Chapter 324
Seducing My Ex's Father In Law by Caroline Above Story
âIâm fine,â I assured, her pulling my eyes away from Tyler to look up already fast at work.â
It was true, I could feel my wounds bealling as my wolf sumped her ener at her. âIâll be fine by tomorrow. My wolf is through my body.
âThank goodness for that,â Sammy said, hugging me quickly before pulling back. âI saw Tatry out there. Sheâs just getting checked out by some nurses and then sheâll come see you.â
I nodded, not wanting them to make a fuss over me.
âIâm fine, really,â I assured them. âDonât worry about me âI was thinking we should do a girlâs night,â Sammy suggested. âI think we could all use some time to relax and gossip.â
âThat sounds great, but Iâm stuck here,â I told her, lifting my arm to show her the IV in my arm.
âI think you are all set to leave whenever you are ready,â the doctor told me as he pulled the IVs out of my arm and dismantled me from the machines, âYour wolf should fully heal you by tomorrow morning and then youâll be back to your normal self. I donât see a need to keep you hereâ
Gavin didnât stick around; he excused himself and left without saying a word to me. I furrowed my brows at his retreating form, wondering what the hell was wrong with him.
âIâm glad you are feeling better,â Sammy told me, sitting on the couch in the hotel suite.
Tabby sat beside her, reaching for the bowl of popcorn that sat on the side table. She had a few scratches and bruises on her, but nothing too serious. She was also cleared for next week.
Nan and I were seated on the loveseats; Nan was trying to find us a movie to watch. The bruises on her arm caught my attention the second we were back at the hotel suite.
I tried to ask her about them, but she brushed me off and changed the subject.
I didnât need her to tell me who had done that. I already knew and I wasnât going to stand for it.
Tyler was a dead man.
âYeah, I canât believe Alpha Gavin rushed onto the arena like that,â Tabby laughed, shaking her head. âDid you see his face? I thought he was going to kill someone.â
âI wish I was there to see it,â Nan sighed, leaning back in the seat.
She finally found a romcom, and all she had to do was press play, but she held off while we continued to talk.
âEw, canât we watch action or something,â Tabby complained, crinkling her nose at Nanâs choice.
âI love romances,â Sammy said, a smile lighting up her face.
âYou would,â Tabby said, rolling her eyes.
Ignoring them, I turned to Nan.
âIs everything okay?â I asked her. âI mean with you and Tyler.â
She frowned at me.
âWhy do you ask...?â
1 glanced at her wrist, my eyes narrowed.
âBecause Iâm not blind,â I told her, raising my eyes to hers. âDid you really think I wouldnât notice?â
âLike I said to Gavin, I have it handled. Itâs okay. Iâm fine,â she told me, exasperated.
I raised my brows at her words.
âGavin?â I asked her.
âAll Iâm saying is romance movies are stupid,â Tabby said, cutting through my thoughts. âAnd corny.â
âSays you,â Sammy said, folding her arms across her chest.
Nan rolled her eyes.
âIâm choosing the movie, and I want to hear nothing about it,â she told them, ending their argument. She was trying to avoid our earlier conversation.
Nan grabbed the remote off the table and pressed play, giving them one last pointed look.
My phone buzzed on the coffee table, and I grabbed it right away.
Glancing at the screen, my heart skipped a beat when I saw Gavinâs name.
Gavin: Meet me in my suite. Now.
