Sandy...

Third Person P.O.V

The three race quickly after the Nightmares, two others joining it as it races through the night.

(Y/N) still on edge, her eyes flickering around uneasily as she keeps up with Jack. He laughs lightly, diving down and spinning as Sandy floats on his other side on a sand cloud.

"Yes!"

Sandy smiles at Jack's enthusiasm, watching as he takes off ahead of the two. His smile falls when he looks at (Y/N), her face showing concern and confusion as he waves at her.

"I don't like this," (Y/N) explains, her eyes following the Nightmares. "They want to be followed. Otherwise, they would have disappeared by now."

Sandy's eyes narrow before he silently gasps, a cat yowling as he flies inside of a building after one of the Nightmares.

Jack and (Y/N) follow the other two, Jack smiling and playfully nudging her shoulder with his. She doesn't react, making him frown and tilt his head.

(Y/N) shakes her head swiftly, playfully grinning before diving up and over Jack. She yanks his hoodie over his eyes, making him yelp in protest as she laughs. Jack yanks his hood off, playfully glaring at (Y/N) as she flies off, him in pursuit.

Sandy bursts from the building riding the Nightmare. It rears up with a neigh in protest as Sandy presses his hand to its neck, making it turn gold before changing to a ray.

...

Jack laughs as he chases after (Y/N), pausing and slowing down as she conjures her bow and arrow.

She swiftly draws the arrow, firing it as it changes to a golden color, and strikes the Nightmare in the neck. It neighs before disappearing into gold sand, disappearing.

The last Nightmare snorts and races faster, Jack and (Y/N) not far behind. (Y/N) flies up as Jack follows it into an alley, not losing it.

The Nightmare snorts and rears up when it almost collides into (Y/N)'s waiting form, giving Jack time to blast it with his staff.

"You got it!" (Y/N) calls with a small laugh, making Jack smile as he flies up next to her.

He looks at the frozen Nightmare with curiosity, tilting his head as he squats down. Jack experimentally taps it with his staff, causing a small frost to trail where he dragged it. (Y/N)' brows raise as she takes out her arrow, poking at the Nightmare and gasping as her arrow trails a red spark.

"Whoa," Jack mumbles before laughing. "Sandy! Sandy did you see us?" He yells, jumping around as (Y/N)'s eyes narrow. "Look at this thing, (Y/N)!"

"Frost? Cupid?"

"Jack!" (Y/N) shouts, swiftly conjuring up and aiming an arrow at Pitch.

Jack turns around with a gasp, swiftly swinging his staff down as (Y/N) fires her arrow, Pitch dodging both with a laugh.

"You know... For two neutral parties, you spend an awful lot of time with those weirdos," Pitch muses as he reappears above them. "This isn't your fight, Jack and love."

Jack's eyes narrow as an anger boils inside of him, his teeth gritting together as he joins (Y/N)'s side and wraps his arm around her.

"Don't call me that, Pitch," (Y/N) replies in a low tone, her eyes sending a chill down Pitch's spine as he looks between the two. "And you made it our fight."

"Why, what ever do you mean, love?" Pitch questions in a light tone, casually glancing around.

"You made it our fight when you stole the teeth!" Jack snaps, gripping his staff tightly.

"I told you..." (Y/N) starts, leaping into the air and lunging at Pitch. She grabs his collar, yanking him close as he yelps and she aims her dagger at his throat. "... Not to call me that." She hisses, his eyes widening as he raises his hands slightly in surrender.

Pitch's Nightmare whinnies as it charges at the two, making (Y/N) gasp as she leaps away from Pitch, him disappearing before reappearing further from her. His Nightmare snorts before trotting to Pitch, disappearing.

He clears his throat, dusting off his coat as Jack smirks (Y/N)'s way. (Y/N) tucks her blade away, glaring at Pitch as her bow reappears.

"Pitch... Just give back the teeth," (Y/N) sighs sharply. "And leave the Guardians and children alone."

"Teeth?" He repeats, his voice holding disbelief and confusion. "Why do you two care about the teeth--"

Pitch suddenly looks behind him, gasping and jumping when he sees Sandy standing there with his arms folded, a hard glare on him.

(Y/N) smirks as Pitch nervously laughs, Jack gasping lightly before grinning.

"Now this is who I'm looking for!" He slightly smiles as Sandy's glare never falters. "Not that I'm not thrilled to see you, (Y/N)."

