Chapter 256
Sweet Subterfuge
Chapter 256
Larissa was surprised to see Kevan settling for an economy seat alongside her. Given his long legs, it appeared uncomfortable for him to be sealed in an economy seat with little legroom. Larissa couldnât bear to see him like that and offered him the seat next to the aisle.
âYou donât need to worry about money. Why arenât you in first class?â Larissa was puzzled. If she possessed the same net worth as him. she would buy the entire plane for herself, let alone opt for first class.
âI want to accompany you,â Kevan answered without any hesitation. Then, he turned to stare at her. His gaze was filed with sincerity.
Larissa could feel her heart briefly stop before it resumed pounding in her chest, in an effort to mask the uncomfortable feeling, she swiftly made a joke, saying, âActually, you can treat me to an upgrade.â
Kevan was caught off guard by Larissaâs remark, but he quickly reached for his walel. We can do it now.â
He couldnât help but reflect on how his thought process might have been somewhat clouded yesterday.
Why hadnât he considered this carler?
âForget it.â Larissa quickly stopped him from summoning the air stewardess.
âItâs just a two-hour flight. It will go by quickly,â
Only a rich loclike Kevan would get an upgrade while they were already on the plane. Not only would he be forced to use cash, but he also wouldnât enjoy any benefits or accumulate his coints. Since she was used to economy seats, upgrading wasnât necessary if Kevan didnât feel extremely uncomfortable.
Feeling Larissaâs touch on his arm, Kevan suddenly thought that the once-uncomfortable economy seat no longer felt as harsh as before.
âOkay. We wonât upgrade then.â He agreed to her suggestion.
Just as Larissa was about to retract her hand. Kevan unexpectedly pulled it over, lily classing it and intertwining their liners. With numerous passengers around them, Larissa dared not struggle too much.
Then, she tumed to glare at him. However. Kevan acted as if he didnât see it. He reclined the seat and closed his eyes.
âBa stard!â Larissa scolded in a tiny voice while Kavar smirked imperceptibly.
Kevanâs striking appearance drew the attention of the air stewardesses, who often walked by him. As they passed. their eyes were naturally drawn to his face. One of the air stewardesses even went the extra mile and kindly offered him a blanket when she noticed he was asleep. going out of her way to assist in dracing it over him.
âLet me do âWith a malicious thought in mind, Larissa deliberately shook her hand held by Kevan, Instantly, the air stewardess! expression darkened. However, she still gave the blanket to Larissa.
Since the airflow in the cabin was poor, Larissaâs face was red from the heat. She wanted to remove her jacket but could break free from Kevan Fortunately, nâs hands were cold. Otherwise, she would have used all her might to get away from him.
Kevan wore fewer layers than her, but there should stilbe at least three pieces of clothing, so he probably didnât need this blanket. At the thought of that Larissa draped it over her own legs.
After that, she reclined her seat. Just as she closed her eyes, Kevan asked. âWhereâs my blanket?â
Larissa immediately opened her eyes and noticed his gaze fixed upon her. However, I would be more accurate to say he was actually looking at the blanket resting on her legs.
She pulled it off and asked, âDo you want th
âYesâ Kevan nodded.
In a matter-of-fact tone, he replied, âThe air stewardess gave it to me. Why wouldnât I want it?â
He seemed pleased, probably because he knew he was liked by women wherever he wer!.
