“Why not?” Larissa thought Marilyn had overreacted. “Mr. Logan Junior is not a wall or something.

“What’s wrong?” Larissa turned to look at the direction Lewis had left in. Once she was sure she could not see him, she said, “I thought our company doesn’t prevent workplace relationships?”

She knew this because the presidential office had one couple. Although it was not obvious, they did not hide themselves when they were being affectionate with each other.

Although Lewis was strict, that was only on work. He could not prevent ladies from liking him.

“Shh Marilyn moved her chair closer to Larissa and leaned closer to her. She spoke in a low voice, “Our female employees know that all other men in the company are available except for Mr. Logan Junior.”

Lewis still watched them suspiciously. “There weren’t a lot of people paying for the bill” he replied.

Marilyn quickly grabbed her bag and stood up to prevent him from asking more questions. “Let’s go then since we’ve paid!” As she spoke. she pulled on Larissa’s arm.

Larissa was not afraid of Lewis, but she was afraid of Lewis seeing Marilyn in a bad light, so she agreed with her friend and said. “Thank you for your treat today, Mr. Logan Junior. I guess today ends here.”

Lewis pretended not to notice the weirdness of both ladies as he agreed with Larissa. He followed them out of the restaurant.

They walked back to the company to get their cars.

Larissa did not drive to work, so Lewis suggested sending her back. “It’s easy for me to drop by Larissa’s place, I can give her a lift back.”

“Sure. Drive safely.” Marilyn was probably still worried about Lewis holding her accountable, and she did not say more to him. She got into her car and escaped.

After getting into the car, Lewis only started demanding answers from Larissa. “Who did you say was into guys to Marilyn earlier?”

He only heard that one sentence, But from the ladies‘ reactions, he might be who they were talking about Larissa laughed as she tried to fudge it over. “Just a male colleague.”

“Who?” Lewis refused to let her go. He wanted to find out exactly who. “Which department? What’s his name?”

“Why are you asking such detailed questions? Larissa pretended to glare at him angrily. “Our company has no rule saying we can’t hire people like that!
