Chapter 24

Shuyi's Pov

Shide parked his car in our garage, looked me in the eyes for a split second with his eyes filled with passion enough to send a shiver down my spine and got out of the car. I put my hand on the door still feeling too nervous to open it. I didn't know what was gonna happen when I got out of that door. One thing that I was sure of was that after today, nothing was ever gonna be the same. Even when I lived in this house, it drove me crazy in love heart insane when he called it "our home".

He walked to my side of the door and opened it for me. I don't know why but it felt like we were a newly married couple, longing for each other and yet so shy. I got out of the car looking down on the ground, not really confident to look him in his eyes.

He slowly caressed my cheek with his finger and slowly lifted my face by gently lifting my chin. I could hear our heartbeats intertwine with each other as our eyes met in that intense moment. He slowly got closer and closer to my face up until his mouth was right next to my ear and took a long deep breath.

"Your scent calms me down and drives me crazy all at once" Shide said still very close to my face.

"Uh..but I'm not wearing any perfume"

"Its you baby, no perfume can match your natural fragrance, it is just so intoxicating" He said brushing his nose against mine making me week in the knees in an instant.

Slowly, he angled his face in a way our lips were just a hair breadth away. I could feel his breath on me driving me crazy and fueling my desire and passion. He lightly opened his mouth and just when I thought I was going to be his.......his phone rang.

He closed his eyes for a second trying to calm his breathing, "I'll have to take this call, sorry babe" he said looking down at his phone. I know it was stupid but I really felt jealous of the person who was more important than me, especially when we were doing what we were doing.

He came back after a few minutes, while I waited for him on the sofa. He touched my neck slowly from behind and slowly brought his chin to rest on my shoulder still standing on my back while I was sitting on the sofa. "What took you so long?" I whispered.

Sorry baby, it was my childhood friend. She is visiting town tomorrow and is going to stay for a while for some work here. She was wondering if she could stay here.

"Okay, and what did you say?" I asked.

I said she is always welcome. She is a really old and good friend of mine, how could I ever say no. And that would also give us more time together since you can move into my room, and she could stay in the guest room.

"Move into your room?!" I said practically shouting.

"Well my room has everything, a space to study, and big collection of books, plenty space for another person in the walk in closet, and a very comfy yet unbreakable bed" he said ruffling my hair softly.

"Unbreakable..!!? Why would you mention that Shide!!" I said almost immediately.

"Why have you turned so red? Aw baby, your cheeks feel like they are on fire." He said giggling as he came and sat right to me on the sofa. "But i hope you know what I mean" he whispered and softly kissed the tip of my ear.

"Shide!!" I instantly pushed him a little back keeping my hands still on his chest as I felt his heart racing just like mine.

I am sure he felt my nervousness so he got up "let's eat something, you must be hungry after all the singing".

I nodded and followed him with the biggest smile on my face.

"You really should try singing professionally, I'm sure you will be successful in no time" Shide said as he passed me my bowl of rameyon.

"Ahh..i almost forgot to ask you...how did you know the words to my song!!!?? I have never sang it except once...at the.." I was about to finish the sentence but Shide spoke first.

"At the school festival. I was there. I was going through the worst pain I have ever felt emotionally on the day I heard you sing this song for the first time. My whole world was falling apart, my parents were getting divorced, I was torn between being with either one of them....but then there were you...you..this song..saved me that day..gave me motivation, hope, direction, courage and strength to understand my parents decision. I never got to thank you that day...but i am always going to be grateful to you Shuyi."

I had tears in my eyes realizing I had the capability to make just an impact on someone's life. And that person who none other than Shide, the one I am crazy in love with.

"I was destined to fall for you since that day now that I think about it. I read it in a cosmos magazine that a dying person life belongs to the person who saved it...mine belongs to you.." Shide said caressing my cheek and wiping off a tear from my face.

SHUYI's POV

I moved my stuff in Shide's room while Shide concentrated on staring at me wherever I went.

"You know you could help me"

"I know I know, but just looking at you setting your stuff in this room is a scene I don't wanna take my stuff eyes off from" he said.

I threw one of the sweatshirts in my hand towards his face, since I didn't want him to see how red I was getting by this stupid comment of his.

"Ahhh...I could so get used to this fragrance, so much so that I wouldn't mind having it all over me" he said practically inhaling my sweatshirt whole.

"Stop now....you're gonna be late to pick your friend up from the airport if you keep up with your dialogues any longer"

"These aren't dialogues my love, I mean every single word" he said removing his t-shirt and wearing mine.

Seeing him my clothes.....I could barely control my racing heart. I took a gulp down my throat "go now seriously, she's going to land shortly".

"Alright alright, I'm leaving. But I'll compromise with this t-shirt for now, when I am back, I want to have the direct source of the fragrance all over me" he said getting very close to my face.

He softly brushed his nose against mine with his eyes closed while I looked at how beautiful every single detail of his face was up this close. "I'll be back before you know it okay". I nodded like a little boy, his little boy.
