know how to face it. He will dump me on a Wednesday if I'm correct. He will tell me things aren't working out. I wasn't mentally prepared yet.
I needed to push him away. My mind formed a plan. I needed to get detached in three days. I need to. I don't want this whole week to be dreadful.
"Stop overthinking things." He utters out of nowhere.
"What are you talking about?" I tried to play it off cool.
"You've been walking into a wall for a minute now." He chuckles.
I looked up at the screen to see my Sack Boy walking in place because of the wall blocking me. I felt embarrassed. "Oops."
"Would you like something to eat?" He smiles.
"Eat? I rather not." I dismissed the idea.
"Well I will order some food anyway. I'm in the mood for some pizza. You may have some when it comes." He takes out his phone, and makes an order.
"I will eat if you promise to come to the club tomorrow. We are discussing a new thriller." I looked down hoping he would say yes.
"Okay I will." He chuckles. "Boy, you really want me to go so bad."
"Well I know you will like it. You also should face the fear of being around your ex. Don't let her win."
"She didn't win." He instantly replies.
"You stopped coming to the club because she's in there. Looks to me, she is currently the winner."
He looks off to the side. "Yeah I guess you are right."
"You're better than her. I bet you will make her jealous by being happy without her." I smiled.
He looks at me with kind eyes. He smiles at me, and nods slightly. "You're right. I will be happy even without her. Eventually of course."
"Yeah of course." I smiled back. A sudden warmth filled my heart.
======
Later that night, we had our texting ritual yet again. My favorite to say the least.
Tomo: I hope you got home safe.
Me: I did. Today was super fun. Thanks!
Tomo: I had fun too. Thank you for eating the pizza with me. I would of never finished it by myself.
Me: No problem. You are trying to make me gain weight though.
Tomo: No, gain happiness.
Tomohisa had such witty, and rememberable comebacks. I always end up smiling at them in the end even when I didn't want to.
Me: You are good with comebacks.
Tomo: I am not. You just aren't too good that's all hehe.
I chuckled to myself. He's a funny guy. I like how we can make fun of each other without taking it seriously. This was a refreshing friendship or relationship type of thing. I enjoyed it a little too much for my liking.
Me: I hate you haha!
Tomo: No, don't lie. I think I'm going to sleep. I'm pretty tired. I will see you tomorrow at the club. I promise.
Me: Okay. Goodnight, and see you tomorrow.
I felt a bit lonely once the texts stopped. I can't get all emotional now. It will stop permanently soon. I wish it didn't somehow....