Sandy's eye twitches as he cracks his sand whips, Pitch yelling and dodging them as (Y/N)'s face turns smug. Pitch summons a scythe, swinging it towards Sandy as (Y/N) gasps. She quickly aims her bow, firing a gold arrow. It hits the scythe, making Pitch stagger and gave Sandy time to leap over it.

Jack rushes forward, ducking under the blade as it swings at him and looks up at the two.

(Y/N) flies upward, flying over the swinging scythe and kicking Pitch in the back as Sandy continues to strike at him with the sand whips. Pitch snarls and swings his scythe at her, making Sandy quietly gasp and narrow his eyes in determination. He cracks his sand whip, wrapping it around the scythe's handle and whipping Pitch into the air, slamming him down and into a building as he cries out before tossing him off the building.

"... Remind me not to get on either of your bad sides," Jack lightly jokes as he joins two.

Sandy grins in reply as (Y/N) smiles, taking Jack's hand.

"Eh, you could never get on my bad side."

Jack's heart flutters lightly before he frowns as (Y/N) removes her hand. He clears his throat before following after Sandy and (Y/N) as they join Pitch.

"Okay! Easy! You can't blame me for trying, Sandy!" Pitch frantically says as he scrambles to his feet. "You don't know what it's like to be weak and hated!"

(Y/N) hesitate at his words, frowning as she feels just a tinge of sympathy for the man. Jack glares at him silently, Sandy watching him with narrowed eyes as Pitch stumbles a bit while rising.

"It-- was stupid of me to mess with your dreams, so-- I'll tell you what..." Pitch's expression of fear quickly vanishing to a smirk, his hands raising. "You can have them back."

Jack gasps and jumps at the sound of whinnying, Sandy looking around with wide eyes as (Y/N) aims her bow around.

Nightmares slowly move in the area, appearing from every nook and every dark alleyway you could imagine. They came from rooftops and houses, and began to swarm the whole area.

"You take the ones on the left and we'll take the ones on the right?" Jack nervously questions with a grin, back-to-back with (Y/N).

Sandy shrugs with an uncertain face, turning as Pitch appears on the back of his Nightmare. His sand whips appear in his palms, (Y/N)'s arrow shining a brilliant gold as she glares at Pitch.

"Boo." Pitch smirks, and his Nightmares charge.

Sandy gasps, cracking his sand whips around and lashing at the Nightmares. (Y/N) charges at a Nightmare, her wings slicing through some as she uses her dagger to strike at others. She uses her bow as a shield, grunting and staggering back as it collides with a Nightmare.

Pitch looks up with wide eyes when he notices North's sleigh, gasping softly when it lands and races overhead.

...

Tooth sleeps soundly on North, North fast asleep himself. The sleigh hits the top of a building, startling everyone awake.

...

Sandy looks around with narrowed eyes before grabbing Jack and (Y/N), hoisting them onto a cloud and into the air in a spinning speed.

The Nightmares pursuit as Sandy loses his grip on Jack, continuing on when he saw he was alright.

Jack lightly gasps as he spins in the air, striking down one of the Nightmares.

...

Tooth shakes herself awake, swiftly flying to help her friend.

...

Jack grunts, spinning around and striking another Nightmare before shooting at one that flies over him. Tooth swoops down, destroying any Nightmare in her path.

...

Pitch laughs maliciously, shaking his head before charging up with more Nightmares in tow.

...

Bunny leaps onto the reindeer, jumping onto the rooftop of a building and throwing his boomerang with a yell. He leaps over a Nightmare, striking it down before kicking another one. He races to the edge as his boomerang strikes down another in its path before returning to Bunny, and he leaps onto North's sleigh once more.

...

North lets out a loud laugh as he draws his blades, swinging them and striking down any Nightmare that dared to approach.

...

Jack looks between two Nightmares with narrowed eyes, smirking as he becomes stiff and dives down. The two crash into one another, dying.

He gasps as another Nightmare slams into him, causing him to lose his balance and staff. Jack frantically tries to grab at the staff, eventually managing to do so before landing on the wing of North's sleigh.

Bunny raises a brow with a carefree face.

"You might wanna duck."

Jack looks back before swiftly ducking as Bunny throws his boomerang, killing the Nightmare. Bunny smirks with a raised brow as Jack looks back.

...

Sandy pants lightly as he continues to strike at the Nightmares, looking at (Y/N) in concern as she collapses onto one knee on his cloud.

Her heart was racing with adrenaline and a slight fear, warning her. She quickly rises, firing more arrows at Nightmares that charged.

...

Pitch slowly rises above the others on his Nightmare, looking between the two with an emotionless expression.

...

"We gotta help them!" Jack shouts as he looks up at the two in concern.

