wednesday sits on the couch in the living room of their shared apartment. the nervous figure anxiously bounces their right leg as they wait for olivia to get home.

olivia rodrigo. olivia, their best friend and soon, their girlfriend.

the thought makes them giddy as they think about. wednesday has been in love with olivia since they first met in middle school and became best friends.

all of those years spent growing up with each other, grew from platonic into romantic, and the confused teenager buried their feelings in fear of rejection.

but after moving into a shared apartment almost a year ago, feelings just increased tenfold, especially when they started the youtube channel together. spending hours together outside of living together just made things harder.

wednesday snaps back into reality once the door opens and olivia speed walks in and kneels in front of wednesday.

the world practically stands still as wednesday's heart beats to the point of breaking out of their chest. a huge smile spreads across their face as the take olivia's hands into theirs.

"olivia isabel rodrigo, i have also liked you since 6th grade history with mr. kim. you made getting up every morning worth it to listen to his boring voice and earth-shattering sneezes. i don't really remember what you wore the first time i saw you because i was too focused on your pretty face. i really want us to continue cryptid hunting, so you can finally believe in ghosts. nothing brings me more joy than paranormal investigations with you because you always find the humor in everything and that calms me. i also really want you to date me."

a smile breaks out on olivia's face that rivals wednesday's. the two embrace in a hug and pull away to stare into each other's eyes.
