“There’s a lot to do at LeapCo. I don’t have time to be anyone’s teacher,” Eugene said stoically with a cold look in his eye.

“Eugene…” Stella wanted to say something.

“Get out if there’s nothing else,” Eugene spoke stoically. Melanie looked up and met his cold eyes.

Eugene looked back at her and said with indifference, his tone lower than usual, “If you want this solved, get Xander Solomon to come here personally with the contract.”

Melanie was taken aback. She exhaled quietly and said, “I’m here to see you about something else.”

Eugene’s expression was stoic, and Melanie was silent for a while. Stella and Evelyn were still there, but she decided to go ahead and say, “Why are you stopping me from suing Viola?”

Her question was straight to the point, and she looked Eugene directly in the eye.

Melanie felt like she could hardly breathe when she heard this. She composed herself and said in a low voice, “It’s true that I no longer have anything to do with LeapCo, but Viola indirectly caused my grandfather’s death. This has nothing to do with you, but you’re protecting her.

She said this in a low voice as if she was holding back her emotions. However, she said each word clearly and crisply.

Melanie looked at Eugene and asked, “What’s so great about Viola that you’re unable to tell right from wrong because of her?”
