Chapter 18

Savanna's POV

The sound of a door being slammed woke me up and I heard Nikolai's angry voice saying something in Italian before walking away from the door leaving the room completely silent and I tried going back to sleep.

No matter how much I twisted and turned I couldn't fall back asleep so I got up and got ready to go in search of Nikolai.

The hallways of the house were busy with maids cleaning, dusting, and rearranging all the house decorations in whichever way they saw fit.

I successfully avoided bumping into anyone as I made it into the living room which is where Nikolai's scent was coming from and as soon as I saw him there talking to someone the nerves washed away and a smile took over my face as I walked over to him and before I even had a chance to announce my presence he grabbed my arm and pulled me flush against him and kissed me like he was a starving man.

"Good morning Princess" his words were murmured against my lips and I smiled wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing him again.

"Good morning indeed" I giggled and wrapped my arms around Nikolai's waist so I could comfortably hold on to him while he put his arm over my shoulder and told me to give him a second to finish talking to Adam.

I suppose Adam was the man he was talking to before I interrupted them and I giggled to myself as I saw the young man whose face was flushed crimson and was having trouble forming coherent sentences.

After a while of just daydreaming and listening to Nikolai's sexy Italian voice they finally seemed to be done and I was dragged to the couch where Nikolai sat and pulled me on top of him.

"Baby there's something really important we have to talk about. You see one of the members from the moon goddess's council is coming over to conduct an inspection and he can be a bit of a meanie sometimes so we have to behave really really well and make sure everything is absolutely perfect. Do you think you can help me with that Princess?"

I could tell that this really meant a lot to him and I could also detect some flecks of worry and maybe even a speck of fear in his eyes. Smiling I gave him a tender quick kiss of reassurance.

"Of course Nick, I am Luna after all I'm sure I can keep my composure for one day and be a big girl"

"You are the absolute best." Nikolai attacked my sides with his fingers making me laugh out loud and squirm trying to get away from his hands.

After a minute he stopped and wiped a tear that had escaped my eyes from laughing so much and placed a kiss on my cheek.

"Come on, let's go get ready. Lord Henry will arrive here in the next couple of hours."

We went into our room and took a shower together which turned into a make out session under the water which then turned into me getting pushed against a wall and Nikolai claiming me in such a possessive way that after cleaning me and drying me he had to carry me into the room and lay me down on the bed while I tried to shake off the hazy feeling.

After some time Nikolai was already dressed in black dress pants, a white button up, black vest, and dress shoes. It's safe to say he looked absolutely delicious dressed like that. His hair was pushed back but not in a slicked back with gel kind of way but in a messy way, I could still run my hands through it if I wanted to.

He smirked when he saw me checking him out and did the same with me, the only difference is I was still naked and sprawled out on the bed. I blushed and looked away which made him chuckle and go towards the closet.

"Put some underwear on while I pick out a dress for you please."

I nodded even though he couldn't see me and stood up going to my bedside table and grabbed a white lace bra and matching panties.

The dress Nikolai chose for me was absolutely gorgeous and I had no idea it was in my closet. It was a white dress very simple and off the shoulders, it stopped right at my knees and it wasn't tight which was always a plus.

I wore a pair of nude flats that matched the nude lipstick I wore and smiling at my reflection in the mirror, I turned around and hugged Nikolai.

"Thank you Nick, I love it"

"You look absolutely breathtaking Princess. Now let's go, out guest should be here soon."

Nikolai held my hand and we walked towards the living room and sat down on the couch waiting for the 'prestigious' guest.

"I'm really sorry you have to be all grown up today, I promise I'll make it up to you and we'll have a wonderful playdate soon."

"It's ok really. I can be big every once in a while, you know, but a playdate does sound nice" I smiled and reassured him that it really was ok.

"Speaking of play dates, one of my friends who currently lives in the U.S is flying in next week with his little, would you like to hang out with them?"

"Oooh!! Yes please! I would love to." I've never had a friend who was also a little, I'm so excited!

"Ok princess, I'll call him and make the pla-..."

Nikolai stopped abruptly and sniffed the air, his eyes changed color for a millisecond before going back to normal and he straightened his back, took my hand in his and squeezing it a little.

"He's here." I squeezed his hand back and stood up with him going to the door.

We both put on our best smile and Nikolai opened the front door to reveal a very tall man, he looked to be around his 50s but I'm sure that due to his status he probably had a lot more years than that.

He had striking silver eyes and a really bulky frame. He terrified me. I squeezed Nick's hand tightly and he seemed to understand my feelings since he pulled me in closer to him.

"Lord Henry, welcome. Please come in." Nikolai stiffly bared his neck in submission and extended his arm.

I could see how hard it was for him to submit and I was relieved when Lord Henry nodded his head in approval and took Nick's hand and shook it.

"It's nice to see you Alpha Nikolai, and I suppose this is your mate...?"

"Yes. This is Savanna, my mate and Luna of this pack."

I also bared my neck and extended my arm "pleasure to meet you Lord Henry"

Instead of shaking my hand he placed a kiss on the back of it and I suppressed a shudder, forcing myself to smile instead.

We all moved to the living room and sat down, one of the pack members brought over drinks, crackers and cheese platter.

When the young girl left Nikolai took one of the cups with a dark brown liquid on it and I grabbed a tall cup of lemon water. Lord Henry grabbed the same as Nikolai and sat back on his seat.

"With all due respect Lord Henry, to what exactly do we owe the pleasure of your visit? Our last inspection wasn't that long ago" Nikolai took a long swing of his drink and leaned back pulling me in to his side.

"Well, news have gotten around that you made a new deal with an alpha from the United States and that you had come back with a stunningly gorgeous mate and I just had to come check it out. I must say the rumors did not do her justice, you're even more beautiful than I could've imagined."

A low threatening growl came from Nikolai and his arm tightened around my shoulder.

"Down boy" Lord Henry's eyes turned black and I decided to intervene before something happened.

Smiling big I put a hand on Nikolai's chest and then looked towards Lord Henry, "Thank you Lord Henry, that is very kind of you. Please excuse my mate, he's just possessive is all, he means no disrespect."

"I understand, I would also want to keep you all to myself if you were mines"

After a tense silence and a very awkward air around us Lord Henry cleared his throat and looked towards Nikolai.

"Is there somewhere we could go to discuss this deal you made?"

"Yes, my office, please follow me."

I stood up with Nikolai and looked at him asking him through our link  if I was allowed to go, he smiled at me and grabbed my arm leading me with him. I sighed in relief, I didn't trust these two in a room alone.

When we got there they immediately started talking about the alliance pact and all the other business and I zoned out for the most part only catching bits and pieces.

I didn't really feel comfortable with Lord Henry and I could tell Nikolai didn't like him at all. I really hope he leaves soon.
