Chapter 759

When Allen locked eyes with Kevan, he could not help but shudder. After standing in place for half a minute, Allen finally walked over to Larissa.

Freddy was a bit timid. He kept hiding behind Allen. No one knew if it was because of the unhappy incident with Aster before or because of something else.

“What a coincidence, you’re here to watch movies too? Afraid that Freddy and Allen thought that she was still holding a grudge, Larissa took the initiative to talk to them.

“Freddy’s class is going to have a stage play. It will be based on this movie, so I canceled his piano class tonight.” Allen was talking to Larissa, but he kept glancing at Kevan. Finally, he could not help but ask. “This is?”

Larissa knew that he would ask, but she had not yet prepared the answer to this question. However, before she could speak, Aster could not help but quickly announce. “This is my daddy!”

His smug tone was obvious.

Kevan smiled warmly and held Aster tighter in his arm.

Although Allen had heard Freddy mention “Aster’s daddy” when he went to pick him up from school, he still had a bit of doubt. After all he had worked with Larissa together for so many years, and he had never seen any man appear with her intimately.

Allen blanked out for a few seconds before he thought he figured it out. “Your ex–husband?” he asked Larissa. She definitely had a previous marriage or relationship of some kind. Otherwise, she would not have given birth to Aster.

This time, Larissa’s right to answer was still taken away from her. A strong and firm arm wrapped around her shoulder.

Kevan trapped Larissa in his arms like he was claiming her. There was a faint smile on his lips. His voice was deep but clear. “I am her husband. Current husband.”

Allen’s eyes widened in shock. “Wh–what?” He hurriedly confirmed with Larissa. Is it true?”

Larissa, of course, could not refute Kevan in public like this. Besides, this was a good chance to get Allen to give up for good.

“It’s true.” Larissa adjusted her seating position and leaned a little into Kevan so that they looked closer.

“He is my husband.”

Allen refused to belleve it. “Then why have I never heard you mention him before?”

Larissa did not like talking about her private matters with others. If it were not for the fact that her roommate could not take care of Aster because of working overtime, no one in the company would have known of Aster’s existence as Larissa would not have needed to take Aster to her office.

Although Allen was her superior, he had Freddy, a child who was close to Aster in age. So he had more non–work related things to chat with Larissa about. That was why he knew a little more about her.

She never mentioned Aster’s father, so Allen thought that she was no longer in contact with whoever the person was. But she dropped a massive bomb in front of him today, it was so shocking that he was unable to recollect himself for a while.

“Because it was not necessary to mention it,” Larissa replied calmly. “He was unrelated to my job, so I do not have to report him to my superior.”

Then — Why did he never show up for so many years?” Allen asked again.

“His company is in Caldor, so he was unable to leave so easily.” Larissa said. “Our plan was for me to bring Aster over here to get a green card, then wait for the heart of his business to move here. Only then would we immigrate together, Actually, it’s not that he never showed up. He did, but I didn’t need to tell you.”

Allen was completely struck speechless.

Larissa fell a little guilty about Freddy’s look, But she could not comfort him in this kind of situation. She could only look down and look away.

The announcement came at the right time, reminding them to enter the theater on time.

With Aster in cre arm and Larissa in the other, Kever calmly said, “Let’s go.”

He did not even look at Allen or Freddy.