North nods, directing his reindeer, "yah!"

...

(Y/N) gasps as a Nightmare manages to get close to her, knocking her down. Her bow slides away, making her gasp. Sandy quickly turns to her aid, quickly whipping at any Nightmares that charged at her.  She reaches to her dagger, quickly stabbing the Nightmare and kicking it off as it disappears before she rushes to her bow.

(Y/N)'s heart began to ache, making her gasp and grip at it as she looks around. Her eyes widen when she sees him.

...

Pitch smirks as he raises his own bow, the arrow turning a sinister black as it shines in the Moonlight. He takes in a deep breath and fires.

...

(Y/N) lets out a scream as Sandy was pierced by the arrow, Sandy's body tensing and his eyes widening as he lets out a silent gasp of pain.

...

"No!" Jack yells, launching himself towards them.

"Jack!" North shouts after him, cracking his reigns.

...

"Don't fight the fear, little man!" Pitch laughs as Sandy slowly turns to him, (Y/N's eyes wide with unshed tears as she reaches for him.

...

Tooth gasps softly, trying to fly to them. She and the others were stopped by Nightmares swarming them.

"Hurry! Hurry, Jack!" North yells.

...

"I'd say sweet dreams... But there aren't any left." Pitch sneers at the two.

...

(Y/N) rushes to Sandy's side, whispering 'no' over and over. She gasps and hisses in pain as the black sand enveloping Sandy burns her, her eyes wide.

Sandy collapses before forcing a smile at (Y/N), gently patting her hand that was resting on the cloud before he rises, his head up high as he faces Pitch.

...

Jack gasps as he races to the two, hoping he can make it in time.

...

"And soon... There won't be any love left." Pitch murmurs, shaking his head with a sneer.

...

"Sandy?" North breathes out with a pained expression, his eyes wide.

...

(Y/N) chokes out a sob, quickly attacking the Nightmares as they rush her. She yelps as she was overwhelmed before she lets out a powerful scream, a blast of golden light shooting away the Nightmares around her.

...

Pitch scoffs softly as he takes aim...

And fires.

...

It flies through the air, making (Y/N) gasp when she senses it. She looks back, gasping and sputtering as the arrow pierces through her chest.

...

"(Y/N)!" Tooth gasps, her hands flying to her mouth as Bunny gasps, North's eyes wide.

...

"No..." Jack gasps, his eyes wide and his heart sinking as a feeling of dread washed over him.

"No!!" He bellows in a rage, flying to her as she begins to fall out of the sky.

...

Pitch scoffs, raising his arms to summon his Nightmares. They swarm to him, diving down to Jack and (Y/N).

...

Jack catches (Y/N) as she gasps in pain, clinging to him as her wings disappear. She shivers violently as Jack pants, grunting as the Nightmares collide with them.

...

Pitch smirks as they overwhelm the couple, feeling triumphant. He narrows his eyes and his grin falls when a flash of baby blue and gold flicker through the Nightmares, creating an explosion.

...

Jack yells as he uses his magic, (Y/N)'s hand raised and using her own to help him overcome them. Frost bursts from his chest as a gold light surrounds the two, protecting and guarding them.

He cries out as he focuses all of his magic on the Nightmares, frosting over and destroying them as (Y/N)'s golden light travels with it.

...

"What?!" Pitch gasps and yelps as the frost and light strike him down, and completely destroys his army.

...

Jack hugs (Y/N) tightly as they begin to fall, his magic drained.

...

"Jack! (Y/N)!" North shouts as Tooth flies to the pair, struggling to slow their fall as they land in the sleigh.

He groans lightly as he opens his eyes, shaking away his dizziness as he looks down at (Y/N).

"How-- how did you guys do that?" Tooth breathes out, looking at (Y/N) in concern as she pants lightly.

"I-- I didn't know we could," Jack manages to reply, shifting her so she was resting on the seat.

"Is she alright?" Bunny questions in concern, watching as she looks around.

"I... I feel... I don't know," (Y/N) replies, struggling to catch her breath as she shakes her head. "I-- I don't know if I'm okay."

Jack caresses (Y/N)'s cheek, forcing her to look into his eyes. His face showed great concern and fear as he softly sighed, leaning his forehead against hers.

"You'll-- You'll be okay. I've got you," he breathes out, pulling away and shaking his head as he looks her over.

Pitch stumbles as he rises, rubbing his jaw while laughing. He watches the Guardians leave with another breathy laugh.

"Finally! Someone who knows how to have a little fun." He smirks with a glare, looking towards Manny.
