Chapter 25

Hana's POV

I rushed to the baggage claim as soon as I got off the plane and picked my bags.

I couldn't wait to see Shide after so long. I was so excited that I could help but almost run out of the airport.

I looked around to find him waiting by his car.

The same old Shide, my Sam! Exactly the same as I remembered. As I stopped and admired my view, he caught me staring at him.

He waved and walked towards me. "How long have you just been standing here for?" he said laughing at my silliness.

"Not too long, just admiring the view" I said walking towards the car leaving him behind with the luggage, not waiting to see his reaction.

He kept the luggage in the trunk of the car while I waited for him on the passenger seat adjusting my lip colour. I wanted to look the best for him. This time, I had prepared my mind to confess my long held feelings for him.

Just as I was about to play some music in the car using his phone, it started ringing. It was someone name "S" but what gave my a striking ache in the heart was not the letter was the red heart that followed it.

He got into the car and before he could check his phone for missed calls, I grabbed his phone "let me play some music!". He looked a little stunned but let me do my thing.

This 'S' person kept calling him for a few more times but it was my time with him, so I kept disconnecting! Until he needed his phone to use Google Maps. I didn't think too much about the 'S' person at first cause I knew Shide would tell me if he had someone in his life, but as soon as he looked at his phone and at the calls he missed from this person, he flipped out.

"When did he call so many times!!!? Why didn't you tell me!!" He shouted at me and immediately pulled over to call this person back. But what caught my attention was when he rushed outside the car to talk to them. You kidding me? I have known this guy my entire life, I flew 14 hours straight so I could be there for his birthday next week, but this guy wants privacy for a phone call? But at least that is a "he" he's talking to.

I waited while to stayed on the phone for good 10 minutes. He then came inside and started driving home.

"Hey, who was that?, I'm sorry if that was someone important" i said trying to hold his hand lightly.

"Very important" he said

"More important than me huh?" I was now getting a lil too anxious.

"Hana! You are my closest friend."

FRIEND! I am so tired of just being his friend. I was a kid when I first met him in school. I have always been in love. I have to get out of this friend zone!

Shuyi's POV

I called him to ask what should I order for dinner since I did not know what kind of food does his friend like but I guess he finds my calls disturbing now since he keeps disconnecting my calls. I don't wanna feel jealous, but just can't help feeling that a tad bit, i mean this girl just landed and he is disconnecting my calls. "Calm down Shuyi, you're overthinking again!, it's Shide", I told myself.

I ordered Pad Thai and Korean fried chicken with Kimchi and a few beers for dinner. Just as I was receiving the food delivery, I saw Shide park the car in the front driveway. I couldn't help but peak on the passenger seat when she got out, and I fazed out for a minute, SHE WAS GORGEOUS , I MEAN DROP DEAD GORGEOUS. Honestly, just to calm my mind, I was imagining her to be an average looking, nerdy, jet lagged girl to comfort myself, but there she is, a victoria's secret model looking girl. Shide looked at me and waved, i smiled and waved back.

"You ordered something?" He said as he walked to the door with her luggage.

"Yes, dinner" I swear I could barely speak.

"You are so thoughtful Shuyi, thank you, meet Hana. We have been friends for......basically forever". He said as she brought her hand forward to shake mine, "yes, he just can't live without me" she said jokingly as she shook my hand, or at least I hope jokingly.

Hana's POV

I sat on the dinner table while I waited for Shide to come sit next to me. He was in the kitchen with Shuyi, speaking of which, Shuyi seems a bit..i don't know how to put it..a bit different for normal boys. I mean for starters, I have never met a guy who didn't flirt with me or check me out. He seems quite..different.

Shide walked out with his dinner plate and mine and I dragged the chair right next to mine to make it easier for him, but he just froze there for a moment. "Whats wrong?" I asked.

"Oh no nothing, I was just gonna sit there, I mean thats my usual chair" he said while putting a dinner plate in front of me and the other one in front of the chair opposite to me, so Shuyi's. wow, so he will be having dinner with us, not that I mind, he is just Shide's buddy but I kinda was thinking of having some private time with him. Anyway, can't do much at this point.

"Wow, so won't even sit with your friend who flew so long to see you?"

"You didn't just come to see me, you have work, see ulterior motives!" He said squinting his eyes.

"Don't be rude Shide, sit with your friend" Shuyi said as he walked in the room with Shide's dinner plate.

Shide immediately sat next to me while smiling at Shuyi. Wow, that is interesting. I had a feeling by the way these two my hanging around each other, but my doubt's getting a bit stronger. They seem alot 'closer' than I expected them to be. There definitely seems to be something I don't know. One thing I know though, I don't share my Shide. Will have to get to the bottom of this very unexpected thing these two have.
