"Doctor! Shall I visit the patient in 101 today?" Harika asked eagerly. "Harika! Why don't you understand? He is very dangerous. Today I'm not permitting you there. You continue your case study with someone else" he instructed strictly and left the place."Why he is so scared about the patient sister?" Harika enquired the nurse. "He tried to kill a doctor madam! Even his family members stopped visiting him after seeing his cruel behaviour" the nurse explained."But I'm very anxious to know about his past life. How could a person be in this depression state for a very long period? Sister do you have any idea about his personal life?" Harika asked, "I'm not very sure about his personal life but he was depressed because of Love failure, a ward boy who worked here gave me this information. He also said that he is from a very rich family background" she confessed whatever she knew.Harika's eyes widened. "Love failure!" She annoyed. "Nowadays this generation kids are not knowing the true value of love. In our generation, this is very common. They will do anything to save their love but won't give up on that" she said making her laugh."Whatever! This is really stupid to spoil one's life in the name of love" Harika replied, someone called the nurse, so she left the place.Harika was in the deep thought, her mobile distracted her mind. A beautiful smile bloomed in her face seeing the caller ID. "Hello boss! I'm really surprised to get your call in this busy time" she surprised."I called you to invite you for lunch. If you don't mind, will you join me doctor madam!" He asked with a smile. "Sure sir! Why not?" She replied. He smiled, "Where are you? Should I pick you in your hostel?" He asked."No Harish! I'm in Kilpauk mental health hospital" she replied and he laughed loudly. "I never thought you'd admit there so soon!" He said sarcastically. "Hello mister! I'm a doctor! Never forget that" she warned with a smirk. "Okok doctor! Let me pick you up" he said with a smile and ended the call.Harika smiled gazing at her mobile screen. She never thought she would be smiling like an idiot seeing her mobile.She spent some time with Varsha and Harish reached the destination in next half an hour.They both reached the nearby restaurant. "What's up? How are your studies going on?" He asked casually."Everything is good. Actually I was very surprised knowing about a patient today. He is mentally depressed for more than twenty years. I asked for the reason and they said he a love failure and because of that he was depressed and now his condition is very critical.I was surprised to hear that a person will go for this extant just for his lover" Harika said with astonishment."What is there to surprise in this?" Harish asked with narrowed eyes. "Why don't he live his life once after he loose his love. Is love is everything in life? Why he should destroy his own life for someone who doesn't valued him?" Harika annoyed."Sometimes we won't understand their situation unless it happened to us. He might loved the person truly and that turned him into a mad man now!" Harish replied."I truly don't understand this! Whatever this is one of the biggest thing I learnt today. I never thought people would take love so seriously" Harika said, at the same time her mobile buzzed.She took the phone and felt happy seeing it's from her mom. "Hello ma! How are you?" She asked happily.They both talked for a while and Harish didn't listened her conversation. His mind was occupied with many thoughts and he thought about something so deeply."Harish!... Harish.....!" Harika's voice broke his thoughts. "Yeah Harika!" He smiled lightly. "Where were you lost? I'm calling you for a long time!" She annoyed. "Nothing! I.. I was thinking about something. You tell me!" He asked with a smile."Harish! my mom accepted to visit India and she wants to meet you. Will you join us?" Harika asked with excitement."Sure! It's my pleasure! I too wanted to meet your mom" he replied with a smile. Harika was on cloud nine. She felt happy and that made her had her lunch happily.They both spent some time together chatting and Harish dropped her in her hostel. She sent him off with a sweet smile."Hey Varsha! When did you returned from the hospital?" She started normally. "Just now! But nowadays you're more concerned about your new friend! You're often forgetting your studies too!" Varsha asked with a mischievous smile making her blush."Nothing like that! I just went for lunch that too after completing my case study" Harika replied pouting her lips making her laugh. "Hmm! I'm noticing everything! Nowadays I'm seeing this blush which suits your face very well" Varsha said pinching her cheeks."Shut up Varsha!" Harika smiled and left the place to hide her blushing face from her. "Harish! You're the sole reason for all these embarrassment!" She scolded him in her mind..."Mom! Please stop crying and have this food. You didn't had anything from morning" Harish tried to feed the food he was carrying in his hand."No Harish! I don't want to have anything" she refused with tears. "Ma! You're my everything. Just think about me! If something bad happens to you, I'll not survive in this world!" Harish said holding her hand."Don't utter those words Harish!" She said caressing his head. "Then please have this food. You need to take your madicine" he compelled her and fed her the dinner. She accepted that not wanted to disappoint him."Mom! We can't change anything which happened in the past. Try to accept the fact and stop worrying ma! Please" Harish requested her holding her hand."How can I forget my brother Harish? To me, He is my first son. I loved him more than a mom. Today it's his birthday! But I couldn't meet him, I want a security to go near him.Why God played such a cruel game in our lives? I couldn't forget anything Harish! I can't stop thinking about him" she replied with tears."You may think him as your son. But for me you're my everything, I can't risk your life. Don't you remember what happened last time when you visited him? He acted very rudely and he pushed you down. Your condition turned more critical that time. No one know my state mom. I experienced the utmost pain and trepidation that time. Every minute I faced hell mom! I can't see you in that state again" Harish's eyes filled with tears."I can understand your condition Harish! But today is his birthday. How can I stay here not seeing him! There is no one with him to take care! He would feel lonely right? That will worsen his health!" She replied with concern"Please mom! Don't try to meet him again. He is not in the state to understand your affection. For him everyone of us are strangers. He is preferring to be alone and he don't want us around him. Try to understand that and stay away from him. One day everything will be fine and we will be happy again" Harish said with hope."Whatever! I don't know how long should I condone all these troubles!" She wailed making him worried..."Mom! I'm very happy today. It's only because of you. When are you coming? Mom! I'm eagerly waiting for that moment" Harika blabbered in happiness."Next week I'll be there Harika! Not only for you! I wanna meet that person who changed my daughter completely. I'm really excited to meet Mr Harish! I tried a lot to change your cheerless nature but he did that within a week" Devi said making her annoyed."Mom! Are you teasing me?" She asked with same annoyance. "Just kidding you kiddy! But I think he has some magical powers" she laughed making her smile too but she refused that and ended the conversation after wishing her good night.Harika's thoughts revolved around him. She too asked the same question to herself what her mom asked, "Whether you have any magical powers? How could you change my life upside down within this short span of time. It's truly annoying and you made my nights sleepless" she thought gazing his picture.
